Dual functionality
Upright steam cleaning Handheld steam cleaning
Your steam cleaner can easily be configured into
two different cleaning modes:
•Upright steam cleaner for floors and carpets.
•Handheld steam cleaner (8) for cleaning vertical
or hard to reach surfaces.
Attachments (22-30) can be used on the
handheld steam cleaner.

ALower the main body (7) onto the floorhead
(17) until the floorhead release button (16) on
the back of the main body clicks into place.
BInsert the steam outlet nozzle at the bottom
end of the handheld steam cleaner (8) into the
adaptor at the bottom of the space in the front
of the main body.
CPush the steam cleaner firmly into the space
in the main body until it clicks into place.
DAttach the micro-fibre floor cloth (18) to the
floorhead using the hook and loop fastener
pads.
ERaise the upright handle (1) into position until
it clicks.
To fold it back down again for storage, press
the upright handle release button (2).
IPORTANT: Please remember that the steam cleaner operates by emitting steam at an increased
temperature of 115oC. Always test on an inconspicuous area first. Never use it on objects or
surfaces which cannot resist this temperature, or on surfaces with coatings or polishes, or on
delicate materials such as dralon, plastic, natural fur or antique items etc.
If in doubt, check carefully on a part of the material where minor marks will not matter.
I PORTANT: Do not use disinfectant, detergents, cleaning solutions, scented oils or scented water,
bleach or vinegar in your steam product. They will cause damage to your product and invalidate
your guarantee. We recommend you only use deionised or distilled water, or orphy Richards
water softener bottles, to fill your steam cleaner.

Using in upright steam cleaning mode
2
Attach the micro-fibre floor cloth (18) to the
floorhead (17), securing it in place using the
hook and loop fastener pads.
Remove the handheld steam cleaner (8) from the
main body (7) by pressing the handheld release
button (3). pen the filler cap (14) by lifting the tab.
Fill the water tank (11) using the funnel (20) and
filling jug (21).
I PORTANT: To prevent limescale build-up in the
water tank, never fill the steam cleaner’s tank
with anything other than deionised,
demineralised or distilled water (available from
most leading supermarkets). Any problems
arising from limescale will invalidate the product
guarantee.
Close the filler cap. Reposition the handheld steam
cleaner back into the main body (see points B and
C of ‘Upright Steam Cleaning: Assembly’).
Rotate the upper cord storage hook (5) to
quickly release the power cord (4).
4
WARNING: Before switching ON, ensure the
floorhead (17) is located safely away from
persons or animals.
Plug in at the mains outlet and switch on the
steam cleaner by rotating the steam dial (9) to
your desired setting. The power indicator light (10)
will illuminate green and steam will be emitted
after around 40 seconds.
1
IPORTANT: Before use, hardfloors should be thoroughly swept and carpets should be thoroughly dry
vacuumed. However, we recommend that the steam cleaner is not used on:
•bare wooden floors or any surfaces where wood is exposed (as it will absorb moisture and may distort).
•damaged hardfloors or hardfloors with gaps present (as it will absorb moisture and may distort).
Also, do not keep the steam cleaner in one place for an extended period, because the continual heat may
cause damage to carpets and laminate flooring.
Please disconnect and allow the unit to cool before changing cloths and attachments.

This function is ideal for cleaning vertical
surfaces and hard to reach places.
Separate the handheld steam cleaner (8) from
the main body (7) by pressing the handheld
release button (3) on the front of the main body.
Pull the handheld steam cleaner up and out of
the main body.
In order to use all of the accessories (excluding
the utility nozzle (28) and squeegee attachment
(29)), the accessory adaptor (25) must firstly be
attached onto the handheld steam cleaner (8).
This can be done by completing the following:
ASlide the adaptor into the nozzle of the handheld
steam cleaner with the release catch on the
underside of the nozzle in line with the square
hole on the adaptor.
Push together and fix into place.
BAttach the desired accessory to the end of the
adaptor by aligning the raised circular sections
on the adaptor with the gaps on the accessory
(ensure the same-sized gaps and circular
sections align with each other).
Twist the accessory until the arrow on the
adaptor aligns with the arrow on the accessory.
NOTE: handheld mode has been designed for
one-handed use.
Warning
WARNING: Switch OFF and unplug before
changing nozzles. After use, nozzles will be
very hot. Allow to cool before handling.
WARNING: When using in the handheld mode,
only ever hold the product by the handheld
handle
(6)
.
The underside of the handheld steam cleaner
(8)
will become warm during use - this is
normal. Never place the product on delicate
surfaces that could be affected by heat.
Never block any nozzle, eg. by holding against a
surface being cleaned.

