1. General
Congratulations on your new explosion-safe Ultra2 rechargeable LED work light. If you follow
the instructions in this user manual, your new work light will give you years of enjoyment.
The explosion-safe Ultra2 rechargeable LED work light has been designed to safely supply
users with excellent light for a full working day. The microprocessor-based electronics closely
monitor the inbuilt chargeable Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries, ensuring a long life. The
capacity of the batteries is sufficient for the work light to be used at maximum output for more
than 8 hours.
The work light consists of a sturdy antistatic plastic housing, with a lens made of hardened
glass at the front and a special safety foil to ensure a perfectly even lighting effect. This effect
is amplified due to the fact that the 81 LEDs are distributed evenly over the entire surface.
Each work light is supplied with a charger that is suitable for supply voltages of 100 to 240
VAC, 50/60 Hz. The charger includes a number of attachments that can be used in all
European wall sockets.
The work light parts are manufactured from corrosion-proof materials, ensuring excellent
resistance to the effects of the most commonly used chemicals.
The Ultra2 work light has a CE label and complies with the European EMC and ATEX
directives, so it also implicitly complies with the European Low Voltage Directive.

2. Safety instructions
The Ultra2 work light is an explosion-safe light that is suitable for use in
potentially explosive atmospheres with an explosion hazard due to
flammable gas, vapor, mist or dust, classified as Zone 1, 2, 21 or 22. Before
using the Ultra2 work light, it is important that you thoroughly read and
understand this user guide and comply with the warnings and instructions it contains.
Explosion-safe materials must be selected and installed by specially trained and
qualified personnel, where the relevant stipulations in the EN 60079-14 installation
standard must be taken into account.
Do not use the work light outside the specified ambient temperature range of
-20 °C to +45 °C.
Do not cover the Ultra2 work light. If you do this, it may heat up to a temperature above
the design limits. Although the work light can also be used safely below freezing point, it
is important to remember that the battery capacity is significantly lower at temperatures
under 0 °C.
You may only charge the work light outside the zone when you use the supplied NEC+
charger. The work light may be charged at an ambient temperature of between 0 °C and
+40 °C.
If the housing, handgrip or lens of the Ultra2 work light are cracked, dented or broken or
are no longer in good condition for any other reason or if the work light has become very
dirty, the light must be repaired and/or cleaned.
If one of the LEDs is no longer working or is shining much brighter than the other LEDs,
the work light must be repaired.
In case of a defect, the work light must be immediately removed from the hazardous
area.
The Ultra2 work light may only be repaired with original parts, and repairs may only be
carried out by qualified professionals who have been trained on the basis of the EN-
60079-19 standard.
The battery pack contains no parts that require maintenance and may not be replaced
by the user.
It is not permitted to alter the Ultra2 work light in any way.
The Ultra2 work light may not be used in an environment in which (electrostatic) charges
are deliberately induced.

Light spectrum of the Ultra2 work light
The amount of blue light in the light spectrum of the Ultra2 work light has been defined as
2.52 W/m2/sr, measured directly under the work light. This means that the Ultra2 work light is
well under the limit of the ‘Low Risk’ category, which is 100 W/m2/sr. Working with the Ultra2
work light poses absolutely no risk of retina damage from blue light and therefore complies
with the requirements for photobiological safety as defined in the IEC 62471 standard.

This marking means that the Ultra2 work light has been designed for industrial applications
and that it complies with the requirements for Category 2 equipment used in potentially
hazardous areas due to the presence of gas, mist, vapor or dust. This makes the Ultra2 work
light suitable for use in Zones 1, 21, 2 and 22.
The protection technique used is Intrinsic Safety. Gas group IIC and dust group IIIC also
apply. The temperature class for the ignition of gas, mist or vapor is T4. The maximum
surface temperature for the ignition of dust is 135°C.
Compliance with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements in the ATEX Directive is
achieved through application of the harmonized technical standards EN 60079-0:2018
(General Requirements) and EN 60079-11:2012 (Intrinsic Safety). In the context of the EN
60079-0:2018 standard, the Ultra2 work light is considered to be transportable equipment
that is switched off during transport.
The Ultra2 work light is suitable for ambient temperatures of -20 °C to +45 °C.
No special conditions apply for safe use of the work light.
6. Charging
The Ultra2 work light may only be charged in a safe area using the supplied NEC+ charger.
Use of any other charger may invalidate the intrinsically safe protection of the Ultra2 work
light. The work light may be charged at an ambient temperature of 0 °C to +40 °C.
The NEC+ charger may only be used indoors and in a clean and dry location.
The standby time of the Ultra2 work light is more than one year. The work light should be
regularly charged to prevent the battery voltage from decreasing too much due to self-
discharge. This can cause permanent damage to the batteries, limiting the life span.
The work light switches itself off when the batteries are almost empty. The work light must
then be charged, preferably within two weeks, to prevent further reduction of the battery
voltage and the battery life span due to self-discharge.
7. Inspection and maintenance
Maintenance of the Ultra2 work light is subject to the requirements stipulated in the EN-
60079-17 standard and the relevant local regulations.
If the housing, handgrip or lens of the Ultra2 work light are cracked, dented or broken or are
no longer in good condition for any other reason or if the work light has become very dirty,
the light must be repaired and/or cleaned. The housing of the Ultra2 work light is
manufactured from electrically conductive (antistatic) materials that prevent the housing from
becoming electrostatically charged due to friction during cleaning.

