3. Press the CH ^ key once per second until the
TV turns off.
4. When the TV turns off, press ON/OFF key.
If the TV turns on:
press MUTE to save the TV code.
If the TV does not turn on:
press CH v to go to the previous TV code and
press MUTE to save once the TV turns on.
NOTE: There are over 200 possible codes, so
the code search may take a few minutes.
Reprogramming Favorite Channel Keys
The Kid’s Remote comes pre-programmed with 8
DIRECTV kids channels assigned to the logo keys.
The pre-programmed keys can be programmed
to new channels by following the steps below.
CAUTION: This will program over the channel
that was pre-programmed at the factory.
To program a favorite channel:
1. While in Programming mode, press and hold
the key that you wishto assign a favorite
channel. The LED blinks twice. Releasethe key.
2. Press the digits for the channel number for
the favorite channel that you wish to add.
3. Press and hold the key that you wish to
assign again until the LED blinks twice.
4. Repeat steps above to assign another favorite
channel.
If the LED flashes one long blink, the entry
failed and must be repeated.
Note: The Kid’s Remote package comes with
stickers you can use to place over any keys you’ve
reprogrammed. Label the sticker first; then peel
it off the sheet and place it on top of the key.
Changing Power Control Settings
The ON/OFF key has a default setting to control
power on both the DIRECTV receiver (or cable
box if reprogrammed) and TV each time it is
pressed. To change this power control setting:
1. In CHILD or ADULT mode, hold down both
MUTE and ON/OFF for three seconds, until
the LED blinks twice.
2. Enter 9 9 5. The LED blinks twice.
3. Press ON/OFF.
4. Decide what you want the ON/OFF key to
turn on and off and in what order. Then press
the correct key from the following chart.

5. Press and hold MUTE until the LED blinks twice.

Cómo Cambiar los Ajustes para el Control
de la Potencia
La tecla ON/OFF ha sido configurada para controlar
la potencia tanto del receptor DIRECTV (o aparato de
cable si fue preprogramado) como del televisor cada vez
que se oprime. Para cambiar este ajuste para el control
de la potencia:
1. En el modo CHILD (Niño) o ADULT (Adulto), oprima
simultáneamente las teclas MUTE y ON/OFF durante
tres segundos, hasta que el LED parpadee dos veces.
2. Ingrese 9 9 5. El LED parpadea dos veces.
3. Oprima la tecla ON/OFF.
4. Decida lo que desea que la tecla ON/OFF encienda
y apague y en qué orden. Luego oprima la tecla
correcta del siguiente cuadro.
La tecla ON/OFF encienda/apaga... ...oprima:
el receptor de satélite y televisor
(receptor de satélite primero)

5. Oprima y sostenga la tecla MUTE hasta que el
