Foreword
PNI C50 battery charger is compatible with 6V and 12V lead-acid, AGM,
Gel, Ca-Ca batteries with a recommended capacity of 10Ah-120Ah.
Warnings
• Before using the charger, check the integrity of the connection cables
along their entire length.
• Never charge a defective battery.
• Do not use sources that may generate sparks near the battery.
• When the battery has reached the end of its life, do not throw it away at
random, but in places specially created for battery recycling.
• If the battery acid comes in contact with your skin or eyes, rinse
immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
• Prevent children from accessing the charger or battery.
Charging lead acid batteries outside the car
1. Connect the red pliers to the positive pole of the battery (+) and the black
pliers to the negative pole of the battery (-).
2. Plug the charger’s power cord into a 230V power source.
Note: when you want to disconnect the battery, first unplug the charger and
afterwards unplug the pliers.
Charging car-mounted lead-acid batteries
1. Connect the red pliers to the positive pole of the battery (+) and the black
pliers to the car chassis, away from the fuel lines.
2. Plug the charger’s power cord into a 230V power source.
Note: when you want to disconnect the battery, first unplug the charger,
remove the black pliers and afterwards remove the red plier from the battery
terminals.

Charging stages
Stage 1: Constant charging current
Battery capacity increases rapidly, battery voltage increases, too.
Stage 2: Constant charging voltage
Battery capacity increases, battery voltage increases slowly, charging current
decreases.
Stage 3: Fully charged battery and floating charging stage
The charging current decreases and is lower than the “floating” charging
current, the charging voltage decreases to the “floating” charging voltage and
continues charging with the “floating” charging voltage.
