This product is guaranteed for a period of 2 Years, with eect from the date of purchase
and applies only to the original purchaser. This guarantee only applies to defects arising
from, defective materials and or faulty workmanship that become evident during the
guarantee period only and does not include consumable items. The manufacturer will
repair or replace the product at their discretion subject to the following. That the product
has been used in accordance with the guide lines as detailed in the product manual and
that it has not been subjected to misuse, abuse or used for a purpose for which it was not
intended. That it has not been taken apart or tampered with in any way whatsoever or has
been serviced by unauthorised persons or has been used for hire purposes. Transit
damage is excluded from this guarantee, for such damage the transport company is
responsible. Claims made under this guarantee must be made in the first instance, directly
to the retailer within the guarantee period. Only under exceptional circumstances should
the product be returned to the manufacturer. In these case it shall be the consumer’s
responsibility to return the product at their cost ensuring that the product is adequately
packed to prevent transit damage and must be accompanied with a brief description of
the fault and a copy of the receipt or other proof of purchase. The manufacturer shall not
be liable for any special, exemplary, direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or
damage under this guarantee. This guarantee is in addition to and does not aect any
rights, which the consumer may have by virtue of the Sale of Goods Act 1973 as amended
1975 and 1999.
This guarantee is in addition to and in no way aects your statutory rights.

PRODUCT DISPOSAL
When this product reaches the end of it’s life or is disposed of for any other reason, it
must not be disposed of in household waste. In order to preserve natural resources, and to
minimise adverse environmental impact, please recycle or dispose of this product in an
environmentally friendly way. It should be taken to your local waste recycling centre
or other authorised collection and disposal facility.
If in doubt consult your local waste authority for information regarding available recycling
and / or disposal options.
SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by a person
responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
Warning! Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed
below, may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
Do not use charger outdoors or expose to wet or damp conditions. Water entering
charger will increase the risk of electric shock.
Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by the battery charger manufacturer
may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. Following this rule will
reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.
Before using the device check that the mains cableand mains plug are not damaged.
Do not use the device if it has suered any heavy shock or jolting, or is damaged in any
other way.
Due to the heat generated during charging, the battery charger should not be operated
on a combustible surface/in an inflammable environment.
Do not cover the ventilating slits.
Never disassemble the device yourself.
Pull the plug of the battery charger out of the socket when it is not in use or when
cleaning it.
Only use extension cables that are approved and technically in perfect condition.
During operation provide sucient ventilation.
Malfunction during charging can be caused by storing and operating in places where the
temperature exceeds +40°C; this should be avoided. Battery charging in closed
cupboards, near heat sources (radiators, bright sunshine) etc., causes heat to accumulate
and can damage the device.
If the battery is not going to be used for a longer period, pull the battery o the battery
charger and pull out the mains plug.
Protect battery contact to avoid a short circuit caused by metallic object that can cause
a fire or explosion!
Only charge original recommended batteries.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the charger and battery,
charge only MH lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. Other types of batteries may burst,
causing personal injury or damage.
Before using battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings in this
manual, on battery charger, battery, and product using battery to prevent misuse of the
products and possible injury or damage.
CHARGING PROCEDURE
When charging a new NiCad and/or Li-Ion battery it should be fully discharged followed
by a full charge for the charging rate for the battery as stated in the product manual plus
30 minutes. This should then be followed by a full discharge and a further full charge
for the charging rate for the battery as stated in the product manual plus 30 minutes.
This procedure will condition the battery and equalise the cell voltages.
Following this procedure will ensure the optimum operation of the battery.
When repeatedly using the charger to charge a number of batteries always allow the
charger to cool down before charging another battery. It is recommended that the
cooling down period is not less than 30 to 45 minutes.
When charging a battery that has been discharged during heavy use allow the battery to
cool down before charging. It is recommended that the cooling down period is not less
than 30 to 45 minutes.
This charger is designed to be used indoors. We do not recommend that it is used inside
your home.
Ideally batteries should be charged on a bench in a workshop, garage or shed. If the
charging operation is to be carried out in your home the area must be well ventilated
and the charger must be placed on a non combustible surface ensuring that the ventilation
slots are not blocked. Never exceed the charging time except when “Conditioning” a
new battery, as this could damage the battery and charger.
NOTE: If the charger does not charge the battery pack under normal circumstances, return
both the battery pack and charger to the nearest MH authorised service centre for electri-
cal check.