Slowly push the cleaner back and forth along
the floor.
6
If cleaning carpet, rest the floorhead (17) with
the micro-fibre floor cloth (18) attached into the
carpet glider (19) to make it easier to move the
floorhead across the carpet.
N TE: The carpet glider has clips around the
edge to attach it securely to the floorhead.

Utility nozzle (28) is the base attachment for
attaching all the following accessories:
Elasticated utility cloth (30) for covering the
utility nozzle when cleaning upholstery and
bedding.
Squeegee attachment (29) can be attached to
the utility nozzle by inserting the hooks at the
back of the squeegee attachment into the loops
on the back of the utility nozzle, then secure the
front of the utility nozzle into the locking clip on
the top of the squeegee attachment (as shown).
Remove the squeegee attachment after use by
holding the locking clip forward. The utility nozzle
should still be hooked into the loops on the rear of
the squeegee attachment, pivot the utility nozzle
up and unhook from the loops to lift it away.
The squeegee nozzle is ideal for cleaning tiled or
glass areas such as windows or mirror panels. To
clean windows, start at the top, press the
squeegee to the surface and drag downwards in
straight passes from top to bottom. Wipe the
rubber blade and the bottom edge of the window
dry after each pass. For small window panels,
remove the squeegee attachment and spray the
steam directly onto the surface. Use the
squeegee separately to wipe away the moisture.
WARNING: Do not use on very cold glass, as
the sudden temperature change may crack
the glass.
Elasticated utility cloth (30) attaches to the
utility nozzle. This accessory is useful for cleaning
tiled or glass surfaces, cabinets and worktops in
kitchens and bathrooms, plus upholstery,
curtains, blinds, pillows and mattresses.
8
List of attachments for use on the handheld steam cleaner
Accessory adaptor (25) this attachment is the
base attachment for all handheld accessories,
excluding the utility nozzle.
It can also be used alone to clean places or
crevices that are not easily accessible.
Angled nozzle attachment (23) to clean sanitary
ware such as toilet bowls, taps or drain covers.
Point it directly at non-permanent stains on
carpets or upholstery whilst holding a clean cloth
near the stained area to capture any loosened dirt.
Spatula attachment (22) to remove stubborn
deposits, or to help de-ice the refrigerator or
freezer.
Nylon brush attachment (26) for use on tiles,
ovens, wheels, glass etc.
Brass brush attachment (27) for use on hard
stainless-steel surfaces such as barbecue grills.
Crevice brush attachment (24) to remove dirt
from grooves and crevices.

The brass ball weight (15)
The brass ball weight inside the water tank is
attached to the end of the suction hose. The ball
is weighted and designed to freely move around
the water tank of the handheld steam cleaner (8).
If the ball does get stuck outside the water level,
gently shake the product until it comes free. The
ball must remain in the water so steam can be
generated whenever the steam trigger is pressed
regardless of the orientation of the handheld
steam cleaner.
Rinsing the water tank
Regularly rinse the water tank to release any
deposits that have collected on the bottom of the
tank. nly use deionised, demineralised or
distilled water (available from most large
supermarkets) and close the filler cap to allow
vigorous rinsing.
Follow the two maintenance steps below after
every use.
1. Switch the cleaner off and unplug from the
socket. Place immediately on a suitable surface
(eg. tiled floor) where the residual heat/moisture in
the floor nozzle/cloth will not affect the surface.
Wait until the cleaner has cooled down
completely.
2. Empty the water tank (11) by lifting the filler cap
(14) and pouring out the water. Allow the inside of
the water tank to dry out before replacing the filler
cap.
We recommend storing the steam cleaner with
the carpet glider (19) attached, but the cloths
removed to minimise the likelihood of any water
leaking onto surfaces.
Wrap the cord around the two cord storage hooks
(5/12), rotating the upper storage hook (5)
upwards to secure the power cord (4) in place.
The upright handle (1) is collapsible for compact
storage by pressing the upright handle release
button (2).
WARNING: When locking the handle, keep this
area clear. Be careful not to trap your fingers
or any loose items of clothing etc.
The water tank
After use
Storage
Run-dry and blockage protection
If the steam cleaner is operated without water, then after a few minutes the pump that supplies the
water to the boiler will stop and the power indicator light (10) will change colour from green to red. If this
happens, switch the product off, refill the tank and then switch back on. After the 40 second heat-up
time, the pump will start to work and steam will be emitted.
The power indicator light (10) will also change from green to red (and the pump stop) if there is a
blockage to the steam nozzle. If this happens, switch off and allow the product to cool before examining
the nozzle for a potential blockage.
NOTE: Using the product with tap water can result in a build-up of limescale inside the product
boiler that may cause a blockage. This would not be covered by the guarantee.
WARNING: Never attempt to use descaler in the product.
Please contact our Consumer Care Helpline on 0344 871 0944 for further advice.
