Leave adequate space around the photocopier
•Leave at least 10 cm between the photocopier and the wall to permit sufficient ventilation. Leave enough space
on either side of the machine so that it can be operated with ease.

!Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the structure of the photocopier. There are some areas inside the
photocopierwhicharesubjecttohighvoltagesandtemperatures.Donotperformanyoperationnot specified
in this instruction manual.
•Do not pour liquids of any kind onto or into the photocopier, nor let foreign objects (e.g. paper clips) fall into it.
Shoulda foreignobjectorliquidcome intocontact witha highvoltagearea insidethe photocopier,it couldcause
a shortcircuit and set fire to the equipment.
•If the photocopier does not work normally, see the «Messages» section (☞p. 26). Should you notice an
unusual noise, smoke or anything else that causes concern, switch the machine off immediately, unplug the
power cable and call your nearest OLIVETTI service centre.
•Do not use inflammable spray products, such as adhesive sprays, near the photocopier.
•Do not switch the machine off or open it while copying is in progress as this may cause the paper to jam.
•If the photocopier is to be left idle for a long period of time, e.g. at night, switch it off.
•The photocopier is equipped with anticondensation and warm-up fans: even if the glass platen or the machine
body is warm when the photocopier is switched off, this is not a sign of malfunctioning.
