Transport and Storage
You can lift and carry the vacuum cleaner using the carrying handle Never pull or lift
the vacuum cleaner by the cord.
Before putting the vacuum cleaner away, rewind the cord. Switch off at the socket,
unplug, and press the automatic cord rewind button until the cord is fully
rewound.
To save space, the vacuum cleaner can be stored upright on its end cover.
Cleaning
Clean the vacuum cleaner by wiping it with a damp cloth.
You must not use any form of solvent, or strong or abrasive cleaning agent.
Make sure all lters are kept clean (see above). Replace the lters once they become
worn or can no longer be cleaned.

Preparing the vacuum cleaner
Attach the hose to the vacuum cleaner by inserting it into the hose connector until
you hear a click.To remove the hose, press the buttons at the side of the hose and
pull it out of the hose connector.
Fit the telescopic tube (3) into the other end of the hose, and attach the oor nozzle
(1) to the end of the tube.
You can adjust the length of the telescopic tube by pushing the locking mechanism
(2) down and pulling on the bottom section of the tube until it reaches a suitable
length.When parking, shorten the tube as far as possible.
Using Your Vacuum Cleaner.
Pull the cord out of the vacuum cleaner.The cord must not be pulled out any
further than the red mark. Plug in and switch the power on.
Press the on/off button (11) to start and stop the vacuum cleaner.
While in use, the suction strength can be regulated by opening and closing the air
valve (6) on the handle at the end of the hose.
The oor nozzle has two settings. When cleaning hard surfaces (parquet ooring,
ooring tiles, etc.), the nozzle brushes should be extended. When cleaning carpets
and rugs, the brushes should be retracted into the nozzle.
Press the brush change button on the oor cleaning tool to switch between
the two settings.
If, during vacuuming, you need to pause to move furniture etc., you can place the
oor nozzle in the parking holder using the xture on the back of the nozzle.
Introduction
To get the best out of your new vacuum cleaner, please read through these
instructions carefully before using it for the rst time. We also recommend that
you keep the instructions for future reference, so that you can remind yourself
later of the functions of your vacuum cleaner.
The vacuum cleaner, cord or plug must not be placed in water or any other liquid.
Never touch the vacuum cleaner, cord or plug with wet or damp hands.
Never leave the vacuum cleaner unattended when it is switched on. Children should
be supervised when they use the vacuum cleaner.
Switch the vacuum cleaner off and unplug it when it is not in use, before cleaning, and
before you empty the dust container or clean the lters.
Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the
plug.
Keep hold of the plug when rewinding the cord, so that it does not strike the vacuum
cleaner. Keep the cord and appliance away from heat sources, hot objects and naked
ames.
To prevent overheating, the cord must be at least 2/3 unrolled if the vacuum cleaner
is to be used for a long period (more than 30 minutes).
Never use the appliance if it, the cord or plug is damaged or if the appliance is not
functioning correctly. Never use the vacuum cleaner if the lters have not been tted.
Only use accessories manufactured or recommended by the manufacturer.
The appliance is for indoor use only. Do not use it on wet surfaces.Take particular
care when vacuuming stairs, due to the risk of falling or the vacuum cleaner falling
and breaking.
Do not use the appliance to vacuum up matches, hot ashes, cigarette butts, hard or
sharp objects, wet or damp substances, combustible materials (petrol, solvents, etc.)
or vapour from these.
Do not cover the appliance’s suction or exhaust port. Ensure that you keep clothing,
hair and body parts away from the nozzle and moving parts of the vacuum cleaner.
Never try to repair the vacuum cleaner yourself. If the appliance, cord or plug needs
to be repaired, it should be taken to an authorized service centre. Please contact the
store where you bought the device for repairs under guarantee.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.
This appliance is not intended for use by children or the inrm, unless they have been
given supervision and/or instruction concerning safe use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Important safety advice
Changing the Bag and Filters
The lters in your vacuum cleaner will need to be kept clean, it is easy and
does not take to much time but will ensure that the vacuum will perform and will
prolong the life of yourVacuum.
To change the Motor Filter
Lift, the dust bag compartment lid and remove the bag assembly
and carrier and you will see a foam lter this clips out and into place on a carrier
carefully remove the foam from the carrier and wash. Please ensure that the foam
is dry before replacing into the carrier. Then ret in the vacuum.
To replace the Vacuum bag
Lift the compartment lid remove the bag carrier with the bag empty or remove the
bag from the plastic carrier, replace and ret when bag is past its best.
To Replace the Exhaust Filter
The exhaust lter can be found on the rear panel of the vacuum and is held in place
by clips, un-clip the cover and lter remove from the vacuum.
remove the foam lter and wash and then replace when dry.
