Introduction
The echo and roger beep module PNI ECH01 is designed to work together
with any CB and VHF/UHF transceiver as an additional module, having as
main functions:
• Generating the echo eect of the signal captured by the transceiver’s
microphone and inserting it in the modulation level;
• Generating a custom signal (MP3 audio file) at the end of the transmission
and maintaining it.
Technical specifications
• Supply voltage: 9 - 12V
• Idle current: 6 mA
• Operating current: 56 mA
• Distortion ~ 3.72% (depending on microphone capsule)
• Supported files: MP3, WAV
• Audio file length: 1.5 sec. (firmware V1.0)
Copy MP3 file to Echo and Roger Beep module
Copy an MP3 / WAV file to the Echo and Roger Beep module following the
steps below:
1. With the module already connected to the transceiver according to the
connection diagrams shown below:
• With the transceiver turned on, a USB-Micro USB data cable is connected
between the PC (laptop) and the echo module;
• External storage media similar to any USB or card storage media will
appear on the PC (laptop);
• Delete the existing file and copy the new file;
• To disconnect,safelyremove themediafromtheoperatingsystem (“Eject”
or “Safely remove mass storage”).
• For proper functionality, observe the following technical characteristics
of the audio file: Maximum length 1.5 seconds, Transmission speed 8-
320Kbps, MP3 / WAV file type, Medium volume level.

Caution: Do not transmit with the transceiver while the module is connected
to the computer via a micro USB cable.
2. With the module out of the box (before being connected to the transceiver):
• Jumper J1 is shorted to provide power via the Micro-USB jack. Note: The
jumper may stay short-circuited even afterward.
• Connect a USB-Micro USB data cable between the PC (laptop) and the
echo module;
• Repeat the steps above in paragraph 2.

Модулът за echo и roger beep PNI ECH01 е проектиран да работи
заедно с всеки CB и VHF/UHF трансивър като допълнителен модул,
имащ като основни функции:
• Генериране на ехо ефекта на сигнала, уловен от микрофона на
трансивъра, и вмъкването му в нивото на модулация;
• Генериране на персонализиран сигнал (MP3 аудио файл) в края на
предаването и поддържането му.

CB- und VHF/UHF-Transceiver als zusätzliches Modul zusammenzuarbeiten
und hat als Hauptfunktionen:
• Erzeugen des Echoeekts des vom Mikrofon des Transceivers erfassten
Signals und Einfügen in den Modulationspegel;
• Generieren eines benutzerdefinierten Signals (MP3-Audiodatei) am Ende
der Übertragung und dessen Beibehaltung.

Kopieren Sie die MP3-Datei in das Echo- und Roger Beep-
Modul
Kopieren Sie eine MP3-/WAV-Datei in das Echo- und Roger Beep-Modul,
indem Sie die folgenden Schritte ausführen:
1. Wenn das Modul bereits mit dem Transceiver gemäß den unten gezeigten
Anschlussdiagrammen verbunden ist:
• Bei eingeschaltetem Transceiver wird ein USB-Micro-USB-Datenkabel
zwischen dem PC (Laptop) und dem Echomodul angeschlossen;
• Auf dem PC (Laptop) erscheinen externe Speichermedien ähnlich wie
USB- oder Kartenspeichermedien;
• Löschen Sie die vorhandene Datei und kopieren Sie die neue Datei;
• Um die Verbindung zu trennen, entfernen Sie das Medium sicher aus dem
Betriebssystem („Auswerfen“ oder „Massenspeicher sicher entfernen“).
• Beachten Sie für eine einwandfreie Funktion die folgenden technischen
Eigenschaften der Audiodatei: Maximale Länge 1,5 Sekunden,
Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit 8-320 Kbps, Dateityp MP3 / wav, Mittlere
Lautstärke.

