referred to as PALAZZETTI) are manufactured and
tested in accordance with the safety requirements
set forth by applicable European standards.
This manual is for owners, installers, operators and
maintenance engineers of the CLEMY series of
stoves.
If you have any doubts about the contents of this
manual or need some clarifications, please do not

DUAL COMBUSTION SYSTEM
Inawood burningstove, acorrectlyburning flameemitsthe same
amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) as would be emitted through
the natural decomposition of the same wood.
The quantity of CO2 produced by combustion or decomposition
of a tree corresponds to the quantity of CO2that the tree itself is
capableof extractingfrom the environmentand transforminginto
oxygen for the air and carbon for itself during its lifetime.
Unlike wood, when fossil fuels are burned which are not re-
newable, like coal, diesel oil, gas - a huge amount of C02ac-
cumulated in the course of millions of years is emitted into the
atmosphere, increasing the green-house effect. Consequently
the use of wood as fuel maintains the perfect balance of nature
because it is a renewable fuel whose burning is compatible with
the natural life cycle.
The principle of clean combustion is in perfect harmony with
these characteristics and palazzetti always refers to it when
designing its products.
Whatexactlydowemeanbycleancombustionandhowdoesit
comeabout? By controlling the flowof primary air and byadding
secondary air, a second level of combustion, or post-combus-
tion,takes place. This is indicatedbya second characteristically
clearerand stronger flameabove themain flame. Byadding new
oxygen, this flame consumes the unburned gasses, remarkably
improvingheat production and reducing the harmfulemission of
CO(carbonmonoxide) causedby incompletecombustion.Thisis
a unique feature of stoves and other PALAZZETTI products.

DAS SYSTEM DER DOPPELTEN VER-
BRENNUNG
Einein einem Heizofen korrekt brennende Flammegibtdie glei-
che Menge an Kohlendioxyd (C02) ab, die durch die natürliche
Zersetzung des Holzes selbst hätte erzeugt werden können.
Diebei derVerbrennung oderZersetzung einerPflanzeerzeugte
C02-Menge entspricht der Menge, die diese Pflanze während
ihres Lebenszyklusses aus der Atmosphäre entnehmen und
in Sauerstoff für die Luft bzw. in Kohlenstoff für die Pflanze
umwandeln kann.
Beider Verwendung von nicht erneuerbarenFossilbrennstoffen
(Kohle,Erdöl, Gas) werden im Gegenteil zum Holz riesige Men-
gen an CO2 freigesetzt, das sich im Laufe von Millionen Jahren
angesammelt hat, was zur Erhöhung des Treibhauseffekts bei-
trägt. Demnach kann die Verwendung von Holz als Brennstoff
als umweltfreundlich angesehen werden, da ein erneuerbarer
Brennstoff verwendet wird, der sich harmonisch in den natürli-
chen, ökologischen Zyklus der Natur einfügt.
DasPrinzip der sauberen Verbrennungentspricht voll und ganz
diesen Zielsetzungen und die Firma Palazzetti berücksichtigt
dies auch beim Entwurf ihrer Produkte.
