Whenyouareinstalling theCPU, make surethatyou install thecoolerto
preventtheCPUfromoverheating. If you do nothavetheCPUcooler,contact
yourdealertopurchaseand installitbeforeturning on thecomputer.
Important
1.OverheatingwillseriouslydamagetheCPUandsystem.Alwaysmake
surethecoolingfancanworkproperlytoprotecttheCPUfromoverheating.
2.Makesurethatyouapplyan evenlayerofheatsinkpaste(orthermal tape)
between theCPUand the heatsinktoenhanceheatdissipation.
3.Whilereplacing theCPU,always turnoff the powersupplyorunplugthe
powersupply spowercordfromthegroundedoutletfirsttoensurethe
safetyofCPU.

1. LocatethefirstCPUsocket.(TheCPUhasaplasticcapon ittoprotectthecontact
fromdamage.Beforeinstallingthe CPU,alwayscoverittoprotectthe socket
pins.)
3. Raisetheloadleveruptoitsfull extent. 4. Opentheloadplate.
2. Removetheplasticcapfromtheloadplate.Thepinsof thesocketreveal.
5. Afterconfirming theCPUdirection(indicatedbelowwithredcircles)forcorrect
mating,putdowntheCPUin thesockethousing frame.Besuretograsponthe
edgeof theCPUbase.Notethatthealignmentkeysarematched.
6. VisuallyinspectiftheCPUisseatedwellintothesocket. Ifnot,takeout theCPU
withpureverticalmotionand reinstall.

when using2.4GHzCPUtheDDR2667MHzDIMM willoperateat600MHz.

Installing Memory Modules
1.Thememorymodulehasonlyonenotchonthecenterand will onlyfitin theright
orientation.
2.Insertthememorymodule verticallyintotheDIMMslot.Thenpushitin until the
goldenfingeronthememorymodule isdeeplyinsertedintheDIMM slot.
3.Theplasticclip ateachside of theDIMMslotwillautomaticallyclose.
vNOTE:Youcanbarelyseethegolden fingerifthememorymodule is
properlyinserted inthe DIMM slot.
