CAN I “HARDWIRE” THE POWER CABLE TO MY CAR/TRUCK INTERNAL WIRING?
Yes,the12/24vCigarettesocketplugcanbecutoffexposingablack(negative)andred(positive)
wire.Theblackwireshouldbeconnectedtothevehicle’sground/negativeandtheredwire
connectedtothevehicle’s“ignitionon”(sothatwhenyouturnofftheignition,thecameraturns
offaswell).

Note:Donotremove
theinlinetransformerwhichis15cmfromtheUSBsocketendofthecable.
ATTACHING THE ADHESIVE PADS TO THE BACKING PLATE
Connectthecameratothebackingplateandfind
thebestmountinglocation.
Onceyouhavefoundthebestlocation,checkthat
itdoesnotinterferewithrearvisionmirror.Mark
theglassareaandensureitisstraightandlevel.
Thoroughlycleananddrytheareawherethe
adhesivepadswillbeapplied.Removetherelease
paperandfastenonesideofthepadtothe
backingplate.Pressitfirmlytoensureagood
adhesivebond.
Removethereleasepaperfromtheothersideandstickitonthewindscreen.Pressfirmlyto
ensureagoodadhesivebond.
Donottouchoradjustthebackingplateandpadforatleast24hourswhiletheadhesivecures.

PlacetheCrashcamProwithinthebracketandscrewthefasteningscrewstoeachsideofthe
camera
Sitthebracketintothelower
hookingsectionofthebacking
plate(1)andthenpushthe
bracketintotothebacking
plate(2)sothetoplockingtab
clicksintoplace.
Note:Removethecamerainthereverseorder;however,besuretodepressthelockingtabatthe
topbeforehand.
Ifusingtheoptionalwindscreensuctionmount,youwontneedtheadhesive/backingplate
ADJUSTING THE CAMERA VIEW
Ensurethecamerahasaclearfieldof
viewaheadofthevehicle.Nomorethan
¼ofthebonnetshouldbeinview.
Hint:UsetheLCDscreenasaview
finder.
Memory card required for operation
The Crashcam-Pro requires an SD card (not included) to record video content. (see page 12 for a
table showing SD card capacity and the relevant amount of video content able to be stored). For
optimal performance, we recommend using at least a class 6 (UHS-1 if possible) SD card with a
minimum capacity of 8GB. (note, some class 10, UHS-2 “extreme speed” SD cards will not work)

POWER ON/OFF (AUTO ON/OFF)
ToturntheCrashcam‐ProON,switchthepowerbuttononthesideofthedevicetoON.Thiswill
alsolocktheSDcardintoplace.Toturnoff,slidetheswitchtoOFF.
Whenconnectedtothe12/24vDCsocket(cigarettesocket)ofyourcar,theCrashcam‐Prowillturn
ONorOFFautomaticallywhenthecar’signitionisturnedONorOFF.IftheCrashcam‐Prodoesnot
turnoffimmediatelyitmeansthedeviceiscompletingthefilesaveprocessbeforeturningoff
(usuallyonlyafewseconds).
Ifthe12/24vsocketis“constanton”(insomeEuropeanvehicles),thentheCrashcam‐Prowillneed
tobeturnedON/OFFmanuallyusingthepowerswitch.
ToturntheLCDdisplayOFF(butleavetheunitrecording)togglethescreenviewsusingtheOK
button.(Idealfornighttimedriving)
AUTO RECORD WHEN TURNED ON
WhentheCrashcam‐Proisturnedon(eitherbypressingthepowerbuttonorviatheautoon
feature)thedevicewillautomaticallybeginrecording.Tostoprecording,presstheSettingsbutton
orturnthepowerswitchOFF.
OPERATING THE CRASHCAM-PRO FOR THE FIRST TIME
Connectthecarchargertothecar’s12/24vCigarettelightersocketandtheotherendtotheMini
USBportontheCrashcamPro
InsertanSDcardintotheSDslotandswitchthepowertoON.Whentheignitionisturnedon,the
CrashcamProwillturnon.
Note:Whentheinternalvehicletemperatureishigherorlowerthantherecommendedoperating
temperature,theunitmayenteraprotectionmodeandwillnotfunctionuntilthetemperature
rangeiswithinoperatinglimits.

Note:Themainmenuscreenwillshow4on‐screenmenuoptionsforeachbuttonatthebottomof
thescreentogetherwiththelivevideoimagefromthevideocamera.

RECORDING FILES
TurnontheCrashcam‐Pro.Recordingshouldstartautomatically,ifnotpresstheRECbutton.When
recordinghasstarted,animageofadiscwillappearonthescreentogetherwitharecordtimer.
TherecordedfilesaresavedontotheSDCard.Recordingcanbestopped,byeitherpressingthe
Settingsbuttonorbyturningthecarignitionoff(stoppingpowertothedevice)
TheCrashcam‐Prosupportscyclerecording.Itwilloverwritetheoldestvideofileswithnewones.
DependingonthesizeoftheSDcardandthespeedratingofthecard,theremaybeasmuchasa3
secondpausewhilstoldfilesareselectedandoverwritingbeginswithnewerfiles.Thispausetime
willnotberecorded.
AUTO BUMP FILE RECORD - SAVING RECORDING VIDEO FILES
‐Duetothe“cyclerecording”natureofthistechnology,olderrecordedfileswillbeoverwritten
(dependingonthechosenresolutionsettingsandthememorycapacityoftheSDcard).
‐AlternatelytheGsensorwilltriggeranautosavelockifitsensesabump(sensitivityisselectable
viatheMenu),sothatthefilebeingrecordedisnotoverwritteninthecyclerecordprocess.
Note;Youcansaveamaximumof10lockedfiles(whichareindicatedinthedisplayasxx/10)
