Vor dem Benutzen
Die Gebrauchsanweisung aufmerksam lesen.
Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch,
die Sicherheit und die Wartung des Gerätes. Sie
soll sorgfältig aufbewahrt und gegebenenfalls
an Nachbenutzer weitergegeben werden. Das
Gerät darf nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck,
gemäß dieser Gebrauchsanweisung, verwendet
werden. Beim Gebrauch die Sicherheitshinwei-
se beachten.

Sicherheitshinweise
• Achtung! Dieses Gerät nicht in der
Nähe von Badewannen, Waschbe-
cken oder anderen Gefäßen, die
Wasser enthalten, benutzen oder
ablegen. Gefahr besteht auch bei ausgeschal-
tetem Gerät. Deshalb stets den Netzstecker
ziehen, wenn der Frisierstab nicht benutzt wird.
Als zusätzlicher Schutz wird die Installation
einer Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung (RCD)
mit einem Bemessungsauslösestrom von
nicht mehr als 30 mA im Badezimmerstrom-
kreis empfohlen. Fragen Sie Ihren Installateur
um Rat.
• Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch
Personen (einschließlich Kinder) mit einge-
schränkten physischen, sensorischen oder
geistigen Fähigkeiten oder mangels Erfah-
rung und/oder mangels Wissen benutzt zu
werden, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine
für ihre Sicherheit zuständige Person beauf-
sichtigt oder erhielten von ihr Anweisungen,
wie das Gerät zu benutzen ist.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass Kinder keine Gele-

genheit erhalten, mit dem Gerät zu spielen.
• Den Netzstecker nicht an der Leitung oder
mit nassen Händen aus der Steckdose zie-
hen.
• Gerät nicht an tropfnassen Haaren oder an
Kunststoffhaaren anwenden. Vor der Anwen-
dung Haare frottieren.
• Vorsicht, die Bürste wird heiß. Nur vorn, an
der Bürstenkappe anfassen.
• Die Luftansaugöffnungen nicht durch Klei-
dung, Haare oder Hände abdecken.
• Das Gerät auch zum kurzzeitigen Ablegen
ausschalten.
• Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen bzw. so-
fort Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:
-Gerät oder Netzkabel beschädigt ist
-der Verdacht auf einen Defekt nach
einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem besteht.
In diesen Fällen das Gerät zur Reparatur
geben.
• Der Netzstecker ist zu ziehen:
-Bei Störungen während des Betriebes
-Vor jeder Reinigung und Pflege
-Nach dem Gebrauch.
• Gerät zum Reinigen nicht in Wasser tau-
chen.
• Zum Aufbewahren des Gerätes die Zuleitung
nicht knicken und nicht straff um das Gerät
wickeln.
• Bei Zweckentfremdung, falscher Bedienung
oder nicht fachgerechter Reparatur wird keine
Haftung für eventuelle Schäden übernommen.
Ebenso sind Garantieleistungen in solchen
Fällen ausgeschlossen.
• Das Gerät ist nicht für den gewerblichen Ge-
brauch bestimmt.
• Wenn die Anschlussleitung dieses Gerätes
beschädigt wird, muss sie durch den zentra-
len Kundendienst des Herstellers oder eine

ähnlich qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden.
Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen können
erhebliche Gefahren für den Benutzer entste-
hen.
Schalter
Mit dem Schiebeschalter kann die Heiz- und
Luftleistung individuell angepasst werden.

Werden die Lufteintrittsöffnungen abgedeckt
oder sind sie mit Haaren zugesetzt, wird die
austretende Luft zu heiß, und der Überhitzungs-
schutz schaltet das Gerät ab. Sollte dieser Fall
einmal eintreten, den Schalter auf -0- stellen.
Nach ca. 5 Minuten ist der Frisierstab wieder
betriebsbereit. Zuvor bei Bedarf das Gerät bei
gezogenem Netzstecker reinigen.
Bürstenaufsätze
Stylingbürste 25 mm Ø
 ideal zum Stylen von kleinen Locken

 ideal zum Stylen voluminöser Frisuren und
großer Locken
Je nach Haarlänge oder gewünschter Frisur die
dafür geeignete Bürste auswählen. Zum Wech-
seln bei abgekühltem Gerät die Entriegelungs-
taste drücken, die Bürste gegen den Uhrzei-
gersinn drehen und abziehen. Die neue Bürste
aufstecken und im Uhrzeigersinn bis zum An-
schlag drehen.
Nach dem Einrollen der Haare die Wärme eini-
ge Sekunden einwirken lassen. Wird die warme

