Do not insert the plus (+) and minus (–) ends of the
battery in reverse.

Use the battery specified by the manufacturer.

A clock is a precision instrument. Avoid dropping on
the ground or subjecting to any severe shock, this
may cause a malfunction.

Please avoid usage in the following locations as the quality
of the mechanism, case or battery will deteriorate, causing
a decrease in clock accuracy and shortened clock and
battery life.

Locations where the temperature exceeds +50°C/122°F.
For example, extended exposure to sunlight. Locations
near heating or other apparatus with hot blasts or flames.
z
Locations where the temperature is lower than
–10°C/+14°F. The quality of plastic components and
batteries will deteriorate.
z
Locations with long periods of high temperature and
humidity, such as in a sauna or bedrock bath.
z
Locations with a strong magnetic field, such as in the
proximity of television sets, office automation equipment,
audio apparatus, etc. Magnetic fields may cause the
clock to accelerate, decelerate or stop.
z
Locations where strong vibrations exist such as in a train,
in a ship or at a construction work site.
z
Locations where gas exists such as at the site of a hot
spring.
z
Locations where large quantities of oil are used. (Oil in
the form of a mist will adhere to the case and machine
parts, staining the clock or causing the clock to stop.)

If directly attached to flexible PVC for a long period of
time, colors may transfer or stain each other.
Static electricity may cause a malfunction.To rectify, press
the initialization button.

If dirty, wipe the clock using a soft cloth with a small
amount of diluted neutral detergent or soap and water.
Then wipe with a dry cloth.

Avoid using benzene, thinner, alcohol or aerosol clean-
ers to clean the case.
Please do not put small parts or batteries within the reach
of small children. Should the product be swallowed please
immediately seek medical treatment from a doctor.

If liquid leaked from a battery contacts the eyes, rinse the
eyes with clean water immediately and consult a doctor
for the necessary treatment. There is a risk of losing
eyesight. Also, if the liquid contacts the skin or clothes,
rinse with water.

Do not short-circuit, disassemble, heat or expose to fire.
These actions may result in the leakage of liquid, heating
or an explosion.

regarding waterproofing. Using the product without strictly
following the contents laid down in these precautions may cause a
malfunction.

Regarding waterproofing
When the battery cover is securely attached, this product is
designed to have a waterproof level equivalent to the IP code IPX-4
(splash-resistant type).
* IPX-4 is the splash-proof protection standard.
It is confirmed that water does not penetrate the product in the
conditions assumed by usage in the vicinity of a shower with
water splashing from all directions for a period of 5 minutes.
* The waterproof function is designed to work for both fresh water
and tap water.

Important points regarding usage
Although this product is designed for usage in places where water
splashes, such as near a shower, it is not completely waterproof.
As malfunction may be caused, please pay careful attention to the
points below.
●Do not put anything in the holes on the back of the speaker.
This can result in the loss of the waterproofing function.
●Do not soak the product in or put any of the liquids listed in the
example below in on the product. Also do not put sand or mud
on the product.
Example liquids: soap, detergent, water containing bubble bath
or similar, seawater, swimming pool water, hot spring water,
boiling water, pharmaceutical products, etc.
●Do not float the product on water or submerge it in water when
using. Also, do not intentionally splash water on it.
* It is possible to operate the buttons with hands wet with water.
●If a lot of water is splashed on the product or if it falls into a
body of water, please wipe the water off immediately with a dry
cloth.
●After using the product in a place such as a bathroom, wipe the
moisture off and place the product in a location with a low
moisture level.
●Please do not use the product in locations with a high
temperature and humidity, such as saunas or bedrock baths.
●When you are moving the product from a cold place to a warm
bathroom, for example, please move the product after it has
reached a normal temperature. If there are sudden changes in
the temperature, condensation is produced inside the product
and can cause malfunctioning as a result of problems such as
the development of rust and the shorting of the battery or circuit.
●Please change the battery in a place with low humidity and with
hands wiped dry of water.
●Please do not disassemble this product.
●The waterproof effect of the waterproof packing gradually
declines. The progression of the deterioration varies depending
on the environment in which the product is used.
