ensure a long life for the Porsche Classic Com-
munication Management Plus. Your attention and
care is required to ensure that the Porsche Classic
Communication Management Plus can keep its
promise. You will then be able to rely on your Porsche
Classic Communication Management Plus even in
critical situations.
The Porsche Classic Communication Management
Plus is the central control unit for the radio, media
functions, external audio sources, sound settings,
navigation, and Bluetooth® telephony. You must
observe the following to ensure that neither you nor
others are placed at risk or come to harm when using
the Porsche Classic Communication Management
Plus:
WARNING
Accident hazard. Distracted driving can cause you to
lose control over the vehicle.
Only operate the Porsche Classic Communication
Management Plus when you can operate your
vehicle safely and the trac situation permits.
When in doubt, stop the vehicle and operate the
Porsche Classic Communication Management
Plus when at a full stop.
WARNING
Accident hazard. The navigation system is only
intended as support for the driver and gives sug-
gestions for the route. It does not relieve you from
your full responsibility to observe the proper rules of
the road and other applicable regulations governing
conduct on public roads. You as the driver must
assess the relevant trac situation. You are solely
responsible for driving your vehicle safely.
Continue to pay attention to the trac situation.

The following pages provide a description for en-
tering a destination for navigating with the Porsche
Classic Communication Management Plus, for exam-
ple by entering an address or for navigating to points
of interest.

Destination entry

WARNING
Accident hazard. The Porsche Classic Communica-
tion Management Plus guides you along your route
and simplies traveling to your destination. The
rules of the road always apply in the event a driving
instruction violates the respective trac laws. The
driver is always responsible for safe driving.
Continue observing trac.
Your speed must be appropriate
for visibility, weather, and the condition
of the road and trac.
Information
Within the map view, you can move the map in any
desired direction. This is accomplished by pressing
the nger on the touch screen and sliding the map in
any direction.
Navigation access
Navigation is started automatically in the back-
ground when the Porsche Communication Manage-
ment Plus is started.
Press HOME Nav : Start in the main menu
Press HOME Map : Start in the map view
Press NAV : Start in the main menu (from
navigation)
Press NAV : Start in the map view (from exter-
nal source, e.g. TUNER)
Information
Aer starting the Porsche Classic Communication
Management Plus, it may take several seconds until
the navigation function is available.
Making menu selections
The menu items can be operated with the right
rotating knob .
Mark a menu item by rotating the right rotating
knob .
Select the marked menu item by pressing the
right rotating knob .
Menu selections can be entered alternatively on the
touch screen.
Leaving menus
Pressing BACK cancels an operation and
returns you to the next higher level menu.
Keyboard entries
You only need to enter letters and numbers
when this is required. You can press your ngers on
the symbol keys. You can also use the right rotating
knob to enter characters on the keyboard.

Options for entering addresses
You can for example enter the
city or postal code, and the street and house
number
city or postal code, and the street
city or postal code, and center
city or postal code, and the street and intersec-
tion
Information
You can enter all cities, streets, postal codes, etc,
that are stored in the digital map.
However, postal codes are not available for certain
countries. The country and city are sucient for
navigation. You can enter either a city or a postal
code. The street and house number complete the
destination address.
Entering addresses
Proceed as follows for general address entries:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Address.
4. Select menu item Country.
5. Select menu item Town or Postcode.
6. Select menu item Street.
7. Select menu item House number or crossing
street.
8. Press Select as Destination.
9. Press Start Navigation.
Select city center as destination
Proceed as follows to enter the city center of a city
as the destination:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Address.
4. Select menu item Country.
5. Select menu item Town or Postcode.
6. Select menu item Go to Town.
7. Press Select as Destination.
8. Press Start Navigation.
Entering a destination without full
address
You can also enter a destination without all address
information. Start by entering all available informa-
tion and proceed as follows:
1. Press Select as Destination.
2. Press Start Navigation.
The route is now calculated based on the available
information.
Select destination from points of
interest
You select the destination from the collection of
available points of interest, such as fueling stations,
restaurants, or parking. Proceed as follows:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Places.
4. Select the point of interest with the menu
item Search by Name or Category or from a
category.
5. Press Select as Destination.
6. Press Start Navigation.
Information
Use the functions 'along route' or 'at destination' to
select points of interest at the destination or along
the route.
Destination from stored locations
You can enter a destination from previously stored
destinations. Proceed as follows:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Saved Location.

4. Select saved location.
5. Press Select as Destination.
6. Press Start Navigation.
Information
Destinations can only be selected from stored cities,
provided cities were already stored.
Select destination from history
You can enter a destination from already previously
driven to destinations. Proceed as follows:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item History.
4. Select the desired destination.
5. Press Select as Destination.
6. Press Start Navigation.
Destination from stored routes
You can enter a destination from previously stored
routes. Proceed as follows:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Saved Routes.
4. Select the desired route.
5. Press Calculate route.
6. Press Start Navigation.
Information
Destinations can only be selected from stored
routes, provided routes were already stored.
Destinations based on coordinates
You can enter a destination by entering coordinates.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Coordinates.
4. Enter desired latitude.
5. Press OK.
6. Enter desired longitude.
7. Press Go.
8. Press Select as Destination.
9. Press Start Navigation.
Destination from all
destination types
You can enter a destination from all available desti-
nation types. Proceed as follows:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Search in All.
4. Enter name, address, or category of the desired
destination.
5. Press . A list of available destinations is
shown. The right column shows search results
ltered by category, such as last destinations.
6. Select desired destination. The location is
highlighted on the map.
7. Press Select as Destination.
8. Press Start Navigation.
Destinations based on map
You can enter a destination directly on map view.
Proceed as follows:
1. Press HOME Map .
2. Select the desired point on the map.
3. Press Select as Destination.
4. Press Start Navigation.

