Welcome
7
Welcome
Congratulations on your purchase of the Nokia 7088 mobile device.
Your device provides many functions practical for daily use, such as a
hands-free loudspeaker, alarm clock, calculator, calendar, and more. To
personalize your device, you can set your favorite ring tones.
■About your device
The wireless device described in this guide is approved for use on the
CDMA 800 networks. Contact your service provider for more
information about networks.
When using the features in this device, obey all laws and respect local
customs, privacy and legitimate rights of others, including copyrights.
Copyright protections may prevent some images, music (including
ringing tones), and other content from being copied, modified,
transferred, or forwarded.
Keep your device away from magnets or magnetic fields as they may
cause some applications, such as the camera, to activate unexpectedly.
Warning: To use any features in this device, the device must be
switched on. Do not switch the device on when wireless device
use may cause interference or danger.
■Network Services
To use the phone you must have service from a wireless service provider.
Many of the features require special network features. These features
are not available on all networks; other networks may require that you
make specific arrangements with your service provider before you can
use the network services. Your service provider can give you instructions
and explain what charges will apply. Some networks may have
limitations that affect how you can use network services. For instance,
some networks may not support all language-dependent characters and
services.

code can be 4–8 digits in length. After three successive incorrect entries,
the PIN code is blocked. You need to enter the personal unblocking key
(PUK) code. See "Personal unblocking key (PUK) code" p. 70.
