1 Cautions for safe repair work
To prevent accidents during repair work, injury or property loss to the users, safety instructions are described
below.
Degree of loss or potential for injury is classified as follows.

After the repair, replace the original wiring layout.
Otherwise the lead wires may contact any rotating parts or adjacent components causing
failure, electric shock or fire.
Be careful to avoid electric shock. Disconnect power plug while repairing.

3. Problems Checking
Please follow check operating detail bellow, before start to check
the problems.
3.1. Thermo Pot Performance Test Mode
3.1.1 Boiling and keep warm test
How to operate
1. Pour water into the container. (up to white line)
2. Supply with electric power.
3. Press SELECT pad to set 98 keep warm.
LED symbol for this instruction show as below.
Instructions
1. Long boil/Reboil LED will be lighted and start to boil water.
(LED monitor will display temperature in every 5 degree)
2.
After 14 to 15 minutes, buzzer sounds 4 times, 98 KEEP
WARM LED will be lighted and change to keep warm state.
• If choose Keep Warm at 98, LCD monitor will be changed
to 98 from 100 in approx. 9 min.
• If choose Keep Warm at 98, LCD monitor will be changed
to 98 from 90 in approx. 3 min.
• If choose Keep Warm at 98, LCD monitor will be changed
to 98 from 80 in approx. 3 min.
• Temperature in LCD monitor changes in the sequence of
100 98 90 85.
3. Display of temperature and battery charge sign in LCD
monitor while cordless operation. (Involves approx. 10°C
difference. Below display is the case.)
4. Required time to change to warm keep temperature.
• 98 warm keep : Approx 2.5 to 3.5 min..
• 90 warm keep : Approx.2.5 to 4.5 hours.
• 80 warm keep : Approx. 4.0 to 6.0 hours.

1. Set Keep Warm.
2. Press LONG BOIL/REBOIL bad once or twice.

If press LONG BOIL/REBOIL pad once.

2. Buzzer sounds 4 times after approx. 1 min. and 98 Keep
Warm will lights on. LCD monitor will display as picture
below.

3.1.3. Pour out test (Electric pump type)
How to operate
1. Pour hot water into Container.
2. Supply with electric power.
3. Press UNLOCK pad
4. Press Dispenser pad.
Operating details
1. If press UNLOCK pad then Dispenser pad, water will be
poured out from Dispensing Spout.
3.1.4. LCD monitor display test (All lighted)
How to operate
1. Pour water into the container. (In this time, Battery
Charge Sign should be erased. -> Method : Erase battery
charge sign by repeating water pouring.)
2. Press TIMER pad, LONG BOIL.REBOIL pad, all together,
and then supply electric power.
3.1.5. Pour out test (Cordless type)
How to operate
1. Pour hot water into Container
2. Supply with electric power.
3. Supply power until Level 3 battery charge sign will be
displayed
4. Disconnect power cord when Level 3 battery charge sign
is displayed.
5. Press LOCK UNLOCK pad.
6. Press Dispenser pad.
Operating detail
1. If press Dispenser pad, and then Dispenser pad, water
will be poured out from Dispensing Spout.

use. ( a half after 5 years.)

3.7. About “Automatic saving” function
• This unit remembers the daily use pattern, the hours this unit is used or not, after the power is supplied at first.
Refer to P.18 for the storage of the use pattern, the hours this unit is used or not.
This is a function to save electric power costs automatically “by stopping the power supply while this unit is not used” and
“starts boiling and keep warm at the preset temperature while used hours” based on stored pattern if Timer pad is pressed 5
times.
3.7.1. Operation of “Automatic saving” function
If “Timer” pad is pressed 5 times, following will be performed.
“Automatic” is displayed on LCD, and performs either mode of “Unused hours” or “Used hours”.
3.7.1.1. If “Unused hours”
Stops power supply.
(Temperature starts to fall and keeps warm at this temperature.)

“Keep warm” LED : OFF.
“Stand-by” is displayed in LCD.

Automatically switches based on stored use pattern.
3.7.1.2. If “Used hours”
Starts to boil, and keeps warm at set temperature.

3.7.2. Features of this function
Point 1
Boiling will be started automatically at the “time for use” based on stored pattern while this function is activated.
Accordingly, if the power cord is connected to the socket branched from a same breaker connected to other equipment, and
the power is connected at the same time, the breaker may be tripped.
Point 2
Air pump method is available while this function is activated.
In this case, “Automatic” in LCD will be erased.
Point 3
Change of the keep warm temperature or timer can be set up even while this function is activated. If keep warm temperature
is set from “80” to “90”, or “90” to “98”, it is boiled until the temperature reaches to set temperature.
Boiling will be started at the time set by the timer function.
Point 4
While this function is activated, power will be cut off at the start of “Unused hours”, and the temperature falls
accordingly. This is not a failure of unit.
Please check the signs “Automatic” and “Stand-by” in LCD when the water temperature falls as the result of this function.

3.7.3. Cancel of “Automatic Saving”
If “Timer” pad is pressed 5 times, following will be performed.
“Automatic” is displayed on LCD, and performs either mode of “Unused hours” or “Used hours”.
Operation :
Press “Automatic Saving/Timer” pad.
Display
“Automatic” on LCD is erased.

If the water temperature is low when this function is cancelled, re-boiling will be started.
3.7.3.1. If reset the stored use pattern
Stored use pattern will be erased if the power plug is disconnected and left for more than 10 hours.
3.7.4. About storage of use pattern (hours using this unit and unused hours)
• Storage of use pattern (learning function) of “Automatic Saving” is made in the following procedure.
This function split a day (24 hours) into 72 pieces of time, each piece is 20 minutes, and store the record of used or unused of
each peace. Judgment method in this unit whether used or unused is as follows.
Regarded as “Used”
If the hot water is dispensed.
Regarded as “Unused”
Other cases such as boiling, keep warm, power supply is stopped by timer function, power supply is stopped by disconnection
of power plug etc.
Storage (learning) of basic use pattern
Basic use pattern means the operation pattern (Automatic Saving) applied to the operation of the days after 2nd week from
the date of first power on.
After the first power on, used hour (1 piece) during 1 week (7 days) are accumulated and stored. After the data for 1 week
is stored, a same time in a day is used at least 1 time, such period of time is deemed “used”, and others are deemed “unused”.
After 2nd week, pot is operated based on this pattern.
After 3rd week, data in 2nd week is reflected and update the basic pattern to follow the variation of life pattern.

4. Reassembling and Assembling Procedure
[Below figure shows the case]
Attention,
Please assemble in the reverse sequence referring to
Assembling points.
4.1. Bottom plate and Plug connector
1. Remove 2 Tapping screws.
2. Remove 2 Truss screw from Body
3. Remove 1 Tapping screw of Plug connector
4. Remove Plug connector and slide insulation sheet A comp.,
and then orange and white lead wires from the Plug connector.
5. Remove insulation sheet A comp. from orange
and white lead wires.
Caution
Be careful for injuries by the
end face of metal portions
while reassembling,
replacement and assembling.
Wear groves while working.
