VOOR GEBRUIK
Lees voordat u dit apparaat gaat gebruiken deze instructies zorgvuldig. Bewaar ze om ze later nog eens te
kunnen raadplegen. Controleer of de netspanning in uw woning overeenkomt met die van het apparaat.
Sluit dit apparaat uitsluitend aan op een geaard stopcontact.
De waterkoker is voorzien van een droogkookbeveiliging, een resetknop en een indicatorlampje.
DE WATERKOKER GEBRUIKEN
U dient de waterkoker alleen te gebruiken voor het koker van water, nooit van andere vloeistoffen of
ingrediënten.
Breng eerst een volle ketel water aan het koken om de waterkoker te reinigen. Gooi dit water weg.
Plaats het apparaat op een stevige, stabiele ondergrond. Vul de waterkoker altijd tot onder het maximum-
niveau. Steek de stekker in het stopcontact en zet de waterkoker aan door op de restknop in het handvat te
drukken. Het indicatielampje gaat aan. Zodra het water kookt, wordt de waterkoker automatisch uitgeschakeld
en gaat het indicatielampje uit. Laat het apparaat afkoelen.
Zet de waterkoker niet aan als deze leeg is. Als u de waterkoker per ongeluk leeg aanzet, schakelt de
droogkookbeveiliging hem automatisch weer uit.
Door water in de waterkoker te doen, koelt de droogkookbeveiliging af en kunt u de waterkoker gewoon
weer gebruiken.
NB:
Vul de waterkoker nooit verder dan tot het MAX-streepje. Anders kan er kokend water uit de waterkoker
spatten.
SCHOONMAKEN
HAAL VOORDAT U MET REINIGEN BEGINT EERST DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT EN
LAAT DE WATERKOKER AFKOELEN.
De buitenzijde van de waterkoker kunt u met een vochtige doek afnemen.
ONTKALKEN
Gebruik een ontkalkingsmiddel voor huishoudelijke apparaten, zoals koffiezetters. Zet de waterkoker
tijdens het ontkalken niet aan. Laat het middel goed inwerken terwijl de waterkoker koud is. Spoel de
waterkoker daarna een aantal keer met schoon water om.
PRINCESS-TIPS
- Plaats de waterkoker op een stevige, stabiele ondergrond. Gebruik de waterkoker niet op een hellend vlak.
- Gebruik de waterkoker alleen als het verwarmingselement helemaal onder water staat.
- Als de ketel te vol is, kan er kokend water uit spuiten.
- Dompel de waterkoker nooit onder in water of een andere vloeistof.
- De buitenkant van het apparaat kan erg heet worden. Pak de waterkoker daarom alleen aan de hand-
greep beet.
- Zorg dat het apparaat niet dermate dicht bij de rand van een tafel of een ander werkoppervlak staat, dat
iemand hem eraf zou kunnen stoten. Laat het snoer niet over rand hangen of op de vloer. Iemand zou
erover kunnen struikelen. Let op: de waterkoker bevat kokend water!
- Gebruik het apparaat niet als het apparaat of het snoer beschadigd is. Stuur het in dit geval op naar
onze servicedienst. - Een beschadigd snoer van dit type apparaat mag alleen door onze servicedienst
worden vervangen met behulp van speciaal gereedschap.
- Plaats dit apparaat niet op of in de buurt van een warme kookplaat of andere warmtebron.
- Haal altijd eerst de stekker uit het stopcontact als zich een storing voordoet of als u het
apparaat gaat schoonmaken.
- Zorg ervoor dat kinderen niet met dit apparaat spelen.
- Het is niet zonder gevaar om dit apparaat te laten gebruiken door kinderen of personen
met een geestelijke of lichamelijke handicap, of met te weinig ervaring of deskundig-
heid. De voor de veiligheid van deze gebruikers verantwoordelijke persoon dient ze
duidelijke instructies te geven voor of ze te begeleiden bij het gebruik van dit apparaat.
- Dit apparaat is niet gemaakt om zonder begeleiding te worden gebruikt door kinderen of
onbekwame volwassenen.

