What else you'll need
These tools (not included) will help you mount the unit as described in part 3 Mount it, and on the
template.
Preparation
For best performance, install the unit as far as
possible from sources of noise and interference
(e.g. fridges, microwaves, fluorescent lamps)
aFind a mounting location near a wall outlet.
bUse the mounting template to test the design and
thickness of your kitchen cabinet bottom.
cDecide whether you want to connect the unit with
other audio/ visual equipment. ( See Bbelow)

Connect the following supplied
accessories to the respective jacks on
the rear of the unit :
•12V DC power adapter
•Extend the FM pigtail antenna fixed
to the main unit
(The unit has bulit-in AM antenna.)

Other connections (cables not
included)
•For TV reception on the unit, connect a TV anten-
na/CATV cable (not supplied).
•For use with VCR or other audio/video appliances,
connect the composite cable and match the col-
ors of the cinches (AUDIO IN L/R,VIDEO IN) on the unit.

Aska friend to help you mount the unit as it is quite heavy.

•Cutthe template to fit inside the cabinet.
•Alignthe template border marked "FRONT"
alongthe front edge of your cabinet.
•Useadhesive tape to fix the template.
•Drill1/4 inch holes (size X.X mm diameter,X
inch),asmar ked Xon the template.
•Removethe template when you finishdr illing.

Usingthe spacers
Onthe spacers, there are 4 pairs of notch length
options.Dependingon the thickness of you cabi-
netbottom (with/ without an overhang),these
notchlengths correspond to the 4 notch height in
thespace holders, and allow youto adjust to the
bestheight to help you mount the unit.
•Measurethe height of the cabinet bottom
and/overhang.
•Turnthe spacer counterclockwise to determine
whichof the 4 heights is most suitable:High ••
Low
•Insertthe spacers accordingly.

•Manuallyfasten the 4screws down into the
spacerholder holes to mount your set.If the
overhangis more than 1 1/4 inch,use longer
screws(not included).
Tip
–Use a nail to start each drill hole.
–Hold your drill firmly at 90o with the cabinet bottom and drill holes at
lowspeed.
–Clear wood shavings.
Tip
Toprevent damage to your set, do not use an electric drill
tosecure screws when mounting!
–Hold the unit horizontally when installing it,since the CD tray may
openif the unit is shaken.
–Use the cable manager to manage excess power cordlength.
