11.Connectto aproperlygroundedoutletonly(See GroundingInstructions).
12.Toprevent electric shock, always remove the electrical plug from the electrical outlet before do-
inganyrepairsormaintenanceandwhenleavingthemachineunattended. Donothandleplugor
vacuumwithwethands.
13.Donot pull cord, use cord as ahandle,closeadooroncord,orpullcordaroundsharpedgesor
corners. Keepcord away from heatedsurfaces. Donot use with damagedcord or plug.
14.Turnoffallcontrolsbeforeunplugging.
15.Do not put objects into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked: keep free of dust, lint,
hairandanythingthat may reduceairflow.
16.Keephair, looseclothing,fingersandallpartsofthebodyawayfrom openingsandmovingparts.
17.Make sure all labels, decals, warnings, cautions and instructions are fastened to the machine.

This machine must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break
down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric
currenttoreduce therisk ofelectricshock. This machineisequipped
with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and ground-
ing plug. The plug must be inserted into an appropriate outlet that
is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local
codes and ordinances.
WARNING - Improper connection of the equipment-grounding con-
ductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified
electrician or service person if you are in doubt as to whether the
outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with
the machine - if it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed
by a qualified electrician.
This machine is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a
grounded plug that looks like the plug illustrated in figure A. A
temporary adapter that looks like the adapter illustrated in figures B
and C may be used to connect this plug to a 2-pole receptacle as
shown in figure B if a properly grounded outlet is not available.
The temporary adapter should be used only until a properly
grounded outlet (figure A) can be installed by a qualified electri-
cian. The green colored rigid ear, lug, or the like extending from the
adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a
properly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the adapter is
used, it must be held in place by a metal screw.
NOTE: In Canada, the use of a temporary adapter is not permitted
by the Canadian Electrical Code
EXTENSIONCORDS
Use only three-wire 14/3 or larger gauge approved extension
cords that have three-prong grounding type plugs and three-pole
receptacles that accept the appliance’s plug. Replace or repair
any damaged cords or plugs.
When servicing, refer to authorized person only. Use only identi-
cal replacement parts.

OPERATINGPROCEDURES
WARNING! For the safe operation of this machine
follow the instructions given in this booklet and
the training given by your supervisor. Failure to
do so can result in personal injury and/or damage
to machine and property!

The model shown in this manual is intended for com-
mercial use.
PREPARATION
Pleaseseetheoperatinginstructionsmanualincluded
with your unit for assembly instructions.
OPERATION
1. Plug the machine’s power cable into a prop-
erlygrounded outlet(seeGroundingInstructions).
2. Release the handle by stepping on the pedal
and lowering handle until motor starts. To
lower handle further (for cleaning under ob-
jects), step on pedal again and lower handle
as much as necessary.
3. Useshort back and forth strokes to cover small
areas.
4. To turn the unit off, raise the handle to the up-
right position.
5. The necessary time to properly clean carpet
depends on the carpet thickness and the
amount of dust/dirt.
6. To store your upright, roll the cable trying not
to twist it and hang it from the cord hook at the
top part of the handle tube.
7. Make sure that the height of the vacuum is
adjusted to the proper level using the height
adjustment knob on the hood of the unit.
MAINTENANCE
ALWAYS turn the vacuum OFF and UNPLUG the
power cord from the electrical outlet before doing
any clean-up or repairs, and when the machine is
left unattended.
AFTEREACHUSE:
1. Vacuum filter bag: If the bag is full or damaged
install a new one.
HEPA Paper Bag, 3 Pack - Part # 660605

Cloth Shake Out Bag (optional) – Part # 660615
2. Power cord and plug: Check for cuts or nicks; if
damaged, have the cord replaced at a factory au-
thorizedservice center.
3. Wheels: Remove any strings or debris that may
restrictthefreemovementofthewheels.
4. Brush: Remove any strings or debris. Replace if
becomesworn or damaged.
Storage: Store the machine in a clean dry area.
VACUUM MOTORMAINTENANCE:
Havethe vacuummotorinspected annuallybya factory
authorizedservice technician. This service willprolong
the life of the motor.

LIMITED WARRANTY
ThePacific PerformanceSeries Vacuumshavebeenmanufactured,testedand inspected in accordance with specific
engineeringrequirementsandisWARRANTEDtobefreefromdefectsinworkmanshipandmaterialsasfollows:
Five(5)years parts, one (1) year labor – Chassis (128G& 128DC)
Two (2) years parts, one (1) year labor - Chassis (127G & 127DC), Fan (All), Yoke (All), Switch (All)
One (1) year parts & labor –All other components unless excluded below.
Thiswarranty extends to the originaluser/purchaserandonly when used, operated andmaintainedinaccordance with
Pacific OperatingandMaintenanceinstructions.
This warranty does not apply to the following wear parts and accessories of the machine including:

Nor does it apply to damage or failure caused by improper use, abuse or neglect. Warranty credit or replacement of
return parts including motors, pumps, etc., is subject to incoming inspection of those items.
To secure repair under this warranty,the following procedure should be taken:
· Theinoperativemachineor warranted parts must be delivered to the authorized service center with shipping and
deliverychargesprepaid. Ifunable to locateaservicecenter, you may contactPacific at the address listed herein
forthelocation of the nearest repair center or agent or forother instructions pertainingtoyour warranty difficulty.
· Upon compliance with the above warranty procedure, all warranted repairs would be completed at no additional
charge or cost to the user.
· OnlyPacific orits authorized dealersandagentsmaymakenochargewarrantyrepairson thisproduct. Allothers
do so at their own risk.
This warranty limits Pacific liability to the repair of the product and/or warranted parts replacement and does not
include incidental orconsequential damages arising fromthe use of a Pacific machinewhether defective or not.
This warranty is in lieu of all other expressed or implied warranties and is extended to the original purchaser/user.
