Fit the adjustable height castors to the main chassis
by sliding the tube inside the chassis frame, to the
desired height and secure using an ‘e-clip’.
Please Note: the height should be set such that the
user feels comfortable but also allows for adequate
clearance if being used over a toilet.
Always ensure all four castors are set at equal
height.

General Safety Warning
Please ensure these instructions are fully read and
implemented. Failure to do so may result in injury.
Retain these instructions in a safe place for future
reference.
1.0 Intended Use
The Wheeled Commode range is designed for use
as a commode or over a standard toilet. Subject to
completion of a suitable risk assessment it can be
used for short transfers to move the user over the
toilet. It features removable arms to enable side
transfers.
2.0 Safety Precautions
Always perform a risk assessment prior to use,
including safe moving distance.
Do not exceed the maximum user weight of the
product, see table above for details.
Do not use as an alternative to a wheelchair.
Do not use in a shower or as a shower chair.
Do not use the product outdoors. Only use on
indoor level surfaces and take care over door
thresholds.
Always engage the brakes and swing away or lift
off the footrests when the user is transferring onto
or off the commode.
Take care to ensure all body parts are inside the
perimeter of the commode when passing through
doorways.
3.0 Unpacking
Remove packaging and check all parts carefully. If
any parts appear damaged do not assemble and
contact your supplier immediately. See Table 1 for
contents list.

Wash out any residue with a disinfectant solution
and rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
Refit the potty to the commode, see section 4.2.
6.2 Commode Chair & Frame
Thoroughly wash the commode after each use using
a general purpose neutral detergent and warm
water.
To disinfect, in particular the seat, wipe with a dilute
bleach solution and rinse thoroughly with fresh
water.
Please check the suitability of the cleaning product
before use. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cloths
as this will permanently damage the surface and
invalidate any warranty.
7.0 Maintenance
Inspect the product regularly for signs of wear or
damage. Pay particular attention to the upholstery.
Any suspected faults or damage should immediately
be reported to the supplier and the product taken out
of use.
Periodically spray a water dispersing agent (e.g.
WD40) onto all joints and castors.
Check that all components are correctly fitted and
secure. If necessary tighten the nuts, screws and
hand wheels.
Check the castors are free to rotate, remove any
build-up of dirt/debris.
Frequently check the brakes are operational and
there are no signs of wear.
Store the commode on a flat surface, with the brakes
locked, out of reach of children.
8.0 Product Guarantee
NRS Healthcare guarantee this product for a period
of 12 months against faulty materials and
workmanship. This guarantee does not cover; abuse
misuse, interference or tampering with any part of
the product.
Any guarantee issued by NRS Healthcare does not
affect your statutory rights.
4.2 All Models
Attach the arms by slotting the tube inside the main
chassis frame on either side of the seat moulding.
Attach the backrest by slotting the tube inside the
main chassis frame and secure in position by
inserting and tightening the hand wheels.
Do not over tighten the hand wheels. Turn until you
feel resistance and the screw thread is biting against
the leg of the backrest. Do not use tools.
Attach the footrests to the main chassis frame by
fitting over the two studs on either side of the main
chassis frame. The footrest will stick out to the side.
Gently push to rotate the footrest to the front of the
commode and secure in position by closing the lever
shut.
Fit the potty by sliding it onto the metal runners at the
rear of the commode and pushing it forwards.
Place the seat pad over the moulded seat.
5.0 Footrest Height Adjustment
Detach each footrest from the commode by pulling
the lever to allow the footrest to swing out sideways.
Lift the footrest up and off the two studs and turn
upside down.
Use the spanner provided to loosen the locking nut
on the end of the tube.
Slide the inner tube to the desired height.
Use the spanner to re-tighten the nut and secure the
position.
Re-fit the footrest to the commode, see section 4.2.
6.0 Cleaning

decontamination of the potty and commode. Please

6.1 Commode Potty
Remove the commode potty by carefully sliding it
along the metal runners at the rear of the commode.
Place the lid over the potty to prevent spillages and
splashing.
Dispose of the contents into a proper sluice or toilet.
WARNING! Never empty the contents into an open
drain, sink or basin as this could cause a severe
health risk.
