1. Safety / functional description / assembly
1.1. Safety instructions
Connection: ATTENTION! Before accessing the terminals, all power circuits
PXVWEHVZLWFKHGR΍
• The connection must be provided by the customer with a disconnecting device
that has a contact opening width in accordance with the overvoltage category III
full disconnection conditions.
• Lead the connecting cables through the cable grommets.
• For ease of wiring, the left part of the connector is removable. The terminal as-
signment is printed on the terminal cover.
• Connection acc. according to the wiring diagram (Fig. 1 - 5).
• When reassembling the connector, make sure it clicks securely.
• Replace the terminal cover.
• Mains connection and access to the service area may only be carried out by qua-
OLȴHGSHUVRQQHO
Note: Only use the supplied plastic screw to attach the terminal cover.
ATTENTION!
This device may be used by children 8 years old and above and by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and know-
ledge, if they have been supervised or instructed in the safe use of the device and
understand the resulting hazards. Children are not allowed to play with the device.
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervi-
sion.

Security Alert:
In order to avoid personal injury and damage to property, it must be ensured that
no water can penetrate before opening the device (for example, for coin clearing).
Safety extra-low voltage (option „L“)
When operating in wet areas, the connection with safety extra-low voltage 24 V is
recommended. For this purpose a 24 V AC voltage should be fed into the wet area.
Transformers 230V / 24V 100 VA for up to 4 ZMZ controllers are available ex works.
For on-site use, a safety transformer must be provided.

2.1 Settings
The ZMZ 0205 is equiped with a 1-digit LED to
display the number of inserted coins or remai-
ning time. Up to two coins can be insered into
the device at once.
Additional coins do not lengthen the
remaining time.
Afreshing of time can only occur after the termi-
nation of time. Time base can be switched from
HH:MM to MM:SS.

The ZMZ device family is used to bill various electrical consumers. Payment is made
by coins or tokens. The coin counter can be adjusted by the customer. You can set
the release time and the number of coins. After inserting the coins, the number of
coins entered appears on the display. At the same time the main relay switches on.

1.2.1. Improper use
The product is not suitable for use in the food industry. The maximum switching
capacities or permissible currents of the respective relays / contactors must not be
exceeded. The switching of safety-critical consumers is not permitted.

Notice
To secure the activation of basic-settings and time-settings, it is essentisal to cut the

a break. The combination of digits indicates the installed software. The permanent
display of the digit „0“ indicates the ready-status.
2.2 time setting
To set the running time, the imprinted values of DIP-switches set to „on“ position has
to be added.
E.G. Upper-DIP-switch
switch 1, 3 and 4 set to „on“
The result of addition of imprinted values is 13
In addiction of basic setting, the running time is set to 13 minutes or 13 seconds.
Lower-DIP-switch
switch 2 and 5 set to „on“
The result of addition of imprinted values is 18
In addition with the values of the upper-DIP-switch the total running time is 18 minu-
tes and 13 seconds or 18 hours and 13 minutes.
2.3 Display

4.1 Settings
For all settings the four buttons on side-
cut-out of terminal cover are used. Press
button „Betrieb“ before and after every
change of settings. „Außer Betrieb“ is

4.2 Setting of running time
Within the menu „Zeit“ the cursor (underscore) can be scrolled to the position by
multiple pushing the button „Auswahl“.
Push the button „Ändern“ to set the value of basic time in HH : MM : SS.
Push the button „Betrieb“ to return to operation mode or „Menü“ for next setting.
4.3 Number of coins
Calling up the menu „Münzen“ set the number of coins needed to start the device by
pushing the „Ändern“ button. Refer to 4.2 for further settings.

5.1 Lag time (Option “Q2“)
Set the lag-time of the second relay within the menu „Nachlauf“ as mentioned above.
Function is deactivated by setting value to „0“.
Notice
The lag-relay only needs to be operated with the identical voltage as the main relay
on circuit board. (Also valid for option „C2“)
5.2 Advance time (Option “Q1“)
Set advance-time within the menu „Vorlauf“ as mentioned above.
Function is deactivated by setting value to „0“.
5.3 External start / external stop (Option “S“)
7KHIXQFWLRQVFDQEHVZLWVFKHGRQRUR΍E\SXVKLQJWKHȌQGHUQȊEXWWRQZLWKLQWKH
menu „ext. Start“ or „ext. Stop“. The device is equiped with plug-in for an external
switch on the upper terminal cover if these options are installed. Keep in mind to use
a shielded control cable of max. 3m length to connect the switch.
5.4 Door unlock (Option „M“)
To unlock electrical doors of washing machines without insertion of a coin, the device
can be equiped with an additional button. After the basic time passed out, the power
can be switched on again for one minute by pushing the button to open the door.
„Taste/Münze“ is diplayed while activated.
5.5 6-digit coin register (Option „A“)
Push button „Betrieb“ and „Auswahl“ to read out the number of inserted coins.
Mz number quantity of inserted coins since last reset,

(not resetable)

5.6 Elapsed time meter (Option „V“)
If the device is equipped with option „V“ go ahead like described under 5.5. In additi-

FSZ Activation time in hours since last reset
GFSZ Total activation time since start of operation (not resetable)
Alarm message
In case of jammed coin caused by a cramped cash box „Fehler“ is
displayed. Reset the device by pushing the „Betrieb“ button longer.

5.7 Multiple coin validator (Option „O“)
Option „O“ is an electronical coin validator programmed for standard Euro coins
(0,10; 0,20; 0,50; 1,00; 2,00 €) and tokens. The insertable Euro amount can be set in
menu „Münzen“ as mentioned in 4.2. (The tokens are available under item no. 2020
for WMA).

The devices are maintenance-free. Only the coin slot should be cleaned with a brush
