Vor dem Benutzen
Die Gebrauchsanweisung aufmerksam lesen.
Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise für den Ge-
brauch, die Sicherheit und die Wartung des
Gerätes.
Sie soll sorgfältig aufbewahrt und gegebenen-
falls an Nachbenutzer weitergegeben werden.
Das Gerät darf nur für den vorgesehenen
Zweck, gemäß dieser Gebrauchsanweisung,
verwendet werden.
Beim Gebrauch die Sicherheitshinweise beach-
ten.

Sicherheitshinweise
• Achtung! Dieses Gerät nicht in der
Nähe von Badewannen, Wasch-
becken oder anderen Gefäßen,
die Wasser enthalten, benutzen
oder ablegen. Gefahr besteht auch bei
ausgeschaltetem Gerät. Deshalb stets den
Netzstecker ziehen, wenn der Frisierstab
nicht benutzt wird.
Als zusätzlicher Schutz wird die Installation
einer Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung (RCD)
mit einem Bemessungsauslösestrom von
nicht mehr als 30 mA im Badezimmerstrom-
kreis empfohlen. Fragen Sie Ihren Installa-
teur um Rat.
• Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch
Personen (einschließlich Kinder) mit einge-
schränkten physischen, sensorischen oder
geistigen Fähigkeiten oder mangels Erfah-
rung und/oder mangels Wissen benutzt zu
werden, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine

für ihre Sicherheit zuständige Person beauf-
sichtigt oder erhielten von ihr Anweisungen,
wie das Gerät zu benutzen ist.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass Kinder keine Gele-
genheit erhalten, mit dem Gerät zu spielen.
• Den Netzstecker nicht an der Leitung oder
mit nassen Händen aus der Steckdose
ziehen.
• Gerät nicht an tropfnassen Haaren oder
an Kunststoffhaaren anwenden. Vor der
Anwendung Haare frottieren.
• Vorsicht, die Bürste wird heiß. Nur vorn, an
der Bürstenkappe anfassen.
• Die Luftansaugöffnungen nicht durch Klei-
dung, Haare oder Hände abdecken.
• Das Gerät auch zum kurzzeitigen Ablegen
ausschalten.
• Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen bzw.
sofort Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:
-Gerät oder Netzkabel beschädigt ist
-der Verdacht auf einen Defekt nach einem
Sturz oder Ähnlichem besteht.
In diesen Fällen das Gerät zur Reparatur
geben.
• Der Netzstecker ist zu ziehen:
-Bei Störungen während des Betriebes
-Vor jeder Reinigung und Pflege
-Nach dem Gebrauch.
• Gerät zum Reinigen nicht in Wasser tau-
chen.
• Zum Aufbewahren des Gerätes die Zulei-
tung nicht knicken und nicht straff um das
Gerät wickeln.
• Bei Zweckentfremdung, falscher Bedie-
nung oder nicht fachgerechter Reparatur
wird keine Haftung für eventuelle Schäden
übernommen.

Ebenso sind Garantieleistungen in solchen
Fällen ausgeschlossen.
• Das Gerät ist nicht für den gewerblichen
Gebrauch bestimmt.
• Wenn die Anschlussleitung dieses Gerätes
beschädigt wird, muss sie durch den zentra-
len Kundendienst des Herstellers oder eine
ähnlich qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden.
Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen kön-
nen erhebliche Gefahren für den Benutzer
entstehen.
Schalter
Mit dem Schiebeschalter kann die Heiz- und
Luftleistung individuell angepasst werden.

Werden die Lufteintrittsöffnungen abgedeckt
oder sind sie mit Haaren zugesetzt, wird die
austretende Luft zu heiß, und der Überhit-
zungsschutz schaltet das Gerät ab. Sollte
dieser Fall einmal eintreten, den Schalter auf
-0- stellen. Nach ca. 5 Minuten ist der Frisier-
stab wieder betriebsbereit. Zuvor bei Bedarf
das Gerät bei gezogenem Netzstecker reinigen.
Bürstenaufsätze
Stylingbürste 19 mm Ø  für kleine Locken
Stylingbürste 23 mm Ø  für mittlere Locken
Je nach Haarlänge oder gewünschter Frisur
die dafür geeignete Bürste auswählen. Zum
Wechseln bei abgekühltem Gerät die Ausrollta-
ste drücken und die Bürste mit leichtem Dreh
abziehen. Die neue Bürste aufstecken bis sie

einrastet.
Nach dem Einrollen der Haare die Wärme eini-
ge Sekunden einwirken lassen. Wird die warme
Luft als zu heiß empfunden, eine niedrigere
Einstellung wählen. Zum Ausrollen der Locken
die Ausrolltaste drücken. Die Bürste wird aus-
gekoppelt und kann aus der geformten Locke
herausgerollt werden.
Das Haar erst nach dem vollständigen Abküh-
len auskämmen oder bürsten. Dadurch hält die
Frisur länger.
Reinigung und Pflege
Vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker ziehen.
Nach Benutzung das abgekühlte Gerät von
Haaren befreien. Das Gerät keinesfalls in
Wasser tauchen, nur mit einem feuchten Tuch
abwischen und trockenreiben.
Die Aufsätze können im Wasser mit einem
milden Reiniger gesäubert werden. Vor der
Benutzung darauf achten, dass sie völlig ge-
trocknet sind.
Garantie-Information
Für unsere Geräte übernehmen wir gegenüber
dem Endkunden eine 24-monatige Haltbar-
keitsgarantie. Sie beginnt mit dem Kauf des
Gerätes durch den Endkunden und gilt im
Gebiet der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
Ansprüche aus dieser Garantie sind unter Vor-
lage des Kaufbelegs direkt gegenüber unserem
zentralen Kundendienst geltend zu machen.
Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind Schä-
den durch normalen Verschleiß, unsachge-
mäßen Gebrauch sowie unterbliebene Pflege.
Der Endkunde besitzt zusätzlich zu den
Ansprüchen aus dieser Garantie gesetzliche
Ansprüche wegen Mängeln des Gerätes
gegenüber seinem direkten Verkäufer/Händler,

die durch diese Garantie nicht eingeschränkt
werden.