OPERATION
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
The battery pack for this tool has been shipped in a low charge condition to prevent
possible problems. Therefore, you should charge it until the green LED on the front right
hand side of the charger comes on.
First read the safety instructions then follow the charging instructions.
Plug the charger into a standard 120V~60Hz mains socket outlet, the green LED on the
front left hand side of the charger will illuminate to indicate.
Do not allow the cable to become knotted or kinked.
Place the battery pack into the charger base. (Note the battery has raised ribs which
allows it to fit into the charger only one way).
2,0 Ah -battery, charge for 60 minutes
4,0 Ah -battery, charge for 130 minutes
The red LED on the front right hand side of the charger will illuminate to indicate
charging is in progress. A green LED will illuminate when the battery is fully charged.
Unplug the charger when not in use and store it in a suitable storage cabinet.
Avoid charging your battery in freezing conditions as charging power will not be
sucient.
When charging more than one battery pack in succession allow at least 30 minutes for
the charger to cool down before charging an additional battery.
Always remove the battery pack and store it safely when the tool is not in use.
Warning! Only charge in compatible 18V chargers. Use of other chargers may result in
fire, damage or serious personal injury.
Caution: If at any point during the charging process none of the LEDs are lit, remove the
battery pack from the charger to avoid damaging the product. DO NOT insert another
battery.
Warning! Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum based products,
penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.
Note: Batteries will not reach full charge the first time they are charged. Allow several
cycles (operation followed by recharging) for them to become fully charged.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS
Service, testing and repairs should only be carried out by authorised service centres.
From time to time the ventilation slots on the motor casing should be cleaned out. If the
unit should become defective, repair should be performed by an authorized service
agent.
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts.
Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and
may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
STORAGE
It is not recommended to leave it in a cold works van overnight. Ensure no metal filings
or swarf can fall into the vents during storage, as this may cause serious injury when it is
next used.

• Si la batería no se utilizará por un período prolongado, quite la batería del cargador y retire
el enchufe de alimentación.

PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA CARGA

baterías y el cargador al centro de servicio autorizado de MH más cercano para que
reciban una revisión eléctrica.
CARGA DE BATERÍAS EN AMBIENTES CERRADOS
¡ADVERTENCIA! La tensión de red debe coincidir con las especificaciones de voltaje
del dispositivo.

• Sólo cargue las baterías originales recomendadas.
• Si el cable de alimentación está dañado, debe ser reemplazado por un centro de servicio
autorizado a fin de evitar cualquier peligro.
• Al cargar un batería de NiCd o ion de litio nueva, esta debe ser completamente descargada
y luego ser cargada por completo con la tasa de carga adecuada, como se indica en el
manual del producto, más 30 minutos. Nuevamente debe ser completamente descargada y
cargada totalmente con la tasa de carga adecuada, como se indica en el manual del
producto, más 30 minutos.
• Este procedimiento acondicionará la batería e igualará las tensiones de las celdas.
Mediante este procedimiento, asegurará un óptimo funcionamiento de la batería.
• Cuando use el cargador repetidas veces para cargar varias baterías, deje siempre que el
cargador se enfríe antes de cargar otra batería. Se recomienda que el tiempo de
enfriamiento no sea menor a los 30 o 45 minutos.
• Al cargar una batería que ha sido descargada durante un uso intensivo, deje que la batería
se enfríe antes de cargarla. Se recomienda que el tiempo de enfriamiento no sea menor a
los 30 o 45 minutos.
• Este cargador está diseñado para utilizarse en ambientes cerrados. No recomendamos que
lo utilice dentro de su casa.
• Idealmente, las baterías se deben cargar sobre un banco en un taller, un garaje o un
cobertizo. Si la operación de carga se llevará a cabo en su hogar, el área debe estar bien
ventilada y el cargador debe colocarse sobre una superficie no inflamable. Además, usted
debe asegurarse de que las ranuras de ventilación no estén obstruidas. Nunca exceda el
tiempo de carga, ya que esto podría dañar la batería y cargador, excepto cuando esté
“acondicionando” una batería nueva.

