B. Power
1. Battery Information
- Requires 2 AAA batteries. Load the batteries
according to the polarity (+/–) marks inside the
battery compartment.
- Do not mix old and new batteries or types of
batteries.
- Rechargeable batteries have to be removed from the
Little i-Pen before being charged.
- Remove the batteries for prolonged storage to
prevent the battery acid to leak out.
2. Battery Installation
(1)Press down the battery cover lock. Turn it 90 degrees
anticlockwise. The lock will pop up simultaneously.
(2)To remove the battery cover, hold it on both sides,
and pull it downwards slightly.
(3)Load 2 new batteries according to the polarity (+/–)
marks inside the battery compartment.
(4)Put the battery cover back and press down the cover
lock. Turn it 90 degrees clockwise to tighten it.
C. Micro SD Card
Little i-Pen supports a 2GB SD card.

D. Operation Instructions
1. Turn on and turn off
- Press the On/Off Button to turn on the Little i-Pen.
You will hear the start up tone. The yellow Power
Light will be on.
- Press the On/Off Button to turn off the Little i-Pen.
You will hear the shutdown tone. The yellow Power
Light will be off.
- If the Little i-Pen has idled for three minutes, a
reminder tone will be played. When the tone has
been repeated ve times, the Little i-Pen will turn off
automatically. The yellow Power Light will be off.
- Turn the Little i-Pen off when it is not in use.
2. Touch and Talk
- Touch the “Touch me first” label on the book cover
with the Little i-Pen. Then, put the Little i-Pen on a
word or an image with the optical reader downward.
You can hear the audio response.
- The Little i-Pen should be perpendicular to the book.
Touch gently.
- The recognition process takes some time. Don’t
move the Little i-Pen too fast.

3. Repetition of voice
- To perform the voice repetition function, touch the
same area of a book. The Function Button can
perform this function as well.
4. Volume
- The volume can be adjusted by using the Volume
Control Button. There are three sound levels: low,
medium and high. They can be selected by cycling
the button.
5. Function Button
- Press the button to repeat the last audio.
- Press the button to pause the audio, press again to
resume.
6. Entertainment Button
- There are 12 children’s songs preloaded in the Little
i-Pen. Three songs will be played randomly each
time by pressing the Entertainment Button.

7. USB Port
- Connect the Little i-Pen to PC with the USB cable
and update the contents on the Micro SD card.
WARNING: Protect Your Hearing
To protect children’s hearing, set the volume while in a
quiet environment. Do not hold or place the Little i-Pen
near children’s ears.
E. Safety Instructions
1. Batteries are a choking hazard. When the battery
cover is removed, batteries are exposed. Keep
out of reach of children. Only adults should install
batteries.
2. Turn off the Little i-Pen and remove the batteries
when it becomes extremely hot, begins to smoke,
makes a strange noise or emits a smell.
3. Do not submerge the Little i-Pen in water. If liquid
enters the Little i-Pen, it may cause short circuit. If
this happens, turn the Little i-Pen off and remove the
batteries immediately.
4. Do not try to dismantle the Little i-Pen.

5. Do not insert any sharp objects into the speaker.
6. Do not block the optical reader which is installed at
the base of the Little i-Pen.
7. Do not smash the Little i-Pen against a hard object,
which will damage the optical parts inside the Little
i-Pen.
8. Put away the books carefully and do not smudge
them. Damages caused by humidity and dirt may
affect the “Touch and Talk” function.
9. Store the Little i-Pen at 0oC~40oC. The Little i-Pen
may not work properly in extremely hot, cold, dusty
or humid environments.
10. Remove the batteries for prolonged storage.
11. Clean the Little i-Pen with a slightly damp cloth
(cold water). Do not use soap, detergent, or other
chemicals.

二、電源說明
1. 電池使用說明
‧ 小小聰明筆使用兩枚AAA電池。安裝和更換電池
時，請按照電池槽內的正負極指示。
‧ 新舊或不同類型電池不要混合使用。
‧ 如使用充電電池，請先把電池從小小聰明筆取出後
才充電。
‧ 長時間不使用小小聰明筆時，請取出電池，以免電
池漏液損壞產品。
2. 電池安裝
(1) 向下按壓電池蓋螺絲，到底後逆時針旋轉90度，螺
絲會自動彈出。
(2) 手握住電池蓋下面兩邊，向下拉開電池蓋。
(3) 把兩枚新電池按正負極裝進電池槽。
(4) 蓋上電池蓋，將電池蓋螺絲向下按壓到底後順時針
旋轉90度鎖定螺絲。
三、Micro SD 卡
小小聰明筆支援2GB Micro SD卡。
四、使用說明
1. 開機和關機
‧ 按下電源開關，可以聽到開機音，工作指示燈顯示黃色，
表示小小聰明筆開始正常工作；再次按下電源開關，可
以聽到關機音，工作指示燈熄滅，小小聰明筆關機。

