Safety instructions
Perfect technology: Prerequisite for your safety
High-quality materials and excellent workman-
ship ensure that Porsche Classic Communication
Management has a long service life. Porsche Classic
Communication Management needs your attention
and care to full its potential. This will ensure that
Porsche Classic Communication Management can
be relied upon even in critical situations.
Porsche Classic Communication Management is the
central control unit for the radio, media functions,
iPod, external audio sources, sound settings, naviga-
tion and BT telephony.
The following points must be observed to ensure
that you do not endanger or harm yourself or oth-
ers when using Porsche Classic Communication
Management:
Risk of accident
Any distraction may cause control of the vehicle to
be lost.
Only operate Porsche Classic Communication
Management when the vehicle is safely under
control and the trac situation permits. If in
doubt, stop the vehicle and operate Porsche
Classic Communication whilst stationary.
Risk of accident
The navigation system only provides the driver with
support and suggests a route.
This does not release the driver from the full respon-
sibility for correct driving style and behaviour in road
trac in accordance with the rules of the German
Road Trac Regulations (StVO) and other relevant
regulations. The driver is responsible for assessing
the trac situation. The driver retains sole responsi-
bility for driving the vehicle safely.
Remain aware of the trac situation.
Risk of injury
Risk of injury. Do not use the telephone close to
explosive substances (e.g. at a petrol station) or
close to explosives.
In certain hazardous areas, such as close to petrol
stations, fuel depots, chemical plants and blasting
operations, mobile phones must be switched o.
Their use could interfere with technical equipment.
Observe relevant instructions.
Observe legal regulations and local restrictions
when using the telephone.
Risk of damage
The Porsche Classic Communication Management
contains high-quality electronic components whose
maintenance and care requires special attention.
The following points should be observed:
- The screen is susceptible to scratches.
- The device must not be splashed with liquids.
The ingress of liquids may destroy the device.
Clean your Porsche Classic Communication
Management carefully from time to time with a
dry, clean and so cloth (microbre cloth) or a
cleaning brush.
Do not exert excessive pressure on the surface
when cleaning.
Never use solvents such as methylated spirits,
thinners, petrol, acetone or alcohol (ethanol,
methanol or isopropyl alcohol) or abrasives.
Remove ngerprints with a damp cloth or mild
detergent.
Never spray detergents or other liquids directly
onto the screen. Instead, moisten a cloth and
gently wipe the screen.
In the event of a malfunction never open the
Porsche Classic Communication Management
device yourself! In the event of a fault have the
device repaired at a qualied specialist workshop.
We recommend that a Porsche Partner is used for
this work as they have trained workshop personnel
and the necessary parts and tools.

A button HOME
Use the HOME button to navigate through the
main menu and access the following functions:

B button TUNER
Use the TUNER to access the radio mode and
change between FM/AM/DAB+.
C button MEDIA
Use the MEDIA button to access the mode to
play the media:

– Ext. Bluetooth audio source

D button PHONE
Use the PHONE button to switch to Bluetooth®-
hands-free mode.
E Button NAV
Use the NAV button to switch to the GPS

– Press and hold the le knob to switch the
device on and o.
– Turn the le knob to adjust the volume
of the active audio source
– Press the le knob briey to activate or
deactivate the mute function
– Press the le knob briey to briey to
cancel an incoming announcement (TA).
H Besides the touchscreen the right-hand knob
is the central control element:
– Turn the knob to highlight the desired
menu item.
– Press to select a highlighted menu item.
– Turn to change the value of some of the
settings (such as the fader).
– Press and hold the le knob to activate
Apple/Android speech recognition.
I Skip le/Skip right
– Press the skip buttons to highlight the
next/previous station or track.
– Press the skip buttons to highlight the
desired menu item.
J Touchscreen display
In addition to the right-hand knob the
touchscreen is also a central control element.
Any menu item can be selected directly from the
touchscreen display.
K Microphone
The built-in microphone is used to make a tel-
ephone call with the Bluetooth® hands-free kit.
L Sensor for switching between day/night settings
The day/night sensor enables the device to de-
tect the current ambient lighting level and adjust
the display brightness accordingly.

The MicroSDHC navigation soware card slot
holds the MicroSDHC navigation soware and
map material card.

The Mediabox
A USB port

The Mediabox supplied is used to connect the fol-
lowing:
USB sticks (up to max. 32 GB) for playing music
les.
Aux-In: 3.5 mm jack connection for external
media sources.
USB port for Apple® CarPlay/Android Auto™
We recommend installing the Mediabox in the glove
compartment or centre console.

The installation positions mentioned are merely rec-
ommendations. As the situation in individual vehicles
may vary, please contact your Porsche Centre for
information on the best installation option.

Use the HOME button to navigate through the main
menu and access the following functions:

mode and between the FM/AM/DAB+ reception
bands.

Indicates the program memory location of the
currently selected station.

This display gives information on current radio
text. This information is additional information
transmitted by the radio station and shown as
text in the display. For example, this may be the
song title and artist of the track currently being
played or current news.