If one of the LEDs is no longer working or is shining much brighter than the other LEDs, the
work light must be repaired.
The internal electronic circuits of the Ultra2 work light are always active, even when the work
light is switched off. In case of a defect, the work light must be immediately removed from the
hazardous area. The work light may only be used again in a potentially explosive
atmosphere after an approved repair has been carried out.
The required maintenance interval depends on specific use of the work light and should
therefore be based on the expected application by the user. An interval of 12 months is
recommended as a general guideline for light use.
The housing contains no parts that are important for use, maintenance or inspection, so the
user never needs to open it.
8. Battery pack
The battery pack of the Ultra2 work light consists of Lithium Polymer cells that are directly
connected to the LED driver. The battery pack contains no parts that require maintenance
and may not be replaced by the user.
To prevent damage caused by the discharge of static electricity, do not remove the battery
pack from the work light and do not touch the electronic circuits.
The battery pack of the Ultra2 work light can be recharged up to 1,000 times. It is normal that
the capacity of the battery pack will decrease as a result of charging and discharging. The
battery pack should be replaced when it is clear that the battery capacity has decreased.
9. Repair
The Ultra2 work light may only be repaired with original parts, and repairs may only be
carried out by qualified professionals who have been trained on the basis of the EN-60079-
19 standard.
The use of non-original parts can lead to injury to persons and damage to installations. When
non-original parts are used or when repairs have not been implemented properly, the
explosion safety of the Ultra2 work light cannot be guaranteed. In that case, Necplus B.V.
explicitly waives all responsibility.
When repairs are necessary, the work light should be returned to the manufacturer or its
representative.
10. Warranty
The Necplus warranty is a limited 12-month warranty from the moment of purchase by the
end user. This warranty does not apply to defects that are due directly or indirectly to

improper use, misuse, negligence or accidents, repairs or alterations carried out outside our
facilities or by service employees not authorized by us or due to a lack of maintenance.
To submit a warranty claim, the Ultra2 work light must be returned to Necplus for further
investigation, accompanied by an explanation of the problem. Necplus, where permitted by
law:
1. Excludes all implicit conditions or warranties and consumer guarantees; and
2. Limits its liability for infringement of the warranty or for infringement of a non-excludable
warranty, condition or guarantee of the consumer to:
a) replace the defective item; or
b) repair the defective item.
c) exclude all liability for death, injury to persons or damage to property or for incidental
and conditional, special or consequential damage resulting from the use of the
Ultra2 work light.

12. Disposal / reuse
The Ultra2 work light may be processed entirely as electronic waste. When processing or
recycling the Ultra2 work light and its packaging, compliance with the national environmental
laws and regulations is mandatory.
Alterations can be made to this user manual without notice.

1. Généralités
Félicitations pour l'achat de votre lampe de travail LED rechargeable et antidéflagrante
Ultra2. Si vous suivez les instructions fournies dans le présent manuel, vous profiterez de
votre nouvelle lampe de travail pendant de nombreuses années.
La lampe de travail LED rechargeable et antidéflagrante Ultra2 a été conçue pour fournir un
bon éclairage à l'utilisateur, et ce de manière sûre et tout au long de la journée de travail. Le
système électronique basé sur un microprocesseur surveille les batteries lithium-polymère
(LiPo) rechargeables intégrées pour garantir une longue durée de vie. La capacité des
batteries est suffisante pour pouvoir utiliser la lampe à pleine puissance pendant plus de 8
heures.
La lampe de travail se compose d'un boîtier en plastique antistatique robuste, pourvu à
l'avant d'une fenêtre en verre trempé recouvert d'un film de protection spécial qui diffuse une
belle lumière homogène. Cela est possible grâce aux 81 LED réparties de manière uniforme
sur toute la surface.
Chaque lampe est fournie avec un chargeur adapté à des tensions d'alimentation de
100 –240 VCA, 50 / 60 Hz. Le chargeur est livré avec différents adaptateurs pour pouvoir
être utilisé dans toutes les prises électriques européennes.
Les pièces utilisées sont fabriquées dans des matériaux résistants à la corrosion pour offrir
une bonne résistance aux effets des produits chimiques les plus courants.

