1. WARNINGS AND SAFETY
Read thi U er Manual carefully, a well a the imple rule li ted below. Failure to comply with the e
rule may lead to dangerou ituation .
Caution: The product cannot be u ed in official or non-official competition , motordrome , circuit ,
racing track and the like.
Caution: In tallation of the N-Com B902L y tem re ult in a weight increa e of approximately 120 g,
which i added to the weight of the helmet and of the other acce orie .
Warning: The electronic component of the N-Com y tem mounted in ide the helmet are not
waterproof. Con equently, make ure the in ide of the helmet, including the comfort padding, doe
not get wet in order to avoid damage to the y tem. If water eep into the helmet, remove the
comfort padding from the helmet and allow to air dry.
1.1. Road afety
Alway obey all Traffic Regulation in force. While riding your motorcycle, your hand hould alway
be engaged in actually riding the vehicle. Any operation to the N-Com y tem mu t be carried out
with the motorcycle topped.
Specifically:
•Set your cell phone on automatic an wer ( ee the cell phone in truction to do thi ).
•If your cell phone i not equipped with thi function, fir t top your vehicle in a afe area, in
compliance with Traffic Regulation and then an wer the call.
•Do not make any call while riding. Stop your vehicle in a afe place in compliance with Traffic
Regulation and then make the call.
•Adju t the volume o that it doe not cau e a di turbance or di traction while riding and at the
ame time allow you to di tinctively hear background noi e .
•Do not operate your cell phone or other device connected to the N-Com y tem while riding your
motorcycle.
•In all ca e , obey the Traffic Regulation and remember that riding the motorcycle ha ab olute
priority over any other manoeuvre.
•The B902L y tem i equipped with an emergency brake light (ESS – Emergency Stop Signal). The
ESS y tem IS NOT intended to replace the top or brake light fitted on the motorcycle,
con equently it operation alone i not enough for proper brake ignalling.
•Make ure that the u e of the emergency brake light (ESS – Emergency Stop Signal) i not in
conflict with the regulation in force in the country where you will be travelling.
1.2. Switching on the y tem in afe environment
•When u ing the N-Com y tem, comply with all limitation and in truction related to the u e of
cell phone .
•Do not turn on your cell phone or the N-Com y tem whenever their u e i forbidden or when
the e device can cau e interference or dangerou ituation .
•Turn off while refuelling. Do not u e the N-Com y tem at filling tation . Do not u e the device
near combu tible material or chemical product .
•Turn off when near explo ive material .

1.3. Interference
All phone and device with wirele ignal tran mi ion are ubject to interference that may affect
the performance of the device connected to them. The e interference are not a cribable to a defect
of the N-Com y tem.
1.4. Appropriate u e
U e the device only in the normal po ition, a de cribed in the product documentation. Do not
attempt to di a emble, tamper with, or modify any part of the N-Com y tem.
Caution: Adju t the volume of the N-Com y tem and of the audio ource connected to it before you
u e the y tem on the road.
Caution: Adju ting the volume to exceedingly high level may cau e damage to your hearing.
Caution: Incorrect in tallation of the y tem in the helmet may alter the aerodynamic and afety
characteri tic of the helmet it elf, thu creating dangerou condition . In tall the N-Com y tem
according to the in truction provided in the product documentation. In ca e of doubt, plea e
contact your local N-Com dealer.
Warning: Li tening to other equipment hould not interfere with riding your motorcycle, which mu t
be the top priority at all time . Carry out all operation on the electronic equipment and on the N-
Com y tem with the vehicle topped, in compliance with Traffic Regulation .
Caution: The N-Com y tem allow reception of the FM radio ignal. Any radio licence fee are
charged to the u er.
1.5. Qualified per onnel
•Only qualified per onnel can carry out technical a i tance on thi product. In ca e of any
malfunction, alway turn to your local dealer.
•The helmet i a afety device. Tampering with it and/or with the electronic y tem in ide the helmet
can re ult in dangerou ituation , in addition to invalidating the product warranty.
1.6. Acce orie and batterie
•Only u e the type of batterie , battery charger and acce orie approved by Nolangroup for the
pecific model.
•U ing a battery type different from the recommended one may lead to dangerou ituation and
invalidate the warranty.
•Contact your local dealer to ee about the availability of approved acce orie .
•When di connecting the power upply cable of any acce ory or of the battery charger, alway
grab and pull the plug, not the cable.
•Do not u e batterie for purpo e other than the pre cribed one .
•Never u e batterie or battery charger that turn out to be damaged.
•Do not hort-circuit the battery.
•Keep the battery at a temperature between 0° / +45°C (charging): -10° / +55°C (in u e).
•Danger of fire or explo ion: do not throw the batterie into a fire or expo e them to high
temperature !
•Do not throw out batterie together with hou ehold refu e. The batterie hould be di po ed of in
compliance with local regulation
•Do not wear the helmet while the battery i recharging.
•The helmet hould never be left within the reach of un upervi ed children in order to prevent
damage to their health cau ed by acce to the batterie .

di a emble the y tem from the helmet. Once the y tem ha been di a embled, di po e of it
according to the following in truction :
•The pre ence of a cro ed-out wheelie bin indicate that in the European Union the
product i ubject to eparate collection at the end of it u eful life.
•Do not di po e of the e product together with undifferentiated urban wa te.
•The proper di po al of ob olete equipment contribute to preventing po ible negative
con equence on people’ health and on the environment.
Within the European Union, the dealer, when upplying the new equipment, en ure that the u ed
equipment will be collected free of charge, provided it i equivalent to a ratio of one to one.

