The NuWave® Medley XL Digital Skillet features the technologically advanced Duralon®
Blue Ceramic Non-Stick Coating. This coating is extremely convenient because food easily
slides off. Cleanup is simple because the ceramic surface easily washes clean.
Unlike other traditional skillets, cooking with NuWave® Medley XL Digital Skillet is healthier
because unwanted fats and oils are not necessary. Ceramic coating, in general, is stronger
and more resistant to abrasions than other non-stick materials that may contain chemicals
such as peruorooctanoic acid (“PFOA”), which has been linked to certain types of cancer,
or polytetrauoroethylene (“PTFE”), which may start to degrade at temperatures over
500°F. Our NuWave® Duralon® Blue Ceramic Non-Stick Coating does not contain either
and has been developed to provide many years of satisfaction and enjoyable cooking!

Before First Use
1. Read all safeguards and instructions in the manual
2. Remove all packaging materials, labels, and stickers.
3. Clean all non-electrical parts with hot soapy water.
4. Wipe the Digital Temperature Control with a damp cloth. Can see "Care and Mainte-

ASSEMBLY GUIDE
If using oil, do not exceed the oil’s smoke
point.
The smoke point of oil is the temperature
at which it begins to break down to glycerol
and free fatty acids, producing bluish
smoke. The smoke point also signies
the beginning of avor and nutritional
degradation.
Smoke points can vary dependent upon
many different factors. Consult the list of
common oil types (right) and their median
smoke point. Always practice caution when
cooking with oil.
Smoke Point
The NuWave Culinary Team recommends
the use of high-heat-rated, silicone-based
tools for cooking foods. Do not use metal
utensils while cooking. Never attempt to
cut foods while they are in the skillet. Any
misuse of the coating will void the warranty;
refer to the Limited Warranty.
Recommended Heating
Your NuWave Duralon® Blue Ceramic Non-
Stick Coating can handle high heat. It has
been tested at temperatures up to 900ºF,
coming out unscathed.
However, long-term or repeated exposure to
such heat can cause food to scorch, burn,
or discolor the skillet and potentially damage
the coating. You may sear foods in your
skillet at high heat for short periods of time
but note that keeping the temperature down
to 450°F or below will increase the useful
life of the ceramic coating from 30%–50%.
For best results, allow skillet to heat
between 280ºF~300ºF for up to 1 minute
before inserting and cooking foods. Avoid
preheating empty skillet above 300º F.
