Environmental protection /
Scrapping
Recycle unwanted material, do not
throw it in household rubbish. All
machinery, accessories and packaging
must be sorted and left at a recycling centre and
disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
Important!
NOTE: Before you start using the winch, it is
important that you very carefully read, understand
and follow all the directions and safety instructions
contained in the user manual to prevent any risk of
personal injury and damage to the winch. Save the
operating instructions for future reference.
• Wear appropriate clothing. Never wear loose
clothing or loosely hanging jewellery as these
items can easily get caught in rotating parts
of the electric winch. Wear leather gloves
when handling the cable as you can easily be
injured by protruding wire ends. Non-slip safety
shoes are recommended when working with
the electric winch. Long, hanging hair must be
tiedup or held in place in a hairnet.
• Always maintain as large a safety distance to
the cable as possible, preferably 1.5 times the
length of the cable. This also applies to the
winch operator. Never be between the electric
winch and the object to be winched when
winching. NEVER pass over or under the cable
when it is loaded.
• Large forces are generated when using the
electric winch causing major safety hazards.
Therefore, only people who are familiar with
thefunctions of the electric winch must be
allowed to use it.
• Children and other people looking on, as well
asanimals, must be kept at a safe distance
from the electric winch and its working area.
• Posture and balance. Stand in a stable and
comfortable position. Never reach over
equipment in operation. Maintain a proper
posture and balance at all times.
• Do NOT use the electric winch under the inuence
of alcohol or drugs. Think about what you are
doing, apply common sense and absolutely do
NOT use the electric winch if you are tired, if you
are on medication that can lead to drowsiness, or
if you are under the inuence of alcohol or drugs.
• Always inspect the electric winch before use.
Components may have been inuenced by
exposure to chemicals, salt and rust. Check
that the functionality is correct. Pay attention
to any damage that could affect operation.
Anydamaged parts must be replaced
immediately by an authorised repairer.
• Secure the vehicle with handbrake and chocks
before using the electric winch, especially if
itistilted where the vehicle is parked.
• Do NOT use cable that is damaged.
• Keep your hands away from moving parts,
such as the cable drum and cable guide, when
in use. Always wear gloves when handling the
electric winch cable. Keep your hands away
from moving parts, such as the cable drum and
cable guide, when in use. Always wear gloves
when handling the electric winch cable.
• Do NOT exceed the maximum pulling capacity
of the electric winch.
• Make sure the electric winch is securely bolted
to a mounting prole (or vehicle) that is strong
enough to withstand the maximum capacity of
the electric winch.
• Always use the correct type of connection
when connecting the hook to the object it is to
be attached to. Do not fasten to any mounted
accessory, solely to the chassis of the object.
• The electric winch must NOT be loaded when
the cable is fully unwound. Make sure that the
cable is distributed evenly over the drum when
it is winding in.
• Do not overload the electric winch. Do not
force the electric winch to perform better
than it is designed for. Your work will be safer
and the results better if the electric winch is
not overloaded but used with respect to its
capacity. If you nd that you have to winch
something that exceeds the maximum capacity
of the electric winch, it is recommended to use
what is called “double cable”. Double cable
means that you double the cable via a breaking
roller, while at the same time you double the
pulling capacity through a lower gear ratio.
• The cable must NOT be extended using any
random device. Never winch across a road or
near a power line. Never lift people using the
winch.