3. INSTALLATION ON THE HELMET
Important: Prior to in talling the N-Com y tem, it i recommended to write down the identification
code affixed to the product ( ee chapter 21.4).
You can download the in tallation video from www.n-com.it N-Com / Download ection.
•Before you in tall the B902L y tem on the helmet, make ure it turn on properly. Pre the “ON”
key for about 2 econd , until the blue LED on the key pad light up and you hear a beep in the
head et. Proceed with the in tallation.
•Remove the cheek padding ( ee helmet in truction ).
•Remove the helmet edge ga ket u ing the pecial tool (Fig. 1).
•Completely remove the ga ket a hown in Fig. 1; by doing o you al o remove the padding.
•Remove the “N-Com” plug found at the back of the hell ga ket and on the left ide of the
helmet.

•Prior to in talling the N-Com y tem, remove any filling foam material, if pre ent, from the helmet
(refer to the u er manual for your pecific helmet).

3.1. In talling the B902L y tem on the helmet

into the groove (Fig. 3).
Important: Make ure the Flex cable of ESS
y tem i not pulled too tightly.

Po itioning the right ide wiring and the microphone:
•Lift up the pla tic lining of the cheek padding (Fig. 7).
•In ert the microphone into the eyelet (Fig. 8) and po ition it in the pecial hou ing, then
in erting the metal boom in the groove found in the chin guard coupling frame (Fig. 9).
Caution: make ure that the ide of the microphone upport with the writing “N-Com” i facing
inward.
•Fix the cable in ide the helmet and make ure the right fixing clip nap into it hou ing (Fig.
10).
•Repo ition the pla tic lining of the cheek padding, arranging it behind the two mall top hook
(Fig. 11).

Po itioning the left ide wiring:
•Lift up the pla tic lining of the cheek padding (Fig. 12).
•Fix the cable in ide the helmet and make ure the left fixing clip nap into it hou ing (Fig. 13).
•Repo ition the pla tic lining of the cheek padding, arranging it behind the two mall top hook
(Fig. 14).

FOR N87 – N100-5 HELMENTS ONLY – po itioning the keypad
Important: In tallation of the keypad on the N87, N100-5 helmet require the u e of the “KEYPAD
ADAPTER” acce ory, which i included in the package.
•In ert the upport pecific for your helmet in the flex cable of the keypad (Fig. 15).
•Rotate the keypad upport o a to po ition it like in Fig. 16, then hook it to the keypad.
•Fix the cable in ide the helmet and make ure the left fixing clip nap into it hou ing (Fig. 17).
•Open the rubber cap of the B902L y tem.
•Rea emble the ga ket and ecure it with the pecific crew.
•Hook up the keypad to the helmet by clicking in the relevant hook (Fig. 18).
•The proper po itioning of the keypad i illu trated in Fig. 19 and in Fig. 20.

•Po ition the left and right peaker in the re pective hou ing obtained in the poly tyrene cheek
padding. If nece ary, rotate the peaker lightly in their hou ing. If nece ary, ecure them u ing

3.2. Applying the ESS y tem to the helmet
•Choo e the pecific adapter for your helmet. There i a letter on the adapter that corre pond to
the compatible helmet model, a indicated in the table below:

Depending on the helmet model on which

N100-5, N70-2 GT/X HELMETS
•After having repo itioned the hell edge ga ket, completely remove the film of the double- ided
adhe ive tape ( ection 1, 2, 3).
•Apply adapter “A” to the helmet hell, following the predefined template. The adapter ha to
match up with the line of the helmet and allow ea y acce to the crew of the hell edge ga ket
(Fig. 22).
•Hook the light to the adapter, making it lide downward (Fig. 23).

•After having repo itioned the hell edge ga ket, peel off ection 1 and 2 of the film of the
double- ided adhe ive tape. N.B.: It i recommended to cut off the piece of remaining film o that
it i not vi ible once the adapter i applied to the helmet hell.
•Apply adapter “A” to the helmet hell, following the predefined template. The adapter ha to
match up with the line of the helmet and allow ea y acce to the crew of the hell edge ga ket
(Fig. 24).
•Hook the light to the adapter, making it lide downward (Fig. 25).

the helmet and allow ea y acce to the crew of the hell edge ga ket (Fig. 27).
•Hook the light to the adapter, making it lide downward (Fig. 28).

