Why is skin cleansing so important?
C◗Cleansing is the first step
Facial cleansing is a basic element of women's
beauty regime.It is a prerequisite for proper
skincare.Cleansing the face prepares the skin for
other treatments such as moisturising,deep
cleansing or nourishing.
If you do not cleanse your skin properly,the pores
may clog up,possibly causing blackheads or
blemishes,or a residue may develop which slows
down the natural process of sloughing off skin
cells.
◗The benefits of exfoliation
The purpose of exfoliating is to remove dead skin
cells to reveal a radiant,youthful skin.Exfoliation
makes room at the skin's surface to allow the
deeper layer of newer,less dry skin cells to reach
the surface of the skin.Dried-up skin cells left on
the surface of the skin too long can produce a
dull,uneven and flaky layer.
Removing these dead skin cells can make a huge
difference to the appearance of the face and
lends a fresher look to the skin.The more you
stimulate the normal process of exfoliation of skin
cells,the less cell debris can fill up and clog the
pores,the easier blackheads can be removed and
the more radiant your skin will look.

The newVisapure has specially developed soft
brushes which gently rotate to deeply cleanse
your skin.They can be used every day with your
regular cleansing product or for special intensive
cleansing.The brushes remove dirt and dead skin
cells,leaving your skin smooth and radiant.
C◗Soft Pressure Sensor
A built-in system automatically adjusts the
pressure of the brush on your face to guarantee
optimal and gentle cleansing.Two different
intensity settings are available:you can use the soft
setting (left) for a gentle treatment and the
intensive setting (right) for a deeper cleansing.
These settings also allow you to adjust the
intensity of the treatment to the sensitivity of
your skin,the soft setting being more pleasant on
a sensitive skin.

This brush is highly suitable for effective deep

C◗This brush can be used with your facial soap

C◗The smallT-zone brush cleanses the nose and
the chin area gently and thoroughly.
Important
◗Do not use theVisapure on dry,chapped skin
or when you suffer from skin diseases or skin
irritations,such as acne,sunburn,etc.
◗Please note that the condition of the skin
varies throughout the year.Facial skin can get
dryer during the winter season:in that case
you should reduce the treatment time.
◗Do not press the brush too hard onto your
face.Using theVisapure should always feel
pleasant.
◗When using theVisapure on the neckline,
make sure that you observe a shorter
treatment time than normally recommended.
The neckline area is more sensitive than the
face.
◗Regular cleaning of the appliance ensures
optimal results and a longer life.
◗Keep the appliance away from children.

hair away from your face in order to prevent
the hair from getting tangled in the brush.
◗The appliance is waterproof and can be used
in the shower.

Preparing the appliance for use
Charging the appliance
When you charge the appliance for the first time,
it will take approximately 16 hours before the
battery is fully charged.
C1Place theVisapure in the charging stand.
Note:To ensure that theVisapure makes proper
contact with the charging stand,it should be
pushed into the stand as deep as possible.The
appliance has been properly inserted when you
are unable to turn it round in the stand.
Make sure the charging unit does not come into
contact with water.
2Insert the plug of the charging stand into a
wall socket.
C◗As soon as you start charging the appliance,
the green pilot light will go on.

You can put theVisapure back into the charging
stand after each use.
BTip:TheVisapure can be left to charge
continuously.However,to extend the lifetime of
the battery,we recommend that you let the
Visapure run until the motor almost stops after
having charged it for the first time.Then recharge
the appliance.Repeat this procedure at least
every 6 months.
Using theVisapure
Daily facial cleansing with the
cleansing brush
C1Push the cleansing brush onto the
connection pin until it locks into position
with a click.
2Use,for example,a headband to keep your
hair away from your face in order to
prevent your hair from getting tangled in
the brush.
If you are wearing heavy make-up,we advise you
to remove most of the make-up first.
C3Choose the 'soft' setting for daily
cleansing.
BTip:For the best result,we advise you to foam up
a small portion of your favourite cleansing product
in the palm of your hand by using the brush and

lukewarm water.You can also put the cleanser
directly onto the dampened brush.
BIf you use cleansing milk,we advise you to put it
directly onto the brush.
4Place the brush onto your face.
C5Press the on/off button to switch the
Visapure on.
C6Gently move the brush across your face
while making circular movements.
To achieve the best cleansing result,you should
use theVisapure for approximately 1 to
2 minutes,depending on the sensitivity of your
skin.
Do not overdo the cleansing.Remember that
cleansing should always feel pleasant.
BTip:While cleansing,skip sensitive skin areas such
as the eye area and the lips.
Removing dead skin cells with the
exfoliating brush
C1To exchange the brush,pull it from the
connection pin and store it carefully on
the back part of the stand.

