1 Preface
Read the product documentaon carefully before installaon, use, and service of this
product. Replace documentaon immediately if lost. Nederman reserves the right,
without previous noce, to modify and improve its products including documentaon.
This product is designed to meet the requirements of relevant EU direcves. To
maintain this status, all installaon, maintenance, and repair is to be done by qualied
personnel using only Nederman original spare parts and accessories. Contact the nearest
authorized distributor or Nederman for advice on technical service and obtaining spare
parts. If there are any damaged or missing parts when the product is delivered, nofy
the carrier and the local Nederman representave immediately.
This manual is supplemented by:
• PLC Sengs Manual for FlexPAK 800/1000 All Models.
2 Descripon
The Nederman Insight Communicaon Cabinet is an Insight system used together with
the FlexPak system. The gateway in the Communicaon Cabinet is connected to the
FlexPak control units. The gateway collects data from the control units and sends it to
Nederman Insight.
The customer can access the data by subscribing to Nederman Insight. This digital
subscipon service makes it possible to get feedback on the FlexPak units status
and prevent malfuncons. The feedback can help to opmize the system and unlock
potenal energy savings. The subscripon service also reminds when it is me for service
and/or maintenance of the FlexPak unit.
3 Safety
WARNING! Risk of electric shock.
• Always disconnect the main supply voltage before any electrical service.
• Installaon and dimensioning of power cable and choice of cable type has
to be done by an authorized electrician who can apply the local electricity
regulaons to the installaon.

5 Installaon
NOTE! Due to dierent phone systems on dierent markets, there are two models of
communicaon cabinets available. Contact your sales representave for support to choose
the right model.
5.1 Verify the signal strength
See gure 4 on page 8.
1. Use a regular cell phone and locate it in the place where you intend to place the
cabinet, or the place where you intend to place the antenna.
2. If the signal strength is weak, move around the phone and see if you can nd beer
signal strength in the area that the antenna cable reaches. The antenna cable is
approximately 4,5 m long, measured from the outside of the cabinet.
5.2 Place the cabinet
See gures 1, 2 and 3 on pages 6 and 7.
1. Place the cabinet on a wall close to FlexPak unit. The length of the supplied Patch
cable is 10 m. At least 2,5 m is needed inside the FlexPak cabinet.
2. Place the cabinet on a safe locaon where no forklis/vehicles or other acvies
may harm the cabinet.
3. Place the cabinet where there is a free space in front of the cabinet and at a proper
height where service personal can access it without using a ladder or other aids.
Recommended height is 1,5-1,7 m above oor, measured from the boom of the
cabinet.
4. Nederman recommend marking a safe zone on the oor around the cabinet where
no goods or other equipment are allowed to be placed.
5. The cabinet can be placed outdoors or indoors. To avoid accelerang ageing of the
cabinet, do not place it in direct sunlight and extreme heat. Protect the cabinet
from water droplets.
6. For outdoor placement, use a weather shelter to protect the cabinet from direct
sunlight, water, dust, and sand blasng.
7. Do not expose the cabinet for chemicals agency such as fumes or droplets,
including water jets.

6 Maintenance
No electrical maintenance is required. Cleaning the cabinet internally is not needed.
External cleaning of the cabinet is made annually or when it has become soiled.
1. Clean the transparent front with a gentle cleaning agent. Do not use acetone or
other strong detergents. Remove dust that has seled on the top of the cabinet.
2. Do not use the cabinet top as a deposit place for any tools or other equipment.
Keep the environment around the cabinet free from debris or other equipment.
7 Spare parts
Installaon, repair and maintenance work is to be carried out by qualied personnel
using only original Nederman spare parts. Contact your nearest authorized distributor
or Nederman for advice on technical service.
7.1 Ordering spare parts

When ordering spare parts always state the following:
• Part number and control number, see the product idencaon plate.
• Detail number and name of the spare part, see www.nederman.com.
• Quanty of the parts required.

8 Troubleshoong
If there are any other problems with the Nederman Insight data acquision system,
contact your local Nederman sales oce to get help from a service technician.
The gateway is password protected. It is not possible to change any sengs or access
any data from it without the password.