OPERACIÓN
CÓMO CARGAR LAS BATERÍAS
• Las baterías para esta herramienta fueron enviadas en un estado de carga baja para evitar
posibles problemas. Por lo tanto, debe cargarlas hasta que la luz LED verde en el lado
derecho frontal del cargador se encienda.
• Primero lea las instrucciones de seguridad y luego siga las instrucciones de carga.
• Enchufe el cargador en un tomacorriente de 120 V, ~60 Hz estándar; el LED verde en el lado
izquierdo frontal del cargador se encenderá para indicar que está enchufado.
• No permita que el cable se enrede o se retuerza.
• Coloque las baterías en la base del cargador. (Nota: la batería tiene nervaduras que
sobresalen y hacen que el cargador encaje de una sola forma).
• Batería de 2.0 Ah, carga durante 60 minutos
• Batería de 4.0 Ah, carga durante 130 minutos
• El LED rojo en el lado derecho frontal del cargador se encenderá para indicar que la carga
está en curso. El LED verde se encenderá cuando la batería esté completamente cargada.
Desenchufe el cargador cuando no lo use y guárdelo en un gabinete de almacenamiento
adecuado.
• Evite cargar la batería en condiciones de congelación, ya que la potencia de la carga no
será suficiente.
• Al cargar más de una batería sucesivamente, espere al menos 30 minutos para que el
cargador se enfríe antes de cargar otra batería.
• Retire siempre las baterías y guárdelas de manera segura cuando la herramienta no esté en
uso.
• El mantenimiento, las pruebas y las reparaciones solo deben ser llevados a cabo por
centros de servicio autorizados. De vez en cuando, se deben limpiar las ranuras de
ventilación de la carcasa del motor. Si la unidad presenta averías, la reparación debe ser
realizada por un agente de servicio autorizado.
• Evite utilizar solventes para limpiar las piezas de plástico.
• La mayoría de los plásticos son susceptibles al daño que causan diversos tipos de solventes
comerciales, por lo que es posible que se dañen con su uso. Utilice paños limpios para
eliminar suciedad, polvo, aceite, grasa, etc.
¡Advertencia! Sólo cargue en cargadores de 18 V compatibles. El uso de otros
cargadores puede provocar un incendio, daños o lesiones personales graves.
Precaución: Si en cualquier momento, durante el proceso de carga, ninguna de las luces
de LED se enciende, retire las baterías del cargador para evitar dañar el producto. NO
inserte otra batería.
¡Advertencia! Nunca, y bajo ningún concepto, deje que líquido de frenos, gasolina,
productos a base de petróleo, aceites penetrantes, etc., entren en contacto con las piezas
de plástico. Los productos químicos pueden dañar, debilitar o destruir el plástico, lo que
podría provocar graves lesiones personales.
Nota: Las baterías no alcanzarán la carga completa la primera vez que se carguen. Deje
que pasen varios ciclos (recarga luego de la operación) para queden completamente
cargadas.

ALMACENAMIENTO
• No se recomienda dejarlo dentro de una camioneta fría durante toda la noche. Asegúrese
de que no caigan limaduras o virutas de metal en los conductos de ventilación durante su
almacenamiento, ya que esto puede causar lesiones graves cuando se utilice la unidad
nuevamente.
