Turning On the Display
RS Series Quick Start Guide
1. Press the Power button on the bottom left side of the display
2. The button will change color from red to blue once the display is powered on.
Connecting a Computer
1. Any devices currently connected to the display will light up in a white box
around the Source Preview window.
2. Tap the box of the Source you want to switch to.
3. The Source Preview window will show a preview of what is currently on
the screen of that connected device.
4. Tap the box of the Source a second time or tap the Preview window and
you will be taken to that source.
Switching Sources
1. You will need an HDMI cable and a USB cable to connect a computer.
2. Plug in one end of the HDMI cable into one of the HDMI ports either on the
front or side of the display.
3. Plug in one end of the USB cable into the matching touch port.
Please note: You must plug
the USB cable into a USB
touch port that matches the
HDMI port (if plugged into
HDMI 2, you must plug the
USB cable into Touch Port 2),
otherwise touch will not be
responsive.
4. Take the other end of the HDMI port and plug it into the HDMI port on
your computer.
5. Take the other end of the USB port and plug it into the USB port on your
computer.
Please note: These
can be plugged into
any HDMI or USB ports
on your computer.
The ports may also be
on opposite sides of a
laptop.
6. Once both cables have been plugged into the display and the computer, the
matching port should turn white on the Source Preview on the Home Screen.

Using the Home Page Shortcuts

Windows
Takes you to the on
board Windows PC if
there is one connected
to the display.
Whiteboard
Takes you to the built-in
whiteboard.
Add
Lets you customize and add icons
to the Home Page for easy access
to your favorite apps and sources.
Source Preview
Tap the name of a connected source,
and a preview of that source will
appear in the window.
Tap the preview in the middle of the
window and it will take you straight to
that source.
Quick Access Menu
On both sides of the display, there is a toolbar, known as the
Quick Access Menu. These icons can quickly access some of the
most important functions of the display.
Annotation Shortcut
Brings up built-in annotation options over what is currently on
the screen. Tap twice to save a screenshot.
Whiteboard Shortcut
Takes you to the built-in whiteboard, letting you draw and take
notes instantly.
Home Shortcut
Takes you to the home screen.
Back Shortcut
Goes back one screen or to the previous app or exit an app.
Sources Shortcut
Pulls up the sources menu, letting you easily switch between
available sources.
Screen Sharing
Takes you to the Newline
Cast wireless screen
sharing app.
Gadgets
Lists all of the available
gadgets and apps you can
access and use.
File Viewer
Lets you access and
preview your les on
local and cloud storage
systems.
Browser
Pulls up a web browser if
the display is connected
to the Internet.
End Session
Ends the session and takes you
back to the Start Screen.
