WHO IS COVERED?
Yo m st have proof of p rchase to receive warranty service. A sales
receipt or other doc ment showing that yo p rchased the prod ct
is considered proof of p rchase.
WHAT IS COVERED?
Warranty coverage begins the day yo b y yo r prod ct. For one
year thereafter, all parts will be repaired or replaced, and labor is free.
After one year from the day of purchase, yo pay for the replacement
or repair of all parts, and for all labor charges.
All parts, incl ding repaired and replaced parts, are covered only for
the original warranty period. When the warranty on the prod ct
expires, the warranty on all replaced and repaired parts also expires.
WHAT IS EXCLUDED?
Yo r warranty does not cover:
• labor charges for installation or set p of the prod ct, adj stment
of c stomer controls on the prod ct, and installation or repair of
antenna systems o tside of the prod ct.
• prod ct repair and/or part replacement beca se of mis se,
accident, na thorized repair or other ca se not within the
control of Philips Cons mer Electronics Company.
• reception problems ca sed by signal conditions or cable or
antenna systems o tside the nit.
• a prod ct that req ires modification or adaptation to enable it to
operate in any co ntry other than the co ntry for which it was
designed, man fact red, approved and/or a thorized, or repair of
prod cts damaged by these modifications.
• incidental or conseq ential damages res lting from the prod ct.
(Some states do not allow the excl sion of incidental or
conseq ential damages, so the above excl sion may not apply to
yo . This incl des, b t is not limited to, prerecorded material,
whether copyrighted or not copyrighted.)
• a prod ct that is sed for commercial or instit tional p rposes
(incl ding b t not limited to rental p rposes).
WHERE IS SERVICE AVAILABLE?
Warranty service is available in all co ntries where the prod ct is
officially distrib ted by Philips Cons mer Electronics Company. In
co ntries where Philips Cons mer Electronics Company does not
distrib te the prod ct, the local Philips service organization will
attempt to provide service (altho gh there may be a delay if the
appropriate spare parts and technical man al(s) are not readily
available).

Please keep yo r sales receipt or other doc ment showing proof of
p rchase. Attach it to this owner’s man al and keep both nearby.
Also keep the original box and packing material in case yo need to
ret rn yo r prod ct.

list) or a thorized service center for repair.When the prod ct has
been repaired, yo m st pick p the nit at the center. Centers may
keep defective parts.

incl ding implied waarranties of merchantability and fitness for a
partic lar p rpose, are limited in d ration to the d ration of this
express warranty. Beca se some states do not allow limitations on