Enter a new route with waypoints
Proceed as follows to enter a new route with way-
points:

Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Multipoint Route.
3. Enter a nal destination.
4. Press Select as destination.
5. Press Insert Waypoint.
6. Add a waypoint.
7. Press Select as Waypoint.
8. Press Calculate Route.
9. Press Start Navigation.
Save route
Proceed as follows to store routes:
1. Enter a route.
2. Select menu item Calculate Route.
3. Press .
4. Select menu item Save Route.
5. Enter route name and press .
Save active route
Proceed as follows to store the active route:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Route Summary.
3. Press .
4. Select menu item Save Route.
5. Enter route name and press .
Rename route
Proceed as follows to rename a route:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Saved Routes.
4. Press .
5. Select menu item Edit.
6. Select the desired route.
7. Select menu item Rename.
8. Enter route name and press .
Edit route
Proceed as follows to edit a route:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Saved Routes.
4. Select the desired route and enter changes.
5. Press Calculate Route.
6. Press Start Navigation.
Change destination sequence
You have the option to change the sequence of the
waypoints in your planned route. Proceed as follows:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Multipoint Route.
3. Select destination and waypoints.
4. Select menu item Move Up or Move Down.
The destination is moved up or down one position in
the route list.

Delete individual destination
Proceed as follows to delete individual destinations
from a planned route:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Multipoint Route.
3. Select waypoint to delete.
4. Select menu item Delete.
Add waypoint
Proceed as follows to add waypoints to an active
route:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Add Waypoint.
3. Enter the desired destination.
4. Press Select as waypoint.
5. Press Start Navigation.
Avoid specic sections of a route
You can avoid certain sections of an active route.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Detours & Alternatives.
3. Select menu item Avoid Special Sections.
4. Select the desired specic section.
5. Press Accept.
Avoid certain roads of a route
You can avoid certain roads of an active route.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Detours & Alternatives.
3. Select menu item Avoid Specic Road.
4. Select the desired road.
5. Press Accept.
Avoid upcoming route
You can avoid upcoming route sections of an active
route. Proceed as follows:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Detours & Alternatives.
3. Select menu item Avoid Route Ahead
4. Press or to determine the length of
the route section to avoid.
5. Press Avoid.
Restore original route
Proceed as follows to restore the original route:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Detours & Alternatives.
3. Select menu item Restore Original Route.
4. Press OK.
Show alternative route
Proceed as follows to show alternative routes during
an active route:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Detours & Alternatives.
3. Select menu item Alternative Routes.
4. Select an alternative from the list on the right.
5. Press Select.
Information
The function is available if a route was calculated or
navigation is active.
Pause navigation
Proceed as follows to pause an active route:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Press .

Press the Continue Guidance button to continue the
active route.
Delete next waypoint
Proceed as follows to delete the next waypoint:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Delete Waypoint and recon-
rm.
Delete active route
Proceed as follows to delete the active route:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Delete Route.
3. Press OK.
Delete individual saved route
Proceed as follows to delete a saved route:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Saved Routes.
4. Press .
5. Select menu item Edit.
6. Select the desired route.
7. Select menu item Delete and press Delete.
Delete all saved routes
Proceed as follows to delete all saved routes:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Select menu item Saved Routes.
4. Press .
5. Select menu item Edit.
6. Press .
7. Select the menu item Delete All.
Determine new starting point
Proceed as follows to determine a starting point for
route dierent than the current GPS position.
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Multipoint Route.
3. Select menu item Current GPS position.
4. Select menu item Set Starting point.
5. Press OK.
6. Enter the desired starting point.
7. Select menu item Select starting point.
8. Press Continue without route.
Delete new starting point
Proceed as follows to restore the current GPS posi-
tions as the starting point.
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Multipoint Route.
3. Select starting point.
4. Select menu item Delete Starting Point.
5. Press OK.
Start route simulation
This function can render a route simulation.
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item New Route.
3. Enter the destination with the desired method.
3. Select menu item Select as Destination.
4. Press .
5. Select menu item Simulation.

A route must be calculated before it can be simulat-
ed. A route can also be simulated while navigation is
running.
Press NAV Route Summary Simulation.
Skip back to the last driving maneuver
Press .
Skip forward to the next driving maneuver
Press .
Cancel simulation
Press .
Increase simulation speed
Press 1 x . The simulation speed is increased by 4x,
8x, or 16x.
End simulation
Press .

Switch to map view
You can switch to the map view of the navigation
with the following methods:
1. Press HOME .
2. Press Map .

The symbol for the next driving maneuver (top
le) provides information about the type of driving
maneuver, e.g. turn right. A subsequent driving
maneuver that follows shortly thereaer is rendered
as a smaller symbol (to the right).

When the digital map contains the corresponding
data, the Porsche Classic Communication Manage-
ment Plus can display driving lane recommendations
for the upcoming driving maneuvers on multi-lane
roads. Driving lane recommendations are shown
with small arrows along the bottom of the map. The
recommended driving lane is highlighted.

When additional information is available, the arrows
are replaced by trac signs. The trac signs show
the available destinations and the number of the
street to where the relevant lane travels. During
active navigation, the signs that lead to the recom-
mended traveling lane are highlighted.
Display useful information
The navigation soware supplies certain useful
additional information, such as country information.
Proceed as follows to retrieve these:
1.
Press HOME Nav .
2. Select menu item Useful Information.
3. Select from the following information:
Where Am I: Shows the current vehicle position.
Help nearby: Shows preset points of interest
categories, such as nearby repair shops.
Sunrise & Sunset: Shows the sunup and sun-
down time for the current vehicle position.
GPS information: Shows information for GPS
signal strength and satellite positions.
