Notes on Shooting
• Edges
of
pictures may be cut off if more than
one filter is used
or
if
a thick filter is used.
• When using a flash, flash light may be blocked
by the lens body, lens hood, etc.
• The focus distance
may
change when the
focusing method
is
switched from
MF
to
AF/MF
and
then back to
MF.
Readjust the focus distance.
• The distance indicator
is
intended as a guide only.
• Usage conditions may lower the number
of
images that can be captured.

Warranty period : 1 year {main unit only)
Provision of warranty
1. 11t his product has p-roven to be defective although it has been used properly(in Accordance with Hand li og Care and ot h er sections in the Instructions ), repair will
be carried out without charge f Of a period of up to one year from the date of pu r chase .
Take the camera and warranty to the dealer where the product
was purchased or an Olympus authorized service station on the attached li st, and request the
necessary repair
2. Costs incurred when transporting the product to th e dealef or Olympus authorized service station are to be born to the customer. Ifyou return this product for
repair or replacement. please use a commercial package carrier
or registered mail to ensure that you have a record of shipment. Make sure the product to the
deal8f is property packed before the dealer to Olympus servicing facilities. may be at least partly the customer's responsibility, depending on the transport method
used.
3. Even within the warranty period, the following situations will require the customer to pay repair charges.
(a) Any defect or damage that occurs
due to misunderstanding (such as an operation periOillled !ha lls not mentioned in the Handling Care or other sections of
the Instructions, etc.)
(b) Any defect or damage that occurs due to repair, modification, cleaning, etc. performed by anyone other than Olympus or an Olympus authorized service
station
(c) Any defect
or damage that occurs due to transport. a fall. shoc k. etc. after p.Jrchase of the product
(d) Any defect
or damage that occurs due to use memory card which has not been checked and approved by OLYMPUS
(e) Any defect
or damage that occurs due to lire, earthquake, flood damage , thunderbo~ . other natural disasters and environmental pollu:ion
{f) Any defect or damage that occurs due to careless or improper storage (such as keeping the product under conditions If high temperature and humidity, near
insectrepellentss uchasn aphthal eneorharmfuldrugs ,elc.), lmpropermalntenance,elc.
(g) Any defect
or damage that occurs due to sand, mud, etc. entering the insideof the product casing

Whenlhiswarrantyisnotappended
(i) When any alterations are made on the warranty rega rd ing the year. month and date of purchase, the dealer's name, the se ri al number, etc.
4. This warranty does not cover any accessories (case, strap, lens cap. etc.) or consumables (batteries. etc). This warranty covers only the product and the battery
chargefw hich is induded .
5. Olympus is not liable for incidental or consequential damages due 10 defect of the product. (As examples, for loss of revenues or profits, expense, etc.)

1. This warranty promises repair without charge to lt1e customer under provisions mentioned above: it is not meant to limit any rightful cus tom er claims.

Regarding service after purchase
1. A receipt will be issued by Olympus for the repair made to the product. Make sure the receipt is in order when the repaired producl
2. Call any Olympus authonzed service sta1ion listed in this warranty for repairs and service after the wa rranty period expires.