‧ 開機後，如果3分鐘之內不操作，小小聰明筆會播
放提示音樂。之後每隔一段時間，會再次播放提示
音樂。在5次提醒後仍然沒有操作，小小聰明筆自
動關機，工作指示燈也自動熄滅。
‧ 不使用小小聰明筆時，建議及時關機，以免消耗電
池能量。
2. 識讀
‧ 用小小聰明筆點觸封面上的Touch me first 標誌。
然後把筆（識讀器向下）放在配套圖書的文字或圖
畫上，就能聽到讀音或相應的聲音。
‧ 使用時，把小小聰明筆與書面垂直接觸即可，不需
要用力點擊圖書。
‧ 由於識別過程需時，所以小小聰明筆在書面上的移
動速度不要過快。
3. 複讀
‧ 把小小聰明筆放在書頁上同一位置不動，即可實現
複讀功能。按「功能鍵」也可實現這功能。
4. 音量調節
‧ 可通過「音量鍵」調節音量，小小聰明筆設有小、
中、大三個音量級別，循環調節。

5. 功能鍵
‧ 識讀過程中，功能鍵默認功能是重複播放最後一段
語音。
‧ 放音過程中按此鍵會暫停放音，再按鍵一次恢復放
音。
6. 娛樂鍵
‧ 小小聰明筆預置12首兒歌，每次按此鍵隨機播放3
首，重複按鍵，隨機播放另外3首。
7. USB接口
‧ 通過USB接口連接電腦，可以直接打開Micro SD
卡，更改卡上內容。
警告：保護聽覺
保護孩子的聽覺，請在清靜的環境下調校音量，以免
音量過大。使用小小聰明筆時，不要把小小聰明筆靠
近孩子的耳朵。

五、安全事項
1. 小小聰明筆內部含有電池等細小部件。電池蓋打開
後，電池外露，需防止孩子誤吞電池。電池須由成
人更換。
2. 如小小聰明筆出現過熱、冒煙、發出異響或異味
時，請立即關閉電源，並取出電池。
3. 切勿把小小聰明筆放入水中。如有液體進入機內，
有可能因電路短路而造成危險，請立即關閉電源，
並取出電池。
4. 為避免發生危險，請勿自行拆解小小聰明筆。
5. 請勿將尖銳物體插入揚聲器孔，以免損壞揚聲器。
6. 小小聰明筆底部含攝像鏡頭，請勿堵塞識讀器。
7. 小小聰明筆內部有光學器件，請勿摔、扔或用力敲
擊堅硬物體。
8. 請妥善保存和使用配套圖書，請勿用筆塗寫書頁，
並避免圖書受潮變形和弄污，以免影響識讀功能。
9. 小小聰明筆的適用溫度範圍是0oC~40oC，請勿在
過熱、過冷、多灰塵或濕度過高的環境下存放或使
用本產品。
10. 長時間不使用小小聰明筆，請把電池取出。
11. 清潔時最好使用微濕（冷水）的布擦拭表面。切勿
使用梘液或揮發性液體如汽油或其他有機溶劑。

故障 解決方法
1. 小小聰明筆無法開
機或沒有反應
‧ 請確認電池電量充足或
電池是否正確安裝。
‧ 請確認電池蓋已妥善關
上。
‧ 更換新電池。
‧ 如果小小聰明筆接上
USB傳輸線，拔除傳輸
線，並關上電池蓋。
2. 音量小或不穩定 ‧ 通過音量調節鍵將音量
調大。
‧ 更換電池。
3. 無法識讀 ‧ 請確認已點選封面上的
Touch me first 選書標
誌。
‧ 請確認配套圖書沒有損
壞或變形。
‧ 請確認識讀器沒有被堵
塞。
4. 識讀不靈敏 ‧ 請用小小聰明筆輕觸書
本，不要用力點擊。
‧ 小小聰明筆在書面上點
觸過快會無法完成識
別。
‧ 請檢查電池電量是否充
足。
‧ 請確認配套圖書沒有被
塗抹、損壞或變形。
