WARNING! Do not operate your new power chair for the first time without completely
reading and understanding this owners manual.

exte sive variety of products to best fit the i dividual eeds of the power chair user. Please be aware that the fi al
selectio a d purchasi g decisio regardi g the type of power chair to be used is the respo sibility of the power
chair user, who is capable of maki g such a decisio , a d his/her healthcare professio al (i.e., medical doctor,
physical therapist, etc.).
The co te ts of this ma ual are based o the expectatio that a mobility device expert has properly fitted the power
chair to the user a d has assisted the prescribi g healthcare professio al a d/or the authorised Pride provider i the
i structio process for the use of the product.
There are certai situatio s, i cludi g some medical co ditio s, where the power chair user will eed to practice
operati g the power chair i the prese ce of a trai ed atte da t. A trai ed atte da t ca be defi ed as a family
member or care professio al specially trai ed i assisti g a power chair user i various daily livi g activities.
As you begi usi g your power chair duri g daily activities, you will probably e cou ter situatio s i which you will
eed some practice. Simply take your time a d you will soo be i full a d co fide t co trol as you ma euver
through doorways, o a d off of elevators, up a d dow ramps, a d over moderate terrai .
Below are some precautio s, tips, a d other safety co sideratio s that will help the user become accustomed to
operati g the power chair safely.
Modifications
Pride has desig ed a d e gi eered your power chair to provide maximum mobility a d utility. A wide ra ge of
accessories is available from your authorised Pride provider to further customise your power chair to better suit
your eeds a d/or prefere ces. However, u der o circumsta ces should you modify, add, remove, or disable a y
feature, part, or fu ctio of your power chair.
WARNING! Do not modify your power chair in any way not authorised by Pride. Unauthorised
modifications may result in personal injury and/or damage to your power chair.
Pre-Ride Safety Check
Get to k ow the feel of your power chair a d its capabilities. Pride recomme ds that you perform a safety check
before each use to make sure your power chair operates smoothly a d safely.
Perform the followi g i spectio s prior to usi g your power chair:
nCheck for proper tyre i flatio . Mai tai 2-2.4 bar (30-35 psi) i each tyre (if equipped with p eumatic tyres).
nCheck all electrical co ectio s. Make sure they are tight a d ot corroded.
nCheck all co troller co ectio s to the electro ics tray. Make sure they are secured properly.
nCheck the brakes. See VII. Care a d Mai te a ce.
nCheck battery charge. See V. Batteries a d Chargi g.
