Description: Expert Line L2 Managed 24-port 10/100/1000Base-TX (PoE+) + 4-port
10/100/1000Base-TX or 100/1000Base-FX SFP Combo Ethernet Switch
Overview: IES24242MPp-S is a new generation, managed, industrial grade, L2 Gigabit PoE (Power
over Ethernet) switch that provides 24x10/100/1000Base-TX RJ45 ports plus
4x100/1000Base-FX SFP ports with 8xPoE ports (optional). It provides stable and
reliable Ethernet transmission with high quality design and reliability.

Installation
The installation of 19-inch standard rack is designed according to the size of 19 inch standard rack. It
can be easily installed on the rack. The specific installation steps are as follows:
Step 1: check the grounding and stability of the rack.
Step 2: install two L-brackets in the accessories on both sides of the switch panel, and fix them with
the screws provided in the accessories,
Step 3: Insert the top end of the rail into the groove directly below the metal spring.
Step 4: The rail attachment will fit into the rail, as shown in the figure below.

Step 5: place the switch in a proper position in the rack, supported by the bracket; fix the L-shaped
bracket on the fixed guide slots at both ends of the rack with screws, so as to ensure that the switch
is stably and horizontally installed on the rack.
Note: good grounding of the rack is an important guarantee for anti-static, anti leakage, lightning
protection and anti-interference of the equipment, so ensure the correct installation of the rack
grounding wire; the equipment installed in the rack is generally from the bottom to the top to avoid
overload installation; avoid placing other heavy objects on the switch surface to avoid accidents;
ensure heat dissipation and air circulation.

Power Input
The Industrial Switch has two redundant power inputs, PRW1 and PWR2. The Phoenix terminal
patch panel connector is located on the top panel of the switch. The front view of the patch panel is
shown below.
Step 1: Plug the positive / negative DC lines to the V + /V-terminals.
Step 2: To prevent the DC cable from loosening, use a flat screw to fix the clamp of the patch panel
connectors.
Step 3: Plug the Phoenix terminal patch panel into the patch panel socket on the top panel of the
switch.
Setup and States
a) Connect the Ethernet port of the Ethernet Switch to a PoE IP camera (PoE device) or network
device with a network cable.
b) Insert the appropriate SFP into the SFP port. Connect the fiber cable from the device (media
converter or switch) on the other end to the LC connector of the SFP.
c) After the device is powered on, the PWR indicator will all be on. If the indicators are not on,
check the power supply connection.
d) After all cables are correctly connected, the indicators will be lit as per port status LEDs.

To ensure trouble free transportation and storage, all OT Systems products must be thoroughly
inspected, tested and properly packed before delivery. Check the product upon receipt for any
visible damage which may have been caused during shipment.
