FOLDING PLATFORM
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES
Castors
Prior to use expander type castors tted to unit must be checked
for tightness. Expander type castors rely on the expander bolt being
tightened to ensure the castors remain in situ. Please refer to diagram
for tightening details.
Always ensure castors are locked o before use.
Check that the ground is level and capable of supporting the weight of
the folding tower.
Make sure all components are working correctly and free from
damage.
Maximum platform height of the structure is limited to 1.8m; if greater
height is required please contact your supplier.
The tower structure should only be moved manually at the base.
No attempt should be made to move the unit until all materials and
person are rst removed.
Do not use the unit in windspeeds of 18mph and above.
Platform heights of 1.5m and above require the use of a toeboard set.
These are available as an optional extra, please contact your supplier
for details.

* This bolt is to be tightened to a torque of between 30 / 40 Nm and should be checked for tightness
before attempting to use the equipment.
N/B: A general guide for achieveing this torque would be to hand tighten the bolt with a 19mm AF ring
spanner and to then further turn the bolt by another 2 full turns.

ASSEMBLY SEQUENCE
STEP 1
Open out base unit and ensure the
locking mechanism in the locking
elbow is fully engaged.
Please refer to safety notes before use.
STEP 2
Lock o castors as shown.
Castors are to be positioned at
approximately 45 to ensure the
widest possible base footprint.
STEP 3
Locate the platform at the
desired level.
STEP 4
From ground level, locate 2 x 4 rung
guardrail frames if platform is located
on the fourth rung and above onto
the base unit side frames. (Note that
the use of the guardrail frames is
not required from rung 2 and rung 3
platform positions.

ASSEMBLY SEQUENCE CONT.
STEP 5
Climb using the rungs and using the
hatch platform for protection, sit
with both feet on the frame rungs
and attach the nearest end of the
guardrail braces.
STEP 6
Access the platform and
secure the furthest end
of the guardrail braces.
STEP 7
If platform is to be placed at
1.5m and above, then place
toeboard set on platform to
complete tower.
