1. SETUP PREPERATION
Please note!
•The standard distance between the left and right side is 850 or 1000 mm. The
provided radar cover is 1000mm long. Depending on the required distance it can be
shortened by 75mm on each side symmetrically.
•The radar assembly can be put in two positions, either in between the front or the
rear brake plates. One position is already taken by the cable cover which connects
the left and right side of the brake tester (it can be in either front or rear position
depending on your installation)
•It is also possible to replace the cable cover and use the radar sensor assembly as
a connection hub. It has two cable connections, one on each side. This way you
only have one cable cover with two functions: Connecting left and right side of the
brake tester and also connecting the radar sensor to the system bus.
Tools:
•Hammer drill and drill bits
•Ratchet with nuts
•Cable ties
•Bits/Screwdriver

2. INSTALLATION
Place the radar assembly in between the left and right side of the brake tester. The cutout
in the cover must show against the drive on direction. See figure above.
For the assembly you need the mounting/accessory set and the connection cables.
Attention: Unplug the connection dongle from the PC and close the PBT Software.
1. Unscrew the two cable covers (U-housings) which are left and right from the radar
assembly
2. Find a free port on one of the two connection boxes and connect the cable to it
3. Close the cable covers and screw them down
4. Mark the 8 holes on the ground (through the cover) and remove the radar assembly
5. Drill the 8 holes and put the plugs into the ground
6. Connect the cable to the radar assembly and put it back on the ground
7. Hide the surplus cable under the radar cover
8. Tighten the radar assembly tightly to the ground with the 8 provided screws

Connect the dongle to the USB port of your PC. Please start the PBT Software.
•Go to Settings –Service –Hardware Installation
•Check mark the Speed sensor and press save