Luft als zu heiß empfunden, eine niedrigere Ein-
stellung wählen.
Das Haar erst nach dem vollständigen Abküh-
len auskämmen oder bürsten. Dadurch hält die
Frisur länger.
IONIC-Technologie
Das Gerät verfügt über eine innovative IONIC-
Technologie. Während des Gebrauches ausströ-
mende Ionen verhindern eine elektrostatische
Aufladung der Haare, wodurch dieses weicher
und glatter wird.
Reinigung und Pflege
Vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker ziehen.
Nach Benutzung das abgekühlte Gerät von
Haaren befreien. Das Gerät keinesfalls in Was-
ser tauchen, nur mit einem feuchten Tuch abwi-
schen und trockenreiben.
Die Aufsätze können im Wasser mit einem mil-
den Reiniger gesäubert werden. Vor der Benut-
zung darauf achten, dass sie völlig getrocknet
sind.
Garantie-Information
Für unsere Geräte übernehmen wir gegenüber
dem Endkunden eine 24-monatige Haltbarkeits-
garantie. Sie beginnt mit dem Kauf des Gerätes
durch den Endkunden und gilt im Gebiet der
Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
Ansprüche aus dieser Garantie sind unter Vor-
lage des Kaufbelegs direkt gegenüber unserem
zentralen Kundendienst geltend zu machen.
Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind Schäden
durch normalen Verschleiß, unsachgemäßen
Gebrauch sowie unterbliebene Pflege.
Der Endkunde besitzt zusätzlich zu den Ansprü-
chen aus dieser Garantie gesetzliche Ansprüche
wegen Mängeln des Gerätes gegenüber seinem
direkten Verkäufer/Händler, die durch diese Ga-
rantie nicht eingeschränkt werden.

Das Gerät entspricht den Europä-
ischen Richtlinien 2006/95/EG,
2004/108/EG und 2005/32/EG.
Dieses Produkt darf am Ende sei-
ner Lebensdauer nicht über den
normalen Haushaltsabfall entsorgt
werden, sondern muss an einem
Sammelpunkt für das Recycling
von elektrischen und elektronischen Geräten
abgegeben werden.
Die Werkstoffe sind gemäß ihrer Kennzeichnung
wiederverwertbar. Mit der Wiederverwendung,
der stofflichen Verwertung oder anderen For-
men der Verwertung von Altgeräten leisten Sie

Prior to use
Read these instructions carefully. They contain
important notes for the use, safety and main-
tenance of the appliance. Keep them in a safe
place and give them together with the appliance
to any subsequent user. Only use the appliance
for the purpose mentioned in these instructions.
Be sure to follow the safety information when
using the appliance.

Safety information
• Important! Never use or store
this appliance near bath tubs,
wash-basins or other recepta-
cles containing water. This sa-
fety advice is also valid when the appli-
ance is switched off. Therefore, always
disconnect the curling tong when not in use.
For additional safety, we recommend the in-
stallation of a fault current protection device
with a rated breaking current, ensuring that
30 mA will not be exceeded in the electrical
circuit supplying the bathroom. Let your in-
stallation electrician advise you.
• This appliance is not intended to be used by
persons (including children) with limited phy-
sical, sensory or intellectual faculties or who
lack experience and/or knowledge, unless
they are supervised by a person responsible
for their safety or have received instructions
on how to use the appliance.
• Please make sure that children do not have
an opportunity to play with the appliance.
• Do not pull out the plug by the cord or touch
it with wet hands.