BEFORE USING
Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference. Check whether the voltage in
the home corresponds with that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance to an earthed socket.
The kettle comes complete with boil-dry protection, a reset button and an indicator light.
USING THE KETTLE
The kettle should be used exclusively for boiling water; never use it with other liquids or ingredients.
First boil a full kettle of water to clean the kettle and discard this water.
Place the kettle on a sturdy, stable surface. Always fill the kettle less than maximum indicator. Plug in and
turn the kettle on by pressing the reset button in the handle. The indicator lamp will be illuminated. When
the water boils, the kettle switches itself off automatically and the indicator light goes out. Allow the
appliance to cool down. Don’t operate the kettle when it is empty. If the kettle is accidentally switched on
when empty, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off.
Adding water will then cool the boil-dry protection mechanism enabling you to use the kettle as normal.
NOTE:
Do not fill the kettle higher than the MAX level indicator or boiling water may spray out.
CLEANING
FIRST REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE SOCKET AND ALLOW THE KETTLE TO COOL DOWN
BEFORE CLEANING.
The outside of the kettle can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
DESCALING
Use a descaling agent suitable for household appliances, such as coffee machines. Do not switch the kettle
on during descaling, but allow the agent to soak in while the kettle is still cool. Rinse the kettle several
times with clean water.
PRINCESS TIPS
- Set the kettle on a sturdy, stable surface. Do not operate the kettle on an inclined plane.
- Do not operate the kettle unless the element is fully immersed.
- If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
- Never immerse the kettle in water or any other liquid.
- The exterior can become quite hot. Only pick up the kettle using the handle.
- Ensure that the appliance is not so close to the edge of a table, counter top, etc., that someone could
knock it over. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge or on the floor, as someone may become
entangled or trip over it. Remember: the kettle contains hot water!
- Do not use the equipment if it is damaged, or if the lead is damaged. Send it to our Service
Department. With this type of appliance, a damaged cord should must only be replaced by our service
department using special tools.
- Do not place the appliance on or directly adjacent to a warm hotplate or other source of heat.
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or if any fault develops.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- The use of this appliance by children or persons with a physical, sensory, mental or motorial disability,
or lack of experience and knowledge can give cause to hazards. Persons responsible for their safety
should give explicit instructions or supervise the use of the appliance.
- The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision
U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE = neutral, BROWN = LIVE, GREEN-YELLOW = EARTH
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the
colour markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter L or coloured red.

The wire which is coloured GREEN-YELLOW must be connected to the earth terminal which is marked
with the letter E or or coloured green and yellow.
With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used a 5 amp fuse should be fitted. If any other type of plug is
used a 15 amp fuse must be fitted either in the plug or at the distribution board.

AVANT L'EMPLOI

uniquement à une prise de terre.
La bouilloire est fournie complète avec protection anti-usage à sec, touche de remise à zéro et témoin lumineux.
UTILISATION DE LA BOUILLOIRE
Utiliser la bouilloire uniquement pour faire bouillir de l’eau. Ne pas l’utiliser pour tout autre liquide ou
d’autres ingrédients. Faire d’abord bouillir une pleine bouilloire pour la nettoyer; ne pas utiliser cette eau.
Installer la bouilloire sur une surface stable et solide. Ne jamais remplir la bouilloire au-dessus du niveau
maximum indiqué. Brancher la bouilloire et l’allumer en appuyant sur la touche de remise à zéro située
sur la poignée. Le témoin lumineux s’allume. La bouilloire s’éteint automatiquement dès que l'eau bout et
le témoin lumineux s'éteint. Laissez l'appareil refroidir.
Ne pas allumer la bouilloire sans eau.
Si par inadvertance la bouilloire est allumée sans contenir d’eau, le système de sécurité anti-usage à sec
se déclenchera automatiquement pour l’arrêter. Mettez alors de l’eau dans la bouilloire, ce qui fera refroidir
le dispositif de sécurité, et vous pourrez de nouveau utiliser la bouilloire normalement.
ATTENTION :
Ne jamais remplir la bouilloire au–delà du niveau “MAX” sinon l’eau bouillante déborderait.
ENTRETIEN
ENLEVEZ D'ABORD LA FICHE DE LA PRISE ET LAISSEZ LA BOUILLOIRE REFROIDIR AVANT
DE LA NETTOYER !
Essuyez la paroi extérieure de la bouilloire avec un chiffon humide.
DETARTRAGE
Utilisez un produit détartrant qui convient pour les appareils ménagers tels que cafetières électriques. Ne
pas allumer l’appareil pendant le détartrage, laisser agir le produit à froid. Bien rincer la bouilloire à l’eau
douce à plusieurs reprises après le détartrage.
CONSEILS DE PRINCESS
- Posez l’appareil sur une surface solide et stable. N’utilisez pas la bouilloire sur un plan incliné.
- N’allumez pas la bouilloire si la résistance n’est pas totalement immergée.
- Si la bouilloire est trop remplie, de l’eau bouillante peut être éjectée.
- Ne plongez jamais la bouilloire dans l’eau ni dans tout autre liquide.
- La partie extérieure de la bouilloire devient très chaude. Saisissez la bouilloire uniquement par la poignée.
- Ne placez pas l’appareil près du bord d’une table, d’un plan de travail, etc. pour ne pas risquer de le
heurter ; veillez également à ce que personne ne puisse trébucher sur le cordon ou y rester accroché.
Ne pas oublier que la bouilloire est remplie d’eau brûlante !
- N’utilisez pas l’appareil si celui-ci ou son cordon sont endommagés, mais expédiez-le à notre service
de réparation. La réparation du cordon de ce type d’appareils exige des outils spéciaux et ne peut être
effectuée que par notre service après-vente.
- Ne placez pas l’appareil sur ou à proximité d’une plaque de cuisson chaude, etc.
- Retirez toujours la fiche de la prise avant de nettoyer l’appareil ou s’il est défectueux.
- Ne pas laisser les enfants jouer avec cet appareil.
- L’utilisation de cet appareil par des enfants ou des personnes handicapées physiques,
mentales ou moteurs, ou par des personnes ignorantes ou inexpérimentées, peut être
dangereuse. Les personnes responsables de leur sécurité doivent les informer de façon
explicite ou les surveiller si elles utilisent cet appareil.
- Ne pas laisser des enfants en bas âge ou des infirmes utiliser cet appareil sans surveillance.