La lampe de travail Ultra2 est certifiée CE et satisfait aux directives européennes CEM et
ATEX et donc implicitement à la directive Basse tension.
2. Consignes de sécurité
La lampe de travail Ultra2 est une lampe antidéflagrante adaptée à une
utilisation dans les environnements présentant un risque d'explosion en
raison de la présence de gaz, vapeurs, brouillards ou poussières
inflammables, classés comme zone 1, 2, 21 ou 22. Vous devez lire et
comprendre ce manuel en intégralité avant d'utiliser la lampe de travail Ultra2, tenir compte
de tous les avertissements et suivre les instructions.
Le choix et l'installation de matériel antidéflagrant doivent être confiés à un personnel
qualifié et spécialement formé de manière à ce que les dispositions pertinentes de la
norme d'installation EN 60079-14 soient respectées.
N'utilisez pas la lampe de travail en-dehors de la plage de température de
fonctionnement indiquée allant de -20 °C à +45 °C.
Ne recouvrez pas la lampe de travail Ultra2 afin d'éviter toute surchauffe qui dépasserait
les limites de conception. Même si la lampe peut être utilisée en toute sécurité sous le
point de gelée, il est important de savoir que la capacité des batteries est
considérablement réduite à des températures inférieures à 0 °C.
La lampe doit uniquement être chargée en-dehors de la zone, à l'aide du chargeur
NEC+ fourni. La lampe peut être chargée à une température ambiante comprise entre 0
°C et +40 °C.
Si le boîtier, la poignée ou la fenêtre de la lampe de travail Ultra2 est fissuré, déformé,
cassé ou endommagé de toute autre manière, ou si la lampe est fortement encrassée,
ils doivent être réparés et nettoyés.
Si l'une des LED ne fonctionne plus ou brille plus fort que les autres LED, la lampe doit
être réparée.
En cas de défaut, la lampe doit immédiatement être sortie de la zone comportant un
risque d'explosion.
La réparation de la lampe de travail Ultra2 peut uniquement être réalisée à l'aide de
pièces d'origine et par des professionnels qualifiés qui ont été formés conformément à la
norme EN-60079-19.
Le kit de batteries ne comporte pas de pièces nécessitant un entretien et ne peut pas
être remplacé par l'utilisateur.
Il est interdit d'apporter des modifications à la lampe de travail Ultra2.

La quantité de lumière bleue dans le spectre lumineux de la lampe de travail Ultra2 est
établie à 2,52 W/m²/sr, valeur mesurée directement sous la lampe. Ainsi, la lampe de travail
Ultra2 se situe bien en-deçà de la limite de la catégorie «Risque faible» fixée à 100 W/m²/sr.
Le fonctionnement de la lampe de travail Ultra2 ne comporte aucun risque de détérioration
de la rétine par la lumière bleue et remplit ainsi les exigences liées à la sécurité
photobiologique imposée par la norme CEI 62471.

La lampe de travail Ultra2 est certifiée conformément à la directive européenne ATEX

Ce marquage signifie que la lampe de travail Ultra2 a été conçue pour des applications
industrielles et qu'elle satisfait aux exigences associées aux appareils de catégorie 2
destinés à un usage dans des zones comportant un risque potentiel d'explosion dû à la
présence de gaz, brouillard, vapeur ou poussière. La lampe de travail Ultra2 peut donc être
utilisée dans les zones 1, 21, 2 et 22.
Le mode de protection utilisé est la Sécurité intrinsèque, le groupe de gaz IIC et le groupe de
poussière IIIC s'appliquant. Concernant l'enflamment des gaz, brouillards ou vapeurs, la
classe de température T4 s'applique. La température de surface maximale liée à
l'enflamment des poussières est 135 °C.
La conformité aux Exigences essentielles de santé et de sécurité de la directive ATEX est
atteinte via l'application des normes techniques harmonisées EN 60079-0:2018 (Exigences
générales) et EN 60079-11:2012 (Sécurité intrinsèque). Dans le contexte de la norme EN
60079-0:2018, la lampe de travail Ultra2 est considérée comme un matériel mobile qui est
mis hors tension durant le transport.
La lampe de travail Ultra2 est adaptée à des températures de fonctionnement comprises
entre -20 °C et +45 °C.
Aucune condition spéciale ne s'applique pour l'utilisation sûre.
6. Charge
La lampe doit uniquement être chargée dans une zone sûre, à l'aide du chargeur NEC+
fourni. L'utilisation d'un autre chargeur peut désactiver les circuits de sécurité intrinsèque de
la lampe. La lampe peut être chargée à une température ambiante comprise entre 0 °C et
+40 °C.
Le chargeur NEC+ peut uniquement être utilisé en intérieur et dans un endroit propre et sec.
La durée de veille de la lampe de travail Ultra2 est de plus d'un an. Il est conseillé de charger
régulièrement la lampe afin d'éviter que la tension des batteries ne baisse trop sous l'effet de
l'auto-décharge. Cela endommagerait les batteries de manière permanente et réduirait la
durée de vie.
La lampe s'éteint automatiquement lorsque les batteries sont presque vides. La lampe doit
alors être rapidement rechargée, de préférence dans les deux semaines, afin d'éviter toute
baisse ultérieure de la tension de la batterie sous l'effet de l'auto-décharge et la réduction de
la durée de vie des batteries.

