4. Thisheaterneedsfresh,
outside air ventilation to run
properly. This heater has an
Oxygen Depletion Sensor
(ODS) safety shutoff system.
The ODS shuts down the
heater if not enough fresh air
is available. See Fresh Air For
Combustion And Ventilation,
pages 4through 6.
5. Keep all air openings in the
front and bottom of heater
clear and free of debris. This
will insure enough air for
proper combustion.
6. If heatershuts off,do not
relight until you provide fresh,
outside air. If heater keeps
shutting off, have it serviced.
7. Do not operate heater
lwhere flammableliquids or va
porsare used orstored
lunder dustyconditions
9. Do notuseheaterifanypart
has been under water.
Immediately call a qualified
service technician to inspect
the room heater and to
replace any part of the control
system and any gas control
whichhasbeenunderwater.
10. Turnoffheaterandletcool
before servicing.Only aqualified
servicepersonshouldservice
andrepairheater.
11. Operating heateraboveelevations
of 4,500feetcould cause pilot
outage.
12.Topreventperformanceproblems,
do not usepropane/LPfuel tank of
less than 100 lbs. capacity.
13. Do not install in abathroom
except model ML060HBA.
Carbon MonoxidePoisoning:
Early signsof carbonmonoxide
poisoning resemble the flu with
headaches,dizziness, or nausea.
If you havethese signs,the heater
may not be workingproperly. Get
fresh air atonce! Haveheater
serviced.Some people are more
affectedbycarbonmonoxidethan
others. These include pregnant
women,personswithheart orlung
disease oranemia, those under the
influenceof alcohol, and those
at high altitudes.
Propane/LP: Propane/LP gas is
odorless.An odor-making agent is
added to Propane/LP gas. The odor
helpsyou detect aPropane/LP gas
leak. However,the odoradded to
Propane/LP gas canfade.
Propane/LP gas may be present
eventhough no odorexists.
Make certainyouread andunder-
stand all warnings. Keep thismanual
forreference.Itis your guide tosafe
andproperoperation of this heater.
DANGER: Carbon monoxide
