INSTALLATION GUIDE
HDMI UHD 18GBPS
DOWNSCALER

The 4K Downscaler downscales video from 4K to 1080p. It can be
used with a video matrix or splitter where there are 4K sources and
a mix of 4K and 1080p TVs.

INSTALLATION
1Connect a HDMI cable between Downscaler “HDMI OUT” and TV.
2Connect a HDMI cable between Downscaler “HDMI IN” and Video
Source.
3For S/PDIF audio output, connect an Optical cable between the
“Optical Out” port and Audio device.*
4Plug in power jack to “DC 5V” port.
5Power on power adapter.
* Optical Audio will not output if audio has more than 6 channels.

STATUS LED INDICATOR
Red Powering on. This may take a few seconds.
Yellow Detected a change in the video signal and conguring
Green Congured and healthy. Video and audio will be output.
EDID CONTROL
The rotating switch controls the functionality of the Downscaler.
To set a particular mode:
1Power OFF the Downscaler.
2Using a small at head screwdriver, turn the arrow to the
desired mode number.
3Power ON the Downscaler.
0Use saved EDID after copying from a TV using mode 1
1Copy EDID from a TV and save it. Switch to 0 after saving EDID
2Use EDID prole 4K, HDR, 8 Channel Audio
3Use EDID prole 4K, HDR, 6 Channel Audio
4Use EDID prole 4K, HDR, 2 Channel Audio
5Use EDID prole 4K, No HDR, 8 Channel Audio
6Use EDID prole 4K, No HDR, 6 Channel Audio
7Use EDID prole 4K, No HDR, 2 Channel Audio
8-F Reserved. No function.
* Optical Audio will not output if audio has more than 6 channels.
