NCRRemote Compact Display (7825)
Overview
The NCR Remote Compact Display (7825) is used with scale units to display weight and
scale status information. Its cable connects to the Scale Display connector of the
scanner/scale unit. The NCR 7825 is also used to display error codes that indicate
specific scale failures. It is available as a Dual Display or a Single Display.

Preparing the Site
This section provides the information necessary to prepare a site to NCR specifications
prior to installing the NCRRemote Compact Display. The site must be properly
prepared before the scanner display is installed because site preparation deficiencies
may be difficult to detect and correct after installation.
Environmental Considerations
The NCRRemote Compact Display operates in most standard working environments.

Note: Condensation may occur when the equipment is transferred from cold to warm
areas during shipment. The equipment design shall permit operation after flash
condensation has occurred, provided a drying out process has been accomplished, and
the equipment stabilized to the operating environment.

Installing the NCR 7825
The NCRRemote Compact Display ships completely assembled from the factory; no
installation assembly is required. The installation procedures extend from inspecting a
received NCR 7825 through verifying that the installed unit is operational.
Note: Installation procedures and cable routing may differ depending on the
scanner/scale unit used together with the NCR 7825 display. For more information on
using the NCR 7825 as a remote compact display for scanner/scale units, for display
diagnostics, and for other installation options, refer to specific NCR scanner
documentations.
To install the NCR 7825 display, follow these steps:
1. Position the NCR 7825 on its mounting location, ensuring that the cable is properly
routed and is not pinched.
2. Secure the base using two screws that are appropriate for the mounting surface.
3. Connect the NCR 7825 cable to Scale Display connector on the back of the
scanner/scale unit.