Achtung: Senden Sie nicht mit dem Transceiver, während das Modul über ein
Micro-USB-Kabel mit dem Computer verbunden ist.
2. Mit dem ausgepackten Modul (vor dem Anschluss an den Transceiver):
• Jumper J1 ist kurzgeschlossen, um Strom über die Micro-USB-Buchse
bereitzustellen. Hinweis: Der Jumper kann auch danach kurzgeschlossen
bleiben.
• Schließen Sie ein USB-Micro-USB-Datenkabel zwischen dem PC
(Laptop) und dem Echo-Modul an;
• Wiederholen Sie die Schritte oben in Absatz 2.

El módulo echo y roger beep PNI ECH01 está diseñado para trabajar en
conjuntoconcualquiertransceptorCByVHF/UHFcomounmóduloadicional,
teniendo como funciones principales:
• Generando el efecto eco de la señal captada por el micrófono del
transceptor e insertándolo en el nivel de modulación;
• Generar una señal personalizada (archivo de audio MP3) al final de la
transmisión y mantenerla.

Copie el archivo MP3 al módulo Echo y Roger Beep
Copie un archivo MP3/WAV al módulo Echo and Roger Beep siguiendo los
pasos a continuación:
1. Con el módulo ya conectado al transceptor según los esquemas de conexión

de transmisión 8- 320Kbps, Tipo de archivo MP3/wav, Nivel de volumen
medio.

Precaución: No transmita con el transceptor mientras el módulo está
conectado a la computadora a través de un cable micro USB.
2. Con el módulo fuera de la caja (antes de ser conectado al transceptor):
• El puente J1 está en cortocircuito para proporcionar energía a través del
conector Micro-USB. Nota: El puente puede permanecer cortocircuitado
incluso después.
• Conecte un cable de datos USB-Micro USB entre la PC (computadora
portátil) y el módulo de eco;
• Repita los pasos anteriores en el párrafo 2.

Introduction
Le module écho et roger beep PNI ECH01 est conçu pour fonctionner avec
n’importe quel émetteur-récepteur CB et VHF/UHF en tant que module
supplémentaire, ayant comme fonctions principales:
• Générer l’eet d’écho du signal capté par le microphone de l’émetteur-
récepteur et l’insérer dans le niveau de modulation ;
• Générerunsignalpersonnalisé(fichieraudioMP3)àlafindelatransmission
et le maintenir.

Copiez un fichier MP3/WAV dans le module Echo et Roger Beep en suivant
les étapes ci-dessous :
1. Avec le module déjà connecté à l’émetteur-récepteur selon les schémas de
connexion ci-dessous:
• Lorsque l’émetteur-récepteur est allumé, un câble de données USB-Micro
USB est connecté entre le PC (ordinateur portable) et le module d’écho ;
• Un support de stockage externe similaire à n’importe quel support de
stockage USB ou carte apparaîtra sur le PC (ordinateur portable);
• Supprimez le fichier existant et copiez le nouveau fichier ;
• Pour vous déconnecter, retirez en toute sécurité le support du système
d’exploitation (“Ejecter” ou “Supprimer en toute sécurité le stockage de
masse”).
• Pour un bon fonctionnement, respectez les caractéristiques techniques
suivantes du fichier audio : Longueur maximale 1,5 seconde, Vitesse de
transmission 8- 320Kbps, Type de fichier MP3/wav, Niveau de volume
moyen.

Attention : Ne transmettez pas avec l’émetteur-récepteur lorsque le module
est connecté à l’ordinateur via un câble micro USB.
2. Avec le module prêt à l’emploi (avant d’être connecté à l’émetteur-
récepteur) :
• LecavalierJ1estcourt-circuité pourfournirl’alimentationvialaprisemicro-
USB. Remarque : Le cavalier peut rester court-circuité même après.
• Connectez un câble de données USB-Micro USB entre le PC (ordinateur
portable) et le module d’écho ;
• Répétez les étapes ci-dessus au paragraphe 2.