7. Inspection et entretien
En ce qui concerne l'entretien de la lampe de travail Ultra2, les règles décrites dans la norme
EN-60079-17 et la règlementation locale éventuelle s'appliquent.
Si le boîtier, la poignée ou la fenêtre de la lampe de travail Ultra2 est fissuré, déformé, cassé
ou endommagé de toute autre manière, ou si la lampe est fortement encrassée, ils doivent
être réparés et nettoyés. Le boîtier de la lampe de travail Ultra2 est fabriqué dans un
matériau conducteur d'électricité (antistatique) qui empêche le boîtier de se charger en
électricité statique sous l'effet de la friction durant le nettoyage.
Si l'une des LED ne fonctionne plus ou brille plus fort que les autres LED, la lampe doit être
réparée.
Les circuits électroniques internes de la lampe de travail Ultra2 sont toujours actifs, même
lorsque la lampe est éteinte. En cas de défaut, la lampe doit immédiatement être sortie de la
zone comportant un risque d'explosion. Ce n'est qu'après une réparation homologuée que la
lampe peut à nouveau être placée dans une zone à risque d'explosion.
L'intervalle d'entretien nécessaire dépend de l'usage spécifique et doit donc être adapté à
l'application prévue par l'utilisateur. En règle générale, un intervalle de 12 mois est
recommandé pour l'usage de la lumière.
Le boîtier ne renferme pas de pièces importantes pour l'utilisation, l'entretien ou l'inspection.
L'utilisateur n'a donc pas besoin de l'ouvrir.
8. Kit de batteries
Le kit de batteries de la lampe de travail Ultra2 se compose de cellules lithium-polymère
directement reliées au pilote LED. Le kit de batteries ne comporte pas de pièces nécessitant
un entretien et ne peut pas être remplacé par l'utilisateur.
Ne sortez jamais le kit de batteries de la lampe et ne touchez pas les circuits électroniques
afin d'éviter tout dommage causé par une décharge d'électricité statique.
Le kit de batteries de la lampe de travail Ultra2 peut être rechargé 1 000 fois. Il est normal
que la capacité du kit de batteries diminue sous l'effet des charges et décharges répétées. Il
peut s'avérer judicieux de faire remplacer le kit de batteries si la capacité a considérablement
diminué.
9. Réparation
La réparation de la lampe de travail Ultra2 peut uniquement être réalisée à l'aide de pièces
d'origine et par des professionnels qualifiés qui ont été formés conformément à la norme EN-
60079-19.
L'utilisation d'autres pièces risque de causer des dommages aux personnes et aux
installations. En cas d'utilisation de pièces non originales ou si les réparations ne sont pas

confiées à un professionnel, la protection contre les explosions de la lampe de travail Ultra2
ne peut être garantie. Dans ce cas, Necplus B.V. rejette expressément toute responsabilité.
Il est recommandé de renvoyer la lampe au fabricant ou à son représentant pour réparation.
10. Garantie
La garantie Necplus est une garantie limitée de 12 mois à compter de la date d'achat par
l'utilisateur final. Cette garantie ne s'applique pas aux défauts causés de manière directe ou
indirecte par un usage impropre, un usage abusif, une négligence ou un accident, des
réparations ou modifications réalisées en-dehors de nos installations ou collaborateurs de
service agréés ou une absence d'entretien.
Pour pouvoir soumettre une demande d'intervention entrant dans le cadre de la garantie, la
lampe de travail Ultra2 doit être renvoyée à Necplus pour inspection, accompagnée d'une
explication du problème. Dans la limite où la loi le permet, Necplus:
1. Exclut toutes les conditions implicites ou garanties et garanties des consommateurs; et
2. Limite sa responsabilité en cas de violation de la garantie ou de violation d'une garantie
non-excluable, condition ou garantie du consommateur:
a) au remplacement du produit défectueux; ou
b) à la réparation du produit défectueux.
c) Rejette toute responsabilité en cas de décès, blessures corporelles ou dommages
matériels, ou de dommages accidentels ou conditionnels, spéciaux ou consécutifs
dus à l'utilisation de la lampe de travail Ultra2.

12. Mise au rebut / recyclage
La lampe de travail Ultra2 peut entièrement être traitée comme déchet électronique. En cas
