U npacking and assem bling the scale
U npack the scale and rem ove the pieces ofshock protectorinserted
betw een the platform and the scale.
Using the scale with a battery
Remove the battery com partm entcover underneath the scale.Inserta
9V alkaline battery and connectto the battery snap. R eplace the battery
com partm entcover.
Using the scale with the pow eradapter
C onnectthe supplied pow eradapterto the inputsocketatthe rearofthe
scale and plug itinto the pow ersupply. Itis advisable to rem ove the
battery w hen using the pow eradapter.
Scale startup
Press the key. willappearbriefly in the LCD window
as the scale performsa self-check/zeroing routine,afterwhich
willappearin the LCD window .Wait60 seconds forthe scale
to warm up.Y ourscale is now ready to weigh.
Whatis the function ofTARE K ey?
You can tare (setto zero)any article used as a containerforsm allitem s
in the follow ing way.
Ifthe scale is sw itched off,press the key and waitfor
to display. Place the containeronto the platform,and then press the
key.The display willshow .Place the item to be
weighed into the container,on the platform.The scale willnow show the
weightofthe item ,excluding the weightofthe container.
Be sure thatthe scale is operated on a flatsurface
In orderto operate correctly, the scale mustbe installed on a firm,flat
surface.Itis advisable to turn the scale on 1 to 2 minutes priorto use.

The weightcapacity ofthe scale has been exceeded.
W hen the battery voltage is less than 7V ,LO appears in
the LCD atthe scale’s startup – replace battery oruse AC adapter.
Makesure to rem ove exhausted battery as old batteries leak.
