1. Allgemeine Information / General Information
Dieses Service Manual beschreibt die technischen Sicherheitstest, Diagnose und Reparatur von
TCM Endo R11.
Technische Sicherheitschecks und Reparaturen dürfen nur durch Personen welche auf Grund
Ihrer Ausbildung, Kenntnisse und praktische Erfahrung haben ausgeführt werden.
Nur so kann davon ausgegangen werden, dass die Sicherheit für den Betrieb des medizinischen
Gerätes weiterhin gewährleistet wird.
Bitte bringen Sie dazu das Gerät in einen autorisierten Reparaturdienst zurück, welcher vom
Hersteller regelmässig nach IEC 60601-1/ EN 60601-1 überprüft wird.
Es wird zudem ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, dass der Hersteller keine Haftung übernimmt,
durch unsachgemässe oder nicht autorisierten Reparaturen / Änderungen an dem Gerät,
welche eventuell sogar zu Schäden an Patienten führen.
In einem solchem Fall würde natürlich auch die Garantie erlöschen.

This service manual describes how to perform technical safety testing, diagnose and repair
TCM Endo R11.
Technical safety checks and repairs may only be carried out by people who have knowledge and
practical experience as a result of their training.
This is the only way to ensure continued safety in operating the medical device.
Please return the unit for repair to an authorized service centre which is regularly inspected by
the manufacturer in accordance with IEC 60601-1/ EN 60601-1.
It should be noted that the manufacturer accepts no liability for any harm or injury which
patients may incur due to improper or unauthorized repairs/changes to the device. The
warranty would, of course, also be void in such a case.

3. Funktions Test / Function test
Netzkabel, Pedal und Motor einstecken
Den Schalter an der Rückseite auf Position I (Ein) drücken,Display leuchtet
auf und zeigt folgendes an:
Beim drücken der Tasten ist jeweils ein kurzer Signalton zu hören und die Werte
ändern sich direkt.
Der Motor wird durch betätigen des Pedals aktiviert
Wird per Taste auf „L“ Linkslauf gestellt ist durchgehend ein
Signalton zu hören Drehrichtung des Motors kontrollieren
Test des Drehmoments
Folgender Wert einstellen:
Motor starten
Instrument belasten
Instrument stoppt, dreht zweimal retour und danach wieder vorwärts
Mit Taste „Torque “ auf 40 Nmm stellen
Instrument belasten, es braucht mehr Kraft als bei 20Nmm
Instrument stoppt, dreht zweimal retour und danach wieder vorwärts
Pedal loslassen
Funktioniert das Gerät nicht, so schlagen Sie bitte im
Kapitel 8 Fehler Analyse nach

Function test
Connect to the unit: Handpiece, foot pedal and power cable
Push the switch on the backside to position I (On), the display shine up
with this information:
If we push one of the keys we can hear a signal tone and the value change direct.
The motor running so long as we push the pedal.
If we push on button “L” counter-clockwise we can hear
continuous a signal tone check the direction from the motor
Test from the torque
Enter following value:
Start the motor
Burden the instrument
The instrument stop and turn two times back and afterwards again clockwise
With key „Torque “ change the value to 40Nmm
Burden the instrument and you feel that he need more power then with 20Nmm
The instrument stop and turn two times back
Disburden the pedal
If the unit does not work, please refer to and afterwards again clockwise

7. Demontage / Dismantling contra angle Art.1683
Um das Kugellager auszuwechseln:
Die drei Schrauben 17225 rausdrehen
Expansionsdorn 29547 in Kupplungsbüchse 17845 verklemmen damit diese rausgezogen
werden kann.
Die beiden Zylinderschrauben 20095 rausdrehen. Kupplungsbüchse 17235 und
Distanzbüchse 17244 abziehen.
Stift 20138 rausschlagen und der Reihe nach Zahnrad 39060, Antriebslager 17216 und
Kugellager 20124 abziehen.
For replace the ball bearing:
Turn out the three screw 17225
Jam the expansion mandrel in the gear box 17845, this way you can easy drag out him.
Now, turn out both screw 20095 so that you can coupling bushing 17235 and spacer
bushing remove
Sprout out Pin 20138 and in sequence remove: toothed wheel 17235, drive end bearing
17216, ball bearing 20124
Um Teile im Druckknopf auszutauschen:
Klemmwerkzeug 31208 am Gewindering 17156 fixieren um dieses zu öffnen.
Die weiteren Teile können nun einfach wie gehabt ausgetauscht werden.

