FLAT FABRIC CASSETTE INSTALLATION GUIDE

INSTALLATION
REQUIRED TOOLS AND HARDWARE
Determine the correct window for the shade to be installed and whether the shade was ordered
to be inside or outside mounted. Please also consider the control side of the shade. You can
reference the packaging of the shade or you can refer to your order on the PowerShades Portal for
this information.
STEP 1

Before installing the Flat Fabric Cassette shade, Please have measurements from your
order handy. Your shade will come labeled with the room name and shade name on the
outside of the box to help you correctly identify the shade.

Shade > 60”W = 3 Brackets.Shade > 90”W = 4 Brackets. Shade > 120”W = 5 Brackets.

Before mounting your brackets, make sure you position your brackets with efficient spacing. It is
recommended to mount each end bracket a roughly 2” inside each edge of the cassette’s width.
STEP 2
Screw brackets onto the left and right side above the window, centered to measurements.

Mount and screw the brackets at a max of 2” from the left and right side of the window jamb. Bracket
will be screwed inside the top of the threshold with the spacer attached and facing the window. If
additional mounting brackets are needed, evenly distribute across the top inside window jamb even
with the 2 end mounting brackets.
INSIDE MOUNT
Mount and screw brackets top outside window jam, level with one another and centered to
measurements. Max 2” from each end of cassette The spacer will be screwed to the surface through
the bracket. If a third mounting bracket is needed, secure it at the top center of the window. If
additional mounting brackets are needed, evenly distribute across the top above the window even
with the 2 end mounting brackets.
OUTSIDE MOUNT

Mount the cassette to the brackets.

Take the cassette and line the grooves on the top with the spring loaded bracket and press
inward with cassette pushing in the spring loaded extension.
Lift the back of the cassette where the back groove hooks in the back lip of the bracket.
The bracket’s spring extension locks and secures the cassette to the bracket.