• Do not bring the appliance in contact with
dripping wet hair or artificial hair. Before use,
towel down your hair.
• Caution. The brush becomes very hot. Hold
only at the front by the brush cap. Do not co-
ver the air intake openings with clothes, hair
or hands.
• Always switch off the appliance before put-
ting it down.
• If the following happens do not use the appli-
ance and unplug it immediately:
-the appliance or power cable are damaged
-a defect is suspected after a fall or similar
occurrence
• In these cases, have the appliance repaired.
• Pull the power plug:
-if faults arise during operation
-prior to each cleaning and service
-after use.
• Never immerse the appliance in water for
cleaning purposes.
• For storing the appliance do not fold the ca-
ble and do not tightly wrap it around the ap-
pliance.
• In the case of misuse, wrong handling or
incorrect repair, no liability will be taken for
possible damages.
• Also, guarantee services are excluded in
such cases.
• The appliance is not intended for commercial
use.
• If the cable of the appliance is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer’s
authorised service agent or a qualified tech-
nician. Incorrect repairs may result in consi-
derable hazards for the user.

Settings
Use the slide switch to adjust the heat and air
setting individually.
C Cooling mode

If the air outlets are covered or if they are blo-
cked with hair, the emerging air will get too hot
and the overheating protection will switch off
the appliance. In this event, set the switch to
-0-. After about 5 minutes the curling tong can
be put into operation again. If necessary, clean
the appliance when unplugged prior to starting
up again.
Brush attachments
Styling brush 25 mm Ø

 ideal for styling medium-sized curls

 ideal for styling voluminous hair and big curls
Depending on the length of your hair or the re-
quested hairstyle, choose the suitable brush.
When the unit has cooled off, press the unlo-
cking button to change the brush. Turn and pull
the brush counter-clockwise. Push on the new
brush and turn clockwise up to the stop.
After curling up your hair, permit the heat to take
effect for some seconds.
If the hot air is too hot, switch to a lower set-
ting.
Comb or brush the hair after it has cooled off
completely. The hairstyle will hold longer.

IONIC technology
The unit has been fitted with an innovative IO-
NIC system. Ions escaping whilst in use prevent
electrostatic charging of the hair making it softer
and straighter.
Cleaning and service
Prior to cleaning always unplug the appliance.
Remove all hair from the cooled appliance after
use. Never immerse the appliance in water, only
clean it with a damp cloth and rub dry.
The attachments can be cleaned in water with a
mild cleaning agent. Make sure the attachments
are completely dry before using them again.
For UK use only
• This product is supplied with a 13 A plug
conforming to BS 1363 fitted to the mains
lead. If the plug is unsuitable for your socket
outlets or needs to be replaced, please note
the following. If the plug is a non-rewireable
one, cut it from the mains lead and immedia-
tely dispose of it. Never insert it into a socket
outlet as there is a very great risk of an elec-
tric shock.
• The replacement of the plug at the mains
lead has to be done according to the follow-
ing instructions:
Important: The wires in this mains lead are
coloured in accordance with the following
code:
blue Neutral
brown Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead
of this appliance may not correspond with
the coloured markings identifying the termi-
nals in your plug, proceed as follows:
-the wire which is coloured blue must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter N or coloured black,

-the wire which is coloured brown must
be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter L or coloured red.
Do not connect any wire to the terminal
which is marked with the letter E or by the
earth symbol , or coloured green or
green and yellow.
• If a 13 A (BS 1363) plug is used it must be
fitted with a 3 A fuse conforming to BS
1362 and be ASTA approved. If any other
type of plug is used, the appliance must
be protected by a 5 A fuse either in the
plug or adapter or at the distribution board.
If in doubt - consult a qualified electrician.
• Never use the plug without closing the fuse
cover.
The appliance is compliant with
European Directives 2006/95/EC,
2004/108/EC and 2005/32/EC.
This product may not be disposed
of in normal household waste at
the end of its service life, but must
be delivered to a collecting point
for recycling electrical and electro-
nic appliances.
The materials are reusable in accordance with
their identification. You will make an important
contribution to the protection of our environ-
ment by recycling used appliances.
Please ask about the responsible dis-
posal point at your community offices.
