personnel that are n the v c n ty of the mach ne or w th n the work ng area of
the same.
Always rema n at the safe d stance and carefully watch over the mov ng parts
of the mach ne.
It s essent al that the protect on or safety adv ce prov ded s followed. Fa lure
to respect these regulat ons may lead to death or ser ous njury.
Do not overest mate your sk lls n dec d ng to gnore the nstruct ons relat ve to
the personal safety of the operator and the accompany ng personnel.
In most cases th s mach ne s appl ed to the rear of the tractor; th s may cause
the tractor to swerve w th a r sk of t lt ng. Pos t on add t onal we ghts on the
fore carr age of the tractor to ensure ts eff c ent funct on and to avo d the r sk
of personal njury. Always dr ve at a moderate speed, part cularly n the
presence of rregular surfaces, to avo d los ng ones balance that may cause a
personal r sk. On bends, pay part cular attent on to the mach ne mass that may
sh ft n relat on to the tractor ax s.
Use the haulm shredder w th the tractor protected w th guard elements aga nst
the r sk of overturn ng. Always use homologated safety belts. Fa lure to comply
w th these regulat ons may cause ser ous njury or death. In any event only use
the mach ne w th all the safety dev ces n order.
Ensure that the PTO guards are pos t oned and undertake to replace n the
event of damage.
Never transport the mach ne w th rotor n mot on, even for small d stances.
The haulm shredder/prun ng shredder can, under certa n c rcumstances, launch
shredded mater al or superf c al so l object for long d stance, thereby creat ng a
r sk of ser ous njury or death to anyone w th n the launch rad us of the
mach ne.
Carefully follow the precaut ons:
stop the cutt ng operat on should there by anyone w th n a v c n ty of at least
100 metres from the mach ne;
Unless:
•
Guards, or cover ngs n good cond t on are mounted
•
The persons are outs de the probable mater al launch area
•
All the surface have been nspected and all the fore gn bod es have
been prev ously select6ed and removed.

9
N.B. when the he ght of the vegetat on mpedes the v s b l ty of any fore gn
bod es, t s necessary to undertake prel m nary cutt ng at an ntermed ate
he ght and then proceed to nspect the ground and remove any eventual fore gn

•
Make sure that the PTO shaft jo nt s correctly mounted both on the
tractor PTO and on the mach ne shaft.

Ensure that the guards are n perfect order an that they can move
freely and that the f xture cha ns are not under stress when the
mach ne s fully ra sed or lowered.

Check that n cont nuous work ng pos t on, that the PTO shaft angle
does not exceed 20° n relat on to the al gnment of the tractor PTO.
•
Make sure that the PTO shaft jo nt does not touch the tractor PTO
guard, the shaft guard or the dr ve un t or other mach ne parts.

The operator and any accompany ng personnel must, dur ng the per od of use,
ma ntenance, repa r, dr v ng or storage of the mach ne wear safety shoes,
gloves and safety helmets as well as goggles to protect aga nst fall ng or thrown
objects ar s ng from the mach ne funct on. The cloth ng worn by the operator or
the accompany ng personnel, must be as t ght f tt ng as poss ble.
Never wear loose or flapp ng cloth ng.
Never allow the mach ne to be used by non-exper enced or untra ned personnel,
unless accompan ed. All the mach ne use operat ons must be understand slowly
n order to avo d any carelessness that may cause danger s tuat ons.
F rstly, carefully read and understand the present nstruct on manual. Should
any paragraphs be unclear do not hes tate to mmed ately contact your dealer
or the OMARV SRL Sales serv ce.
Before beg nn ng the cutt ng operat ons, fam l ar ze yourself w th the mach ne

10
Always use the mach ne at he recommended PTO speed. Never exceed the
recommended speed (540 or 1000 rpm).
Take great care n cutt ng n the v c n ty of mob le objects. They must be
removed or avo ded n order to avo d r sk of them be ng thrown up.
The rotat ng parts of the mach ne have been subjected to laboratory tr als,
desp te th s the parts may be effected by mpact w th h ghly res stant objects or
those launched a long way at a h gh speed.
Avo d contact of the cutter w th large obstacles.
Do not attempts to cl mb onto the tractor or the mach ne when they are n
mot on. Avo d contact w th the tyres when they are n rotat on, wh ch may
cause the r sk of ser ous njury or death. Only cl mb on or off the tractor when t
s at a complete standst ll w th the gn t on key removed.
Never cl mb onto the mach ne under any c rcumstances.
Do not use the mach ne n the event of o l leakage: t may prove dangerous.
Never search for the leak w th bare hands, always use safety gloves, a p ece of
fabr c or a p ece of cardboard. O l under pressure may penetrate under the sk n

Should th s happen mmed ately seek the a d of spec al zed doctor.
Carefully read and follow the manufacturer’s nstruct ons when handl ng o l,
solvents detergents or chem cal substances.
Always make sure that the adhes ve st ckers w th the safety adv ce are n good

request news one from the Spare serv ce or d rect from the dealer.
The equ pment has been des gned and conce ved for safety and also ncludes
safety precaut ons and s gns, however r sk control and acc dent prevent on also
depends on the awareness and care and tra n ng of the personnel nvolved n
