> FEATURES
> POSITIONING
NAD has an enviable reputation for delivering superb value for money, especially when performance is a priority. The T 747 will further enhance
this reputation by offering the very latest high definition features and performance at a very competitive price. Though not offering quite the
degree of customization of our higher priced Modular Design Construction AVR’s, the T 747 features the same remarkable flexibility of NAD’s
highly refined User Interface. And unlike other brands that inflate their power ratings to impress the unwary, NAD offers Full Disclosure Power
ratings that clearly spell out the capabilities of our products under real world conditions.

Performance
Don’t be fooled by the big power ratings of some
very low priced products. All power is not the
same! In fact, the quality of power is far more
important than the quantity of power when it
comes to the realism of your Home Theatre. The
amplifier section is more important than ever with
the new HD audio formats.
The T 747 has all the performance required to
fill an average sized room to satisfyingly realistic
sound levels without the harsh and muddled
sound so common among lesser AVRs. All seven
channels offer the same high performance using
high current discrete output devices.
Video quality is also top notch, whether your
source is analogue Component Video or the
newest HDMI digital format. The onboard
video processing engine is capable of adjusting
older formats to fit your new HD TV set adding
enjoyment to your existing library of DVDs.
Digital audio processing is handled by the latest
generation of 32bit DSPs and precision Analogue-
to-Digital and Digital-to-Analogue converters.
Specific audio quality components are used
throughout the signal path.

Features
The T 747 has everything needed to form the
centrepiece of your HD Home Theatre. Featuring
HDMI repeating (this is where the audio is stripped
off the HDMI signal and the video is automatically
passed along or repeated to the TV) with full support
for up to 1080p signals from HD set top boxes and
Blu-ray Players. Older analogue video formats are
not forgotten and can even be ‘upscaled’ to HD
format utilizing award winning Faroudja DCDi
technology and then sent on to your HDMI equipped
HDTV. All setup is done via the comprehensive On
Screen Display.
The newest lossless audio CODECs from Dolby and
DTS are also decoded on board the T 747 when
sent via HDMI from your Blu-ray player. Even discs
that do not offer a TrueHD soundtrack will benefit
from the higher bit rates and discrete 7.1 channels
supported by Dolby Digital Plus. Speaker setup is
highly accurate yet easy using the Auto Calibration
function. This uses a special microphone that is
placed in the viewing/listening area of the room to
‘listen’ to a special test tone that adjusts your system
for perfectly balanced surround sound performance.
High quality AM and FM tuners are included and
offer up to 30 AM and 30 FM station presets.
Additionally, the T 747 offers XM Ready (120V)
or DAB Ready (230V) sockets that allow a clear
upgrade path to these new digital broadcast
offerings.
Just add the NAD DB 1 adaptor (or XM adaptor)
and the T 747 uses its display, remote, and its
superb digital processing to get the most from these
exciting new formats.
iPod enthusiasts will also be happy to find support
for NAD’s optional IPD 1 and IPD 2 Docks for
iPod. This allows audio, video and pictures stored
on your iPod to be played directly on your NAD
Home Theatre.
A second independent AV zone is offered along
with all the necessary connections for integrating
the T 747 with advanced control systems. There are
even 2 remotes, one for the primary listening zone
and one for the remote zone. The main remote
also controls other NAD components for simplified
system control.
In keeping with NAD’s latest green initiative, there
are no heavy metals or hazardous chemicals used in
the manufacture of the T 747.
Value
When you see the superb build quality and note the
advanced feature list and performance specifications
of the T 747, you will immediately see why we are
so proud of our accomplishment. Costing no more
than ‘ordinary’ AV Receivers, the NAD T 747 is a
clear step up in performance and value. Experience
one at your NAD Dealer today!