Der Print
Unsere Erfahrungswerte zeigen, dass der Print am häufigsten von einem Defekt betroffen ist.
Dieser ist genauestens zu überprüfen wobei auch leicht an grösseren Bauteilen gedrückt werden darf.

Mittels zwei Fahrradschläuchen als Gripp
kann der Motor leicht von Hand geöffnet
werden.

With two parts from a old bicycle tube we
have enough grip to open the motor by hand.
Anzeige
Die Helligkeit der Anzeige kann nicht über das Menu angepasst werden. Sollte die Schrift nur noch schwach
ersichtlich sein muss die Anzeige komplett ausgetauscht werden. Dazu werden vorsichtig die vier schwarzen
Sechskantmuttern gelöst. Die Anzeige selbst ist aufgeklipst.
Display
The display brightness is not possible to adjust over the menu. So is the writing not clear readably we must
exchange the display complete. Here for we open careful four black plastic nuts. The display self is only clipped on
the board.

11. STK / Electrical safety test for TCM Endo R11
Der elektronische Sicherheitstest (STK) muss bei jedem öffnen des Gehäuses sowie alle zwei Jahre seit
dem letzten ausgeführt werden.
Kontrolliere die Aufzeichnungen.
Die Inspektion und Messablauf folgt nach der Norm EN / IEC 60601-1
Kontrollpunkt: Philips Schraube auf der Unterseite des Gerätes.
Vorsicht! Das Gerät ist in Schutzklasse II eingestuft. Allerdings sollte das Gerät nicht verbunden
sein zu einem anderen Messpunkt. Der Erdungstest würde sonst durchfallen.
Sollten Unsicherheiten bestehen, bitte kontaktiere Nouvag’s technischen Support in Goldach.
1. Drücke den Power Schalter beim Testgerät auf aus
2. Stecke das Stromkabel zum Gerät ganz aus
3. Verbinde den Motor mit dem Gerät
4. Stecke nun das Stromkabel am Elektrischen Sicherheitstestgerät an
5. Führe den Test aus nach der Anleitung im Benutzerhandbuch und den örtlichen Bestimmungen
6. Wenn der Test erfolgreich durchlaufen ist, legen ihn mit dem Datum des nächstem Service dem
Gerät bei
7. Sollte der Test durchfallen, Repariere das Gerät nicht selber sondern kontaktieren Deinen
Verkäufer oder das nächste Nouvag Service Center. kennzeichne das Gerät dementsprechend.
Vorsicht! Benütze dieses Gerät nicht weiter, falls es im Test durchgefallen ist oder Funktionen nicht
gehen
Vorsicht! Führe den STK nicht aus, wenn Fehlfunktionen oder Messungen sich vorher bemerkbar
machen.
Electrical safety test for TCM Endo R11
The electrical safety test has to be done after every opening of the housing and every 2 years. Control
the badge.
The inspection and measuring procedures relate to the test in accordance with
EN / IEC 60601-1.
Check point: Philips screw on the bottom side of the device.
CAUTION! The device is rated protective class II. However the PE is not connected to any
measuring point outside the device. The measurement PE against the check point will fail (no current).
This is the correct test result!
If uncertainties about this topic exists please contact the Nouvag service center.
1. Power switch OFF.
2. Device disconnected from power.
3. Motor must be connected to the LipoPlus device.
4. Power cord connected to LipoPlus device.
5. Power cord connected to the test jack safety test.
6. Perform safety test according the instructions in the user manual of the safety test
equipment and the local requirements.
7. If the test is passed: Attach test badge with date of next service to the device.
8. If the test is failed. Do not try to repair the device by yourself! Get in contact with
your supplier or an authorized Nouvag service centre. Label the device accordingly.
CAUTION! Do not use this product if the specified measurement values or functions are not
fulfilled.
