• Switching On of TTPRO BD: press and release the ON/OFF button. If it is connected to a
motor/control unit, it immediately displays the functions already programmed and those available.
• Switching Off of TTPRO BD: hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds until it beeps.
If not used, it switches off automatically after 1 minute.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED USE

The TTPRO BD programmer is a logical unit designed to simplify the installation, testing
and maintenance of Nice motors and control units. It is compatible with motors/control
units of the ERA/ERA INN series.
WARNING! - Any other use different from that described and in ambient condi-
tions different from those provided in this manual is to be considered improper
and prohibited!
TTPRO BD communicates with the motor/controller via the TTBUS (with its dedicated ca-
ble) or RADIO BD (if the motor/controller are enabled to do so). Nice’s new two-way radio
protocol enables communication in both directions between the transmitter and receiver,
as does the mesh network which can connect to any Nice automation within radio range.
Thetransmittersignalconrmsthatthecontrolhasbeenreceivedcorrectlyandallowsthe
position of the automation to be controlled at all times. Wireless technology makes even
initial programming simple and user-friendly.
TTPRO BD allows you to quickly and intuitively perform the procedures normally per-
formed with the transmitter. It acts directly on the motor/control unit, where the transmit-
ters and the operation parameters are stored.
Other functions are available:
- abilitytoreadthecongurationofamotor/controlunit(parametersand/ortransmitters)
andtotransferthecongurationtooneormoremotors/controlunits.
- abilitytocopyandtransferthecongurationofagroupofmotors,iftheseareconnected
to the control panel via TTBUS network or by RADIO BD.

WARNING!
- The motor/control unit should only be powered as described in the respective
instruction manual.
- TTPRO BD must be connected to a single motor/control unit. If you want to con-
nect multiple motors, it is necessary that each motor is associated with a differ-
ent address to those used by other motors. It is therefore essential that, before
you connect them all, you use TTPRO BD (connected in TTBUS mode with the
dedicated cable) to assign a unique address to each motor/controller.

Normally, TTPRO BD works with 2 rechargeable batteries, however, if necessary, it can also
be powered with the included USB cable.
To use TTPRO BD with the TTBUS connection to the motor/controller, you must use the
included cable with the correct polarity (g. 1):
- white-black cable (COMMON - 0 V) to be connected to the black wire of TTPRO BD
- white cable
(STEP-BY-STEP + TTBUS) to be connected to the white wire of TTPRO BD

GREEN and the level leds indicate the number of motors detected (1 to 8 with
dim leds), and the currently selected motor (the brightest led). Led Aashesto
indicate that the motors are connected over the TTBUS network.
3.3.2.B - TTPRO BD connected via RADIO BD
(for motors which support the protocol)

If TTPRO BD is connected via RADIO BD (for enabled motors) and a motor is de-

3.3.3 - Forced motor scan

for 1 second at the end of each scan.

3.5.2.B - Automatic programming of positions “0” and “1”
In some motors for roller shutters, with electronic limit switches, there is a procedure that
automatically detects positions “0” and “1”. If this feature is available, after TTPRO BD
switches on the LED on the button AUTO ashes.
To perform this procedure there must be present on the application the caps on ascent
and/or burglar springs on descent. For more details refer to the motor instructions.

Note: at the end of this programming verify if the transmitter Ascent button commands
opening of the roller shutter (or the ascent of the awning), and the Descent button com-
mands the closing of the roller shutter (or the descent of the awning). If the direction is
not the desired one, repeat this procedure to programme the other direction.
3.5.2 - PROGRAMMING OF POSITIONS
Motors with electronic limit switches have functions to programme the positions: “0”
(rolling shutter or awning all rolled up), “1” (rolling shutter or awning all unrolled) and “I”
(rolling shutter or awning in an intermediate position). If a position is already stored, the
correspondingLEDwillbelit,otherwiseashortashindicatesthatthepositionhasnot
been programmed.
In the menu used to program the positions “0”, “1” and “I”, you can move the motor in
“hold-to-run”mode,thusenablingneadjustmentofthesetposition.Thisadjustmentis
limited by the limit positions (upper limit for the upper limit switch and lower limit for the
lower limit switch). If you need to move beyond these positions, you must cancel the limit
positions and memorise them anew.
3.5.2.A - Manual programming of positions “0”, “1” and “I”
The positions must be stored in the following order: “0”, “1” and “I”.

3.7.2 - ENABLING/DISABLING OF CLIMATIC SENSORS
This button allows you to enable/disable the intervention of the SUN and RAIN sensors.
If the function is active, the corresponding LED will be lit, otherwise off.

3.8 - Insights
3.8.1 - RADIO TEST FUNCTION
This feature allows for verifying the environmental RF noise level.

TEST : on the level LEDs a value appears that represents the
intensity of the ambient signal / RF noise, at 433.92 MHz. (Displays the current
value with the brightest leds; the maximum peak is displayed with the dim leds,
at intervals of 5 seconds).
3.8.2 - DELETING THE PARAMETERS FROM THE MOTOR
This procedure clears all the parameters in the motor memory and restores the factory
settings.

Using various buttons, you can read the parameters and the transmitters stored in the
motor and then save them in the TTPRO BD memory. Subsequently, this data can be
transferred to other motors of the same type.