C2Attach the exfoliating brush by pushing it
onto the connection pin until it locks into
position with a click.
3Use,for example,a headband to keep your
hair away from your face in order to
prevent your hair from getting tangled in
the brush.
4To achieve the best exfoliating results,you
should first clean your face.Then moisten
your face with lukewarm water and apply
your favourite scrub cream.
BTip:If you prefer to exfoliate only with cleansing
cream,foam up a small portion in the palm of
your hand with help of the dampened brush.You
can also put the cleanser directly onto the
dampened brush.
C5Choose the 'intensive' setting,which is
ideal for effective deep cleansing and
exfoliation.
6Place the exfoliating brush onto your face.
7Press the on/off button to switch the
Visapure on.
8Gently move the brush across your face
while making circular movements.

Do not overdo the exfoliation procedure
Remember that exfoliation should always feel
pleasant.
For an effective exfoliation,you should use the
brush for approximately 1 to 2 minutes,
depending on the sensitivity of your skin (do not
exfoliate longer or more often than
recommended on the package of your scrub
cream).
Cleansing the nose and chin area with
theT-zone brush (type HP5258 only)
C1Attach theT-zone brush by pushing it onto
the connection pin until it locks into
position with a click.
2Place the brush onto your face and press
the on/off button.
C3Gently move the brush across the nose
and the chin area while making small
circular movements.
◗To achieve the best results,you should use
this brush for approximately 1 minute,
depending on the sensitivity of your skin.
Soft Pressure Sensor
The Soft Pressure Sensor will automatically adjust
the pressure of the brush on your face to
guarantee effective and gentle cleansing.

C◗When you press the brush onto your face,it
will spring backwards.The cushioned brush
ensures that optimal brushing pressure is
maintained and that the brush accurately
follows the contours of the face.
BTip:The appliance has two intensity settings:
1) the 'soft' setting for a gentle treatment or for
more sensitive skin areas,2) the 'intensive' setting
for deeper cleansing and more thorough
exfoliation.
Cleaning and storing
Clean the appliance and the brushes after each
use.
Do not use any alcohol,acetone,petrol,abrasive
cleaning agents etc.to clean the plastic parts.
C1Rinse theVisapure and the brushes under
the tap.Use warm water (max.60cC).
C2Also rinse the inside of the brushes.
BTip:If the filaments have become deformed,you
can restore them to their original shape by rinsing
the brush in warm water.
C3Switch theVisapure on to rinse any
cleansing residues from the connection
pin.

4Dry theVisapure and the brushes with a
towel.
5Store the dryVisapure in the stand.
C6Leave one brush attached to theVisapure.
Place the second brush onto the pin on
the back part of the stand.
◗You can clean the charging stand with a moist
cloth.
Make sure the charging stand is unplugged when
you clean it.
Maintenance and replacement
Mains cord
If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged,it
must always be replaced by Philips or a service
centre authorised by Philips.Repair by unqualified
people could cause an extremely hazardous
situation for the user.
Replacement brushes
C◗Replace the brushes every 3 to 6 months for
good cleansing and exfoliation results.
Replace the brush if the deformed filaments can
no longer be restored to their original shape.
Worn filaments will move impurities around
rather than remove them.They could also irritate
your skin.

which you have purchased your Philips beauty
Visapure.If you have problems finding
replacement brushes,see under 'Information &
service'.
Environment
Remove the batteries when you discard the
appliance.Do not throw the batteries away with
the normal household waste,but hand them in at
an official collection point.You can also take the
batteries to a Philips Service Centre,which will
dispose of them in an environmentally safe way.
1Take the appliance out of the charging unit.
2Let the appliance run until the battery is
completely empty.
C3Remove the bottom part of the appliance.
C4Disengage the battery and cut the wires.
Do not try to replace the battery.
Do not put the appliance back in the charging
unit after the battery has been removed.

Vor dem Gebrauch
DenAkku aufladen
Laden Sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch den Akku
auf.Nach ca.16 Stunden ist er voll aufgeladen.
C1Setzen SieVisapure in das Ladegerät
Hinweis:Achten Sie auf einen guten Kontakt,
setzen Sie das Gerät so tief wie möglich ein.Es ist
dann gut eingesetzt,wenn Sie es nicht mehr im
Ständer herumdrehen können.
Halten Sie das Ladegerät vonWasser fern.
2Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose.
C◗Wenn derAkku aufgeladen wird,leuchtet die
grüne Kontroll-Lampe.
Sie könnenVisapure nach jedem Gebrauch auf
das Ladegerät zurück stellen.
BHinweis:Visapure kann dauerhaft auf das
Ladegerät zum Laden desAkkus untergebracht
werden.Sie erhöhen aber die Nutzunsdauer des
Akkus,wenn Sie denAkku nach dem ersten
Aufladen erst wieder aufladen,wenn der Motor
angehalten hat.Laden Sie denAkku danach
erneut.Wiederholen Sie diesenVorgang alle 6
Monate.
