Please take a few minutes to read this user guide.
Unpack your bunks carefully onto a soft level surface, such as a carpeted floor.
Familiarise yourself with the parts by comparing them with the PARTS CHECK LIST
below. Do not discard any packaging until you are sure you have all the parts.
The Recommended mattress for this bunk bed should measure 190cm x 91cm (6’3” x

Never clean with abrasive, ammonia based, bleach based, or spirit type cleaners.
Take care when handling or moving the bunks. Careless handling can damage
wooden furniture.

When used as bunks, the Side Safety Rails must be in place on the upper bunk and
the Upper Mattress Base Slats must be fitted and screwed down as defined in the
instructions, with the end slats adjacent to the bed ends, and the correct screw,
properly tightened, fitted through the ends of every slat.
Strong heat sources, e.g. open, electric or gas fires in the vicinity of the bunks may
be dangerous if placed near the bunks.
Do not allow children to bounce on the bunks. Using this furniture other than for its
intended purpose could cause damage to the structure or serious injury to your
child.
RECOMMENDED MATTRESS SIZE: 190cm x 91cm (6’3” x 3’0”) The thickness should not
exceed the line marked on the upper end when assembled as a bunk.
Be aware of the danger of young children (under 6) falling from the upper bunk.

FOR THIS STAGE YOU WILL NEED
ANOTHER ADULT. PLEASE DO
NOT TRY IT ON YOUR OWN.
Lift the upper bunk onto the lower
bunk, ensuring that the dowels in
the bedposts of the lower bunk
fit cleanly and simultaneously into
the holes bored under the feet of
the upper bunk.
Use the 8 screws (20mm long) to
lock one bunk to the other.

Decide which side you would like
to have the ladder.
The Short ladder stile will end up
at the bed end and the long
ladder stile connects to the safety
rails. The picture at left shows the
ladder being assembled for
attaching to the RIGHT hand side
of the bunk (bear in mind that it is
assembled from the rear). For a
left hand attachment, simply
reverse the positions of the 2
stiles.
Insert dowels into the holes in the
tread shoulders (not into the
metal inserts!)
Attach the narrow edges of the
ladder stiles to these and fix to
the treads using the 45mm bolts.
Tighten properly with the Allen
Key.

leg end and the remaining two 35mm bolts at the long ladder stile, for each.

Remove the safety rails and ladder
Remove the screws locking the top bunk to the lower, and WITH THE AID OF
ANOTHER ADULT, lower the top bunk to the ground.
Remove one end from each bunk, (you should not need to remove the mattress
slats), especially if you turn the bed over onto its side to access the Barrel Nuts.
Attach a Headboard to what was previously the upper bunk, and a Footboard to
what was previously the lower bunk.
Remove the dowels from the head end legs.
