GENERAL PURPOSE ELECTRONIC SOUNDER
An eight tone electronic sounder suitable for a wide range of audible signalling applications,
where low cost, energy eciency & exible signalling solutions are required. e DC version
oers a two stage alarm option. e AC only a single. Tones are selectable via a 3 way dip switch.
e units are supplied in shallow base (IP54) format that allows for termination inside
the enclosure through a 10mm aperture at the back of the base only. As an accessory
item, a deep base version is available (part code 50151) that allows for 2 x M20 conduit knockout
cable connections or 2 x 10mm apertures at the base and is weatherproof to IP65.

Depending on tone set the SPL at 12v Dc and 115v Ac will be reduced.

Installation Instructions for shallow base units
Remove the pozidrive screw from the side of the shallow base. By holding the unit
securely with two hands twist the sounder head anti-clockwise to the base to undo.
Secure the base to the desired surface using the appropriate xings. Pull through power
& control cable and connect to the sounder head terminals as shown in the diagrams
below.
Re-assembly is the reverse of the above, rst ensuring the O ring is in place on the
sounder spigot and aligning the bosses with the indents in the base. Once mated, rmly
twist the sounder head clockwise to x in place. Replace the pozi drive screw.
Optional Deep Base
Drill out termination & xing holes & locate onto the desired surface. Pull through
power & control cable using the appropriate cable glands. Fit sounder head as above.
Installation must be carried out in accordance with the latest codes of practice by a
qualied electrician.
