Handset features
Handset hardware
1. Soft Keys - selectfeatureandmenu options atthe bottom of the
display.
2. Navigation Keys / OK Button - increase/decrease ringer
volume, scrollthroughmenus, or move the cursorwithinvarious
fields;press theOK button to access themain menu, select
highlighted items, or saveentries or settings w hilein the menu.
3. Call Button - make or answ ercalls, view recentcalls.
4. End Button - disconnectyour call.
5. Keypad - enter numbers or characters.
6. Speakerphone- makeor answer calls using the speakerphone;
ormove fromthe handsettoa handsfreecall.
7. RedialButton - redial the last number dialed.
8. Mute Button-muteor unmute whileon anactivecall.
9. Microphone- transmits youraudioon the handsetor
speakerphone.
10. LED Light - flashes toindicatean incoming call, missedcall or
new voicemailmessage.
11. Earpiece - allow s youtohear audio during active calls.
12. HeadphonePort- headset connectionport.
Base unit features

1. FIND -press to locate a registeredw ireless handset;press and
hold to pair the basestationto a wirelesshandset.
2. Status Indicator - indicates whetherthehandsetis charging or
the phoneis in use.
3. Charging Cradle - chargesthewireless handset whenplacedin
the cradle.
Base unit features
Base unit hardware
The VVXD60 wireless devicemustbepairedto yourbusiness media
phone, similar to a Bluetooth device. Youcanchoosetopair the base
stationin thefollowingways:
•Automaticpairing
•PC Port pairing
•Manualpairing
If your VVXD60base stationis pairedw ithyour business media
phone, a handseticondisplays onthe business media phone:
After theVVXD60basestation is paired withthebusiness media
phone, youmay need toregisterthe handsetwiththebasestation.
1. On the wireless handset,navigatetoMenu>Settings>Features
> Registration.
2. Select Registerand press theOK button.
3. Press and hold the FIND buttonon the basestation for afew
seconds.
4. Select Yes toconfirmtheregistrationwiththebasestation.
When registration is successful,themessage"Registration
Successful"displays.

Pairing
Deregister
When the ethernetcableis connectedfromthebasestation LANport
to the PC port on theVVXbusiness media phone,the phone pairs with
the basestationautomatically.
If for some reason the base station is no longer paired withtheVVX
business media phone, youcanperformone of thefollowingsteps:
To pair with the basestationusing the PC port pairing:
1. On the VVXbusiness mediaphone, navigateto Home
>Settings >Features>VVXD60Configuration.
2. On the VVXD60 Configurationscreen,select Base Station,and
then select PCPortalPairing.
To pair with the basestationusing automatic pairing:
1. On the VVXbusiness mediaphone, navigateto Home >
Settings >Features>VVXD60Configuration.
2. On the VVXD60 screen,select Base Station,andthenSelect
Automaticpairing.
3. Select thebase stationthen Pair.
To pair with the basestationin manualpairing:
1. On the VVXbusiness mediaphone, navigateto Home
>Settings >Features>VVXD60Configuration.
2. On the VVXD60 Configurationscreen,select Base Station,
then select ManualPairing.
3. Enter the IP addressof theBasestation,andthen select Pair.
If a w irelesshandsetneeds to bereplaced,deregister theexisting
wireless handsetbeforeyou registeranew handsettothebase
station.
1. On the wireless handset,navigatetoMenu>Settings>Features
> Registration.
2. Navigate to Deregisterand press theOK softkey.
3. Confirmderegistrationby pressing theYes softkey (cancel
deregistrationprocess by pressingtheNo softkey).
4. "DeregistrationSuccessful"appears onthedisplay w henthe
deregistrationis complete.
To register a new device,follow theprocedures for VVXD60
registration.

Navigation and soft keys
Press the Menu softkey toexposethefollow ingfeatures:
1. Call Logs
2. Messages
3. Directories
4. DND
5. Settings
After accessingthemenuoption by pressing the Menu softkey,use
the Up/Down Navigation keys toscrollthroughvarious options. With
an option highlighted, press theOK button to select. Continue using
the Navigation keys,theOK button, andthe Soft Keys atthe bottom
of the display,to manage features withinthe Menu option.
Making/ending calls
Answering incoming calls
Making a call:
1. Enter a 10-digit number,or extension,onthekeypad.
2. To use thehandset:press theGreen handset buttontosend
your call.
3. To use thespeakerphone:press theSpeakerphone buttonthen
the Green handset buttontosendyour call.
Ending a call:
1. Press the Red handsetbuttonor return the handsetto thecradle.
Note: Pressing theRed handsetbutton is less disruptiveto yourcaller.
Answering a call:
1. Press the Green handset buttonor the Speakerphone button.
Answering asecond callwhileon an active call
1. Youheara tone whenreceivinganincoming call.
2. Press the Green handset buttontoanswer onthehandset;
press theSpeakerphonebuttonthenthe Greenhandsetbutton
to answeronhandsfree.
3. This automatically places yourexistingcaller onhold.
Note: Press the Swap soft key tomove betweenactiveandheldcalls.

Hold/navigate between calls
Conference (3-way) calling
Placing a call on hold:
1. While onan activecall, press the Options softkey.
2. With Hold highlighted, press theOK button or Select softkey.
Resumea heldcall:
1. Press the Options softkey.
2. With Resume highlighted,press theOK button or Select softkey.
Navigate betweenactivecalls:
1. While onan activecall, and a callon hold, press theSwap soft
key.
2. This places your activecallon hold, and returnsyoutothe caller
on hold.
Note: The active caller willalw aysbeatthe top of thedisplay;refer to
caller ID to determine w hichcaller you are speakingto.
Placing a 3-way conferencecall:
1. While onan activecall, press the New Callsoftkey.
2. Enter the extensionor 10-digitnumber for thenextparty.
3. Press the Call softkey.
4. When the party answers,announcetheconferencecall.
5. Press the Options softkey.
6. Navigate to ConferenceandpresstheOK button or Select soft
key.
Note: When youdisconnectfromthecall, all parties.
Transfer (consultative)
Transfer (blind)
Consultative transfer allowsyoutoannouncethecall before
completing thetransfer:
Consultativetransfer:
1. While onan activecall, press the Options softkey.
2. With Transferhighlighted,press theOK button or Select softkey.
3. Enter the extensionor 10-digitphonenumber youwishto
transfer to.
4. Press the Green handset buttonor the New Callsoftkey.
5. After announcingthecall, press the Transfersoftkey.
Blind transfer does notallow youtoannounce thecall:
Blind transfer:
1. While onan activecall, press the Options softkey.
2. With Blind Transfer highlighted,press theOK button or Select
softkey.
3. Enter the extensionor 10-digitnumber youwish totransfer to.
4. Press the Transfersoftkey.
Voicemail
Forwarding / do not disturb (DND)
Voicemail for your business media phone canbe accessedfromyour
VVXD60 handset. Listento new andsavedmessages,andmanage
voicemail features:
1. Press the Menu softkey.
2. Highlight MessagesandpresstheOK button or the Select soft
key.
3. With MessageCenterhighlighted,press theOK buttonor the
Select softkey
4. Highlight the line for thevoicemail youwish toaccess,then press
the OK buttonor the Select softkey.
Call ForwardingandDo Not Disturb arenotsupportedonthe VVX
D60 w irelesshandsetandtheassociatedbusiness mediadevice.
These features mustbemanaged by accessingtheenduser portalfor
the business media device.
