Option Output ("Trunk Release") and Additional Output
Your Model One vehicle security system can have up to two additional outputs
whichofferadditional convenience features.Thefirstoftheseoutputs,the "Option
Output",isstandardwiththeUltraOneandisprogrammedtodisarmthesystemwhen
itisutilized. ThemostcommonusefortheOptionOutputisremotely-activatedtrunk
release.This output isactivatedby pressing andholdingthe transmitter's OPTION
buttonfortwoseconds,exceptwhentheignitionswitchis"on". However,thisoutput
maybeoperatedwhentheignitionswitchis"on"ifthevehiclehasadooropened. The
Option Output is also operable while the system is in Valet Mode.
IftheOPTION button ispressedfor2secondsandthen released, theoutputwill
bemomentary. IftheOPTIONbuttonishelddepressed,theoutputwillremainforas
long as the button is held, for up to 15 seconds. The extended output operation is
usefulforcustomapplications.
ThefurtherAdditionalOutputisactivatedbypressingandholdingthetransmitter's
LOCK button for 2 seconds. Of course, the system will arm as soon as the LOCK
buttonispressed.Thisoutputcanalsobeactivatedforupto15seconds,aslongas
the transmitter's LOCK button is held. This output is ideal for an optional remote
startingunit. Ifdesired,theAdditionalOutputcanbeoperatedbythePANICbutton;
thisisaprogrammable feature, and explainedonpage39.
