INTRODUCTION
Our thanks for your purchase of this Autocutter CT620Exa.
The unique feature of this autocutter is that material you print on A4, B4, A3, A3 wide or A4 wide
sheets such as business cards, postcards or tickets can be loaded in this cutter to produce the ex-
act amount of items you need.
This autocutter delivers high precision and great productivity thanks to a unique paper transfer
technique developed in-house at NJRC. You will ?nd this autocutter adaptable to a wide range of
applications in your business.
NJRC ?rmly believes that this autocutter is the “Best Print Finish Solution” for daily printing work
at your business and will deliver high productivity by simplifying once complicated post-processing
tasks.
Read this instruction manual thoroughly before starting work. It will help you acquire a full under-
standing for using all autocutter functions safely and correctly. Please be sure to keep this manual
handy for quick reference when needed.

Sec 1 Overview
1. Observe these precautions
Caution
Please keep the following points in mind in order to use the autocutter safely and correctly.
This symbol indicates information that if ignored may cause death or seri-
ous injury to the machine operator and others.

Warning
Warning
1. Do not install the autocutter close to potential sources of
heat such as forced-air heaters, kerosene stoves, inflam-
mable solvent or direct sunlight. These are a potential
fire hazards.
Warning
2. Do not dismantle or otherwise modify the machine. This
may lead to injury due to contact with the cutting blade
inside the machine or from electric shocks or fire, etc.
Warning
3. Turn off the power before attempting to clear up paper
jams (paper blockages) or before cleaning the machine.
Also, be sure not to cut your fingers on the cutting blade
inside the machine.
Warning
4. Insert the plug fully into the electrical outlet (socket). Fail-
ure to do so creates a fire and electrical shock hazard.
Do not touch with moist hands since this might cause
electrical shocks.
Warning
5. Provide separate single-phase 100 and 240 volt 10 amp
power sources. Using other than the these specified volt-
ages might result in fire or electrical shock hazards. Use
a grounded power outlet (socket) to eliminate the danger
of shock in case of electrical leakage.

6. Handle the power cable carefully.
Do not place heavy objects on the power cable. Do not
install the power cable near heaters. A damaged cable
may cause machine failures and become a fire or electrical
shock hazard.
Using excess force when bending or pulling on the power
cable or attempting to modify the power cable will create
fire or electrical shock hazards. If the power cable is worn
or damaged contact the dealer or service representative.
Warning
7. Disconnect the power cable immediately if trouble or abnor-
mal situations occur.
Do not attempt to use the machine under abnormal condi-
tions such as unusual sounds, odors or smoke, etc. Doing
so might create fire or electrical shock hazards. If abnor-
mal conditions occur remove the power cable from the
socket and contact your dealer or service representative.

8. Do not let foreign substances penetrate inside the machine.
If metal or inflammable material get inside the machine they
might create fire or electrical shock hazards. If this hap-
pens, remove the power cable from the socket and contact
your dealer or service representative.
Warning
9. Do not place metals or containers with liquid inside on top
of the machine. If these substances make contact with
electrical parts inside the machine it might create fire or
electrical shock hazards. If such substances should get in-
side the machine immediately pull out the power cable and
contact your dealer or service representative.
Warning
10. Always first turn off the power before attempting to replace
the rotary blade. Failure to do may result in injuries and/or
electrical shock.

11. Do not let your hands or fingers near the paper feed area
while the tray is rising. You might be injured if your fingers
become caught in the machine.

1. Do not install the machine in areas with high temperatures
and humidity or low temperatures and humidity. Do not
install in locations subject to direct air flow from an air con-
ditioner.

2. Do not install the machine in areas where volatile gases
such as ammonia might be generated.

3. Do not install the machine in locations that are unstable or
not level (within 1 degree of surface level). Doing so may
cause the printer to fall over and sustain damage. Do not
install in locations with large amounts of dust.

4. Leave an adequate space around the outlet (socket) so the
power plug can be quickly pulled out in an emergency.

5. Do not open any part of the printer during operation.
Doing so may cause equipment malfunctions or abnormal
operation.
Caution
6. Be sure to disconnect all external cables before attempting
to move the machine.
A damaged power cable might cause fires or electrical
shocks.
Caution
7. Grip the power cable by the plug body when pulling it out of
the electrical outlet (socket).
Never attempt to remove it by pulling on the cord. A dam-
aged power cable might cause fires or electrical shocks.

8. Keep the power plug clean. Check for any damage or
dirt on the power plug by disconnecting it from the socket
at periodic intervals. Damaged cables or accumulated
dirt or grime on the cable might cause fires or electrical
shocks.
Advice
1. Cleaning the printer at regular intervals is strongly recom-
mended.
Dirt, dust or grime that accumulate on or around the ma-
chine might badly effect machine performance. Clean the
machine at regular scheduled maintenance periods.
2. Labels attached to the machine
Various yellow warning and caution labels can be seen on
the machine. These labels give important information on
machine operation and daily maintenance that require par-
ticular attention. Comply with instructions listed on these
labels to obtain maximum machine performance.