3.3. Adju ting the microphone
The B902L y tem make it po ible to adju t the po ition of the microphone in order to facilitate it
po itioning in the different helmet model . Proceed a follow :
•Open the clip po itioned on the microphone boom, operating a indicated in Fig. 33.
•Adju t the microphone (Fig. 34).
•Clo e the clip (Fig. 35).

To en ure good voice tran mi ion quality, it i recommended to po ition the microphone ponge at
the ide of your mouth.

3.4. Removing the B902L y tem from the helmet

Proceed a follow to remove the B902L y tem
from the helmet:
•Pu h the ESS light upward to relea e it from
the adapter and have free acce to the hell
edge ga ket (Fig. 36).

•Rotate the keypad in a counterclockwi e direction (Fig. 39).
•Remove the cheek padding and the hell ga ket.

4. BASIC FUNCTIONS
Note: Before u ing the N-Com device for the fir t time, recharge the battery completely for at lea t
10 hour . To obtain be t performance from the battery, it i recommended to completely recharge
the battery the fir t few time . Afterward , you can recharge the battery for horter period . Whenever
po ible, it i be t to recharge the battery completely.

” and keep it pre ed for about 2 econd , until the LED turn
on and you hear the voice announcement.

” and keep it pre ed for about 6 econd , until the LED turn
off and you hear the voice announcement.
N.B.: during the witch on/ witch off pha e of the B902L y tem, the ESS light fla he for a few
econd .
4.1. Volume adju tment
You can ea ily adju t the volume by tapping the “” or the “” key. You will hear a beep when the
volume reache the maximum or minimum level.
Some volume parameter can be adju ted through the N-Com EASYSET APP for martphone or the
N-Com EASYSET computer program (chapter 4.4).
N.B.: The volume level et during the trip i not tored when the y tem i turned off. Each time the
N-Com y tem i witched on, the audio goe back to the et default volume level.
4.2. Auto On / Off function
If the helmet doe no move for more than 60 econd , the B902L y tem goe into “deep leep”
mode. The y tem i completely turned on a oon a movement i detected.
If the y tem i in “deep leep” mode for more than 3 day , it turn off completely. To turn it back on,
the “ON” key need to be pre ed.
The “Auto On / Off” function i enabled by default on the device.
You can enable / di able the function from the Configuration Menu (Chapter 6).
4.3. Multi-language voice me age
The N-Com y tem feature voice me age that provide information on the y tem and on the active
function .
The language et by default i Engli h. The language of the voice me age may be changed through
the pecific firmware in tallable with the N-Com EASYSET program. Plea e refer to the online HELP for
in truction on how to change the language etting .
Available language : Italian, Engli h, French, German, Spani h, Dutch.
The default function i enabled on the device.
You can enable / di able the “VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS” function by u ing the
N-Com EASYSET program or the N-Com EASYSET APP.

4.4. N-Com EASYSET

an be u ed to manage and configure the B902
y tem. The program can be downloaded from the Internet ite www.n-com.it, in the
“Support/Download” ection. The function that can al o be managed from the N-Com
EASYSET are li ted here below with the pecific icon.

Com EASYSET”, which
make it po ible to configure the N-Com y tem directly from your Smartphone.
The N-Com APP can be downloaded free of charge from Google Play or Apple Store.

4.5. Updating the firmware
The firmware update of the N-Com y tem can be carried out through the N-Com EASYSET computer
program.
•Download the N-Com EASYSET program from the N-Com web ite – in the
“Support”/”Download”/”Software” ection.
•Hook up the N-Com y tem to the computer and open the N-Com EASYSET program.
•Follow the direction until the program recogni e the N-Com y tem.

All the Bluetooth pairing up operation are carried out in thi mode.
In order to acce the Pairing up Menu tarting with the N-Com y tem witched off, pre the “ON”
key and keep it pre ed for 4 econd .
Once in the “Pairing up” menu, pre the key “” and “” to croll through the variou menu item .
In the item marked with an “*”, it i po ible to enable / di able the function by pre ing the “ON” key
to confirm.

•Activate the earch of Bluetooth device on the mobile phone.
•Select the N-Com device. If a pa word i reque ted, enter 0000 (four zero ).

N.B.: The affiliation i tored in the helmet and in the cell phone and it i not lo t when the two
device are turned off. A a re ult it need to be carried out only once.

8. SECOND MOBILE PHONE PAIR UP
The B902 y tem can be hooked up to two phone at the ame time. The econd phone ( econdary
device) can receive call but not make them.
To pair up the econd Bluetooth phone ( econdary device):
•Make ure the B902 i turned off.
•Put the y tem in the “Pairing up” menu: pre the “ON” key and keep it pre ed for 4 econd ,
until you hear the voice announcement “