Prior to use
Read these instructions carefully. They contain
important notes for the use, safety and mainte-
nance of the appliance.
Keep them in a safe place and give them toge-
ther with the appliance to any subsequent user.
Only use the appliance for the purpose menti-
oned in these instructions.
Be sure to follow the safety information when
using the appliance.

Safety information
• Important! Never use or store
this appliance near bath tubs,
wash-basins or other receptacles
containing water. This safety advice
is also valid when the appliance is switched
off. Therefore, always disconnect the curling
tong when not in use.
For additional safety, we recommend the in-
stallation of a fault current protection device
with a rated breaking current, ensuring that
30 mA will not be exceeded in the electrical
circuit supplying the bathroom. Let your
installation electrician advise you.
• This appliance is not intended to be used by
persons (including children) with limited phy-
sical, sensory or intellectual faculties or who
lack experience and/or knowledge, unless
they are supervised by a person responsible
for their safety or have received instructions
on how to use the appliance.
• Please make sure that children do not have
an opportunity to play with the appliance.

• Do not pull out the plug by the cord or touch
it with wet hands.
• Do not bring the appliance in contact with
dripping wet hair or artificial hair. Before use,
towel down your hair.
• Caution. The brush becomes very hot. Hold
only at the front by the brush cap. Do not
cover the air intake openings with clothes,
hair or hands.
• Always switch off the appliance before
putting it down.
• If the following happens do not use the
appliance and unplug it immediately:
-the appliance or power cable are damaged
-a defect is suspected after a fall or similar
occurrence
In these cases, have the appliance re-
paired.
• Pull the power plug:
-if faults arise during operation
-prior to each cleaning and service
-after use.
• Never immerse the appliance in water for
cleaning purposes.
• For storing the appliance do not fold the
cable and do not tightly wrap it around the
appliance.
• In the case of misuse, wrong handling or
incorrect repair, no liability will be taken for
possible damages.
Also, guarantee services are excluded in
such cases.
• The appliance is not intended for commer-
cial use.
• If the cable of the appliance is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer’s
authorised service agent or a qualified
technician. Incorrect repairs may result in

considerable hazards for the user.
Settings
Use the slide switch to adjust the heat and air
setting individually.

If the air outlets are covered or if they are blo-
cked with hair, the emerging air will get too hot
and the overheating protection will switch off
the appliance. In this event, set the switch to
-0-. After about 5 minutes the curling tong can
be put into operation again. If necessary, clean
the appliance when unplugged prior to starting
up again.
Brush attachments
Styling brush 19 mm Ø  for small curls
Styling brush 23 mm Ø  for medium-sized
curls
Select the brush which suits the hair length
or the style you wish to create. To change the
brush, wait for the appliance to cool down,
press the roll-out button and pull off the brush
with a slight twist. Insert the new brush until it
locks into place.
After rolling in the hair, allow the heat to work
on the hair for a few seconds. If the warm air
feels too hot, select a lower setting. To roll out
the curls, press the roll-out button. The brush
will be disengaged and can be rolled out of the
formed curl.
Do not comb or brush the hair before it is com-
pletely cooled. This will ensure that the curls
hold longer.

Cleaning and service
Prior to cleaning always unplug the appliance.
Remove all hair from the cooled appliance after
use. Never immerse the appliance in water,
only clean it with a damp cloth and rub dry.
The attachments can be cleaned in water with
a mild cleaning agent. Make sure the attach-
ments are completely dry, before using them
again.
For UK use only
• This product is supplied with a 13 A plug
conforming to BS 1363 fitted to the mains
lead. If the plug is unsuitable for your socket
outlets or needs to be replaced, please note
the following. If the plug is a non-rewireable
one, cut it from the mains lead and imme-
diately dispose of it. Never insert it into a
socket outlet as there is a very great risk of
an electric shock.
• The replacement of the plug at the mains
lead has to be done according to the follow-
ing instructions:
Important: The wires in this mains lead are
coloured in accordance with the following
code:
blue Neutral
brown Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead
of this appliance may not correspond with
the coloured markings identifying the termi-
nals in your plug, proceed as follows:
-the wire which is coloured blue must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter N or coloured black,
-the wire which is coloured brown must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter L or coloured red.

which is marked with the letter E or by the
earth symbol , or coloured green or
green and yellow.
• If a 13 A (BS 1363) plug is used it must be
fitted with a 3 A fuse conforming to BS
1362 and be ASTA approved. If any other
type of plug is used, the appliance must be
protected by a 5 A fuse either in the plug or
adapter or at the distribution board.
If in doubt - consult a qualified electrician.
• Never use the plug without closing the fuse
cover.
The appliance is compliant with
European Directives 2006/95/EC,
2004/108/EC and 2005/32/EC.
This product may not be disposed
of in normal household waste at
the end of its service life, but must
be delivered to a collecting point
for recycling electrical and
electronic appliances.
The materials are reusable in accordance with
their identification. You will make an important
contribution to the protection of our environ-
ment by recycling used appliances.

point at your community offices.
